After further evaluation, I still think Alyssa > RLETTO but I also think RLETTO > Zoe. I don’t get the hype with Zoe’s KO. Other than being on-pitch I don’t really think she did anything impressive or ear-catching. Maybe I’m missing something but to me she’s just so… bland as a vocalist? Like at least RLETTO tried to do something interesting.

Am I the only one who thought Tae slayed that? For a typical country male contestant, this would be a pretty bad song choice, but Tae’s energy and vocal range made it work for me. I personally like it more than his Knockout. Kinda figured IDF would be lukewarm to it though.

She has an April 20 show in Washington so that’s probably why. But that’s her last show until May 31.

Charlie has been growing on me ever since he grew facial hair and shut up about T. Swift and honestly I would take him over Hunter as a winner at this point so if Charlie can cause the downfall of his alliance I’m all for it

Jackie - I don't know about y'all, but this girl's tone is absolute ear candy to me. Every time she goes into her mid or upper chest voice, she just sounds like money. It's just her lower register which I feel she needs to develop. Also, I don't even care that she chose an overdone song, because she totally made it her own. Second best of the night after Karen. Zoe - I loved her song choice, and I did enjoy the performance, but I feel like people were kinda overstating how well she did vocally? She deserved to advance for sure, but I wouldn't have picked her over Jackie.

Alyssa - I kept waiting for her to mess up so her elimination could somehow be justified, but it never happened. There was just no excuse for Chance the F*pper to cut Alyssa after that performance. That felt like the sort of breakout moment that an underdog contestant would be rewarded for, but instead she just gets sent packing. Boo. RLETTO - There were some genuinely solid moments here and there, but overall the flip did not work for me. The phrasing was very awkward for most of it; I mean, the verses had no real flow to them. I have to give him credit for the moments of beauty, but c'mon, Alyssa should have had this. Her performance was so much more cohesive.

Justin & Jeremy - I personally HATE this song choice but I just know if these two did that at the Filipino family reunion they would be racking up the cash from the titos and titas. I saw quite a bit of contempt for them in the discussion thread but honestly? They're not that bad guys Definitely unpolished but they've got something going. Zeya - I thought this was gonna be good based on how she started but the chorus onwards felt limp. She does not have the firepower to pull off a song like this. Everytime she tries to do a climactic run or high note it just comes off like... that was it?
