Ampharos Ampharos is the final form of the Mareep line and first appeared in Gen II and would receive a Mega form in Gen VI. It's base form is electric and it's mega evolution is Electric/Dragon. Like the rest of its line, Ampharos is based off a sheep, in this case a sheared sheep or, in the Pokemon world, a sheep that's lost all its wool due to the electricity the Pokemon has stored up. It's known as the "Light Pokemon" because it, and more specifically, its tail shine so brightly it can be seen from the ocean (or in Gen III even from space!). It's a very popular Pokemon and it gets very good stats that get a bump with its Mega Evolution. Sorry to all its fans (@totes4totes), but it gets cut here.
