  1. Zan looked stunned. I still have a read of her that she’s a little arrogant. It has started to come through the last couple of weeks. Allegra has been better than her two weeks in a row, so she’s going to have a very tough instant save challenge. Toneisha is really tough too.
  2. Being extra critical to provide some separation. Joanna Serenko - 7.5 Micah Iverson - 7.5 Todd Tilghman - 9.0 Zan Fiskum - 6.5 Thunderstorm Artis - 9.0 Megan Danielle - 7.0 Allegra Miles - 7.0 Toneisha Harris - 8.5 CammWess - 7.5
  3. CammWess v. Zan is going to be close. Both artists took their songs and completely changed/ruined them but were still competitive due to their talent. I might have to blame John on that one. He’s the common thread there.
  4. Zan is going to get crushed. She won’t get the votes with this matchup and she can’t win this wildcard either. She’s out.
  5. Toneisha was technically a top 3 or so performance tonight, but anyone that thinks she’s getting more votes than Todd tonight is delusional. Toneisha has a really good shot at the wild card though
  6. Right, which is why I said the question is which one will get it. The loser will also probably lose the wild card.
  7. IMO the only question left is whether Zan or CammWess will get the 5th spot. Todd, Thunderstorm, Micah, and Toneisha are looking good for the top 4 - assuming Toneisha doesn’t blow up
  8. Allegra was fine but she doesn’t have the range for that song. I think that might have locked up the wild card for the Todd/Toneisha loser, which will probably be Toneisha.
  9. Look, I get she has a sad background, but Megan has brought up the fact that her dad left her three separate times. Comes off as a little manipulative to get votes to me.
  10. It’s going to be: 1. Thunderstorm 2. Todd 3. Micah/Megan Danielle 4. CammWess (unless he falls apart) 5. Allegra/Toneisha
  11. Thunderstorm is putting on a clinic this season on knowing what his strengths are and hammering them rather than trying to do things that he can’t do. Some of the other competitors should take note of that
  12. I’m getting that vibe because she has tried to drastically jazz up/improve songs two weeks in a row. There’s a difference between putting your own touch on something and completely changing it.
  13. Two weeks in a row, Zan has sounded OK but completely butchered a song but not singing it right at all. She’s starting to strike me as someone who thinks she’s a lot better than she really is. She’s a good singer, but trying to showboat above your level is a massive turnoff.
  14. Todd is the first lock for the finale. Toneisha just won’t get the votes to beat him with that even if she knocks it out of the park.
  15. Forgot Joanna has to compete against both Todd and Toneisha. That’s a buzzsaw and she won’t get the instant save either. Micah basically has to beat Megan Danielle. Based on that... I think it will be a VERY close battle.
  16. Joanna did fine. It’s hard to see her in the top 4, but that will be competitive and she definitely didn’t take herself out of it
  17. I really don’t think there are any locks. There’s a second threat on every team. Thunderstorm is probably the closest to a lock, because he got the vote last week when Allegra performed extremely well, so that’s probably foreshadowing what could happen again. CammWess/Zan will completely come down to the songs chosen. Micah/Megan is close. Toneisha has outperformed Todd before, although that was one-sided last week. I think there are only a few that are serious threats to take the title, but actually making it to the finale ... it’s going to be close this season.
  18. This is going to be a crazy episode next week. I’ve said it before — I’m not sure this year’s winner will be any better than average as far as winners go, but this field is extremely deep. I can only point to about 3 names out of the 9 and definitively say they won’t win. There’s an argument for several to steal this thing.
  19. Anyway, after a bunch of analysis, I’ve got: Nick PV - Thunderstorm CS - Allegra IS - Michael W. John PV - Zan CS - Mandi C. IS - CammWess Kelly PV - Micah CS - Megan Danielle IS - Cedrice Blake PV - Todd CS - Toneisha IS - Joanna S. the 9th spot - I’ve been going back and forth on it a lot - but I think CammWess is going to get it.
  20. I’m actually really surprised that Mandi Castillo doesn’t seem to be getting more momentum. I think she was a top 5 or so competitor coming into this stage, and did nothing last night to shake that. She has one of the two or three toughest KO wins (she beat Thunderstorm head-to-head). Unfortunately, I think she may suffer some at this stage because of the rising anti-Hispanic sentiment in this country right now. People hear Spanish and immediately react negatively. I think she’s going to end up being the coach save for her team.
  21. Thunderstorm - 9 Allegra - 9 Arei - 6 Roderick - 7 Michael - 7 Zan - 8 Mike J. - 7 Mandi C. - 9 CammWess - 8 Megan Danielle - 8 Mandi Thomas - 6 Micah - 9 Cedrice - 7 Toneisha - 8 Joei - 7 Joanna - 8 Todd - 10
  22. Thunderstorm, Allegra, Zan, Mandi, Micah, Megan Danielle, Todd, Toneisha, and CammWess. That’s my prediction for T9. That 9 spot is tough to figure out though. Fairly confident in the first 8.
  23. Ok? And what did I say that’s inconsistent with that?
  24. Mandi is in. Starting to get a sense of where the bar will be now, and Mandi, Thunderstorm and Allegra are all locks. Zan probably too. Gets dicey after that.
  25. This is my exact list, but put the space between Allegra and Zan instead. And, Zan destroyed Thunderstorm and Allegra at the KO stage but this just wasn’t as good.
