I know a couple of them read this forum haha. As sad as it is, it’s that way in the music business all the way around. If you’re a woman you have to work twice as hard… and if you’re a POC, even double that. Lainey Wilson was literally the only solo female artist to have a number one on the country charts last year. I knew about the audience’s favor to men (specifically straight, white country males) since I had seen it play out on The Voice and just from watching Idol over the years. We (the female contestants) never talked about it, but I think we all knew and know simply based off of what it’s like to be a woman in this industry (and the world) already lol.

None of us think this honestly LOL… lotssss of BTS things and conversations have been had. Triston’s wise beyond his years for a reason. He deserves the title and could benefit it more than anyone else. Also, any of the top 24 can be picked up by the label and they’re not obligated to sign the winner. There’s a lot of stuff I would love to just outwardly say, but I do think I need to maintain a good relationship with the label from here on out

This is easy to say and way harder to do. It’s like a big groupchat dedicated to talking about our real lives. It’s simply human nature to want to know what is being said

I really appreciate this! I can confidently say that I know it was bad, I can do better and I deserved to go home. That performance felt so far removed from who I am as an artist. I did myself a disservice by chronically reading all the comments and messages LOL. Sooo many wanted to see me lose my guitar and “work the stage”. I misinterpreted that, let it get to my head and let myself be pushed beyond what I was comfortable with and capable of… I wasn’t being ME! I had a fun run, but I was ready to go! I felt it was my time to go before the show even started and I KNEW it was after murdering poor shania’s song haha. I had a rough week and I think mentally, I had given up… and it came through in my performance. I am so thankful for the journey and the experiences though! Some of the best few months of my life!! beautiful things to come!
