teenage dirtbag is kinda an iconic pick for Kayko. glad he is leaning into the millenial campy emo vibe
(this is me proving to y'all im not a hater!!!!)
the only songs i know are Kayko/Abi/McKenna/Jack so it will be an interesting episode for me.

agree with most of your thoughts but i wouldn't say Jayna had an "old-school artist identity." she was a powerhouse with a modern, rock edge to her (which i would say contributed to her downfall since rock has less voting appeal than diva ballads )
overall tho i'm really happy she returned this season and served us some great performances. was a very satisfying arc imo (tho i wish she could have gone further)!

McKenna put #iris in her post so I'm guessing that's her song choice! Overdone but I love that for her tbh

Wrong year.it was released in November '97 but wasn't a single until January '98. I wonder how strict they will be about incidents like that.

McKenna could potentially perform "You're Still The One." She would sound good on it and the extra pimpage from singing Shania's song when she's mentoring could help her.

I think this is the most I've seen idol contestants talk about or refer to IDF. Contestants from the last few seasons never brought this site up at all lmao.
yeah as far as i know it has barely or never been mentioned by contestants before this season (in the ABC era - can't speak for the FOX era). The Voice subforum has been acknowledged a lot more; perhaps the increased amount of Voice alum in recent Idol seasons has resulted in disucssion about it?

I don't know if she is right or not but Elleigh said on her live that she thinks there is going to be a top 24 tour.
maybe she is referencing something similar to the Losers Circle concert from last year?
i am not sure how a Top 24 tour would logistically work and i won't get my hopes up for one, but if it does happen, that would be incredible! i was just thinking about the other day how it would be really cool if they were to bring it back. i'm sure they could fill some smaller venues in large cities.

thanks for compiling that! it is interesting but ultimately i don't think I'm going to put much influence in the stats this week because the only people who seem to be consistent across both nights are Will/Triston being near the top and McKenna being near the bottom. the fact that 6 contestants have their average ranking between the very small range of 5.17-6.00 is telling.

If these are their outfits for tomorrow, it looks like Julia might be singing another country song lol

I see all 5 of them potentially being in danger. I believe Jack is actually one of the more vulnerable ones. McKenna is the only one I'm 99% sure goes tomorrow.
i agree that she is probably the most vulnerable, but i think 99% is a bit ambitious.
she is the most followed contestant in the Top 10 on Instagram (she had 34.7k on February 21st and has 123k now - InsTrack does not go back further than that so we can't see what she had before her audition was leaked/aired). i know instagram is not an indicator we typically use but that has to mean something.
she is also someone that TPTB have continuously supported (based on pimpage, performing spots, etc.) i can see them pulling out all the stops tomorrow if she is truly at risk.

anyways
is anybody feeling particularly confident in their predictions for tomorrow? i am still unsure and could very much see it being any combo of Emmy/Julia/Kayko/McKenna. i also could honestly see Jack being bottom 2 if the people i listed all perform well/are given strong edits but he doesn't.

Bumping since submissions close in about 12 hours! Reminder to get last minute submissions/edits in if you wish.

@MalwareDie im one of the people trying to give yall the benefit of the doubt but if you want to maintain any sense of credibility you need to drop both the supposed part 1 and part 2 in one post. you already have people who dont care about part 1, let alone a part 2.
also, tbh, i'm not sure how i feel about people calling Idol Maniac a "fraud" and "attention seeker." he has done a lot for this community by providing accurate spoilers for this side of the forum for over a decade. that's much longer than most of us who currently post here have even been on this site.

i have had McKenna's performance of "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" on repeat this week (along with "cardigan" ofc) which is surprising since i initially wasn't a fan of it. i don't think it was the best song choice for her at this point in the competition but she still sounded great on it!

What do you hope to achieve by posting these? Affect the vote? Kicked off the show? Career ruined? There has to be a motive.well now that we know "multiple contestants" are reading the forum it could be used to make certain contestants nervous or potentially create drama amongst the cast (which is messy imo but...)

i have a feeling that what's being teased is not going to live up to the hype, and discourse about it not living up to the hype will overshadow whatever is exposed lol

there is literally a thread that contains homophobia and it has been up for 1 day yet the moderator (u/MarionCotesworthyHayes) has not taken it down. however they were extremely quick to remove Caitlyn's testimony against Will's band mate/flag Kennedy's account as fake when it wasn't.
what a gross person (and subreddit in general but we know this)

i'm living for Allegra's new era. such a fun bop!
-
just listened to Haven's EP and it was cute! her vocals have improved and she has a clear vision for her artistry. it sounds very similar to Tate McRae's recent album "think later" so it didn't feel very original overall. this is going to sound crazy but the bridges of Kiss the Ground and Monster are kinda convincing me she could sound cool doing hyper pop, but i'm sure she has no plans of doing that lol.
How You Like Me Now is a bop and going on my playlist!

i'd actually say Haley hasn't had a glow up because she has always been stunning and has barely aged a day since Season 10 tbh.
