With almost half of Top 9 singing country this time and a lot of county winners and runner-ups (many of them unfairly), it came again to my mind an idea for a Country The Voice as a spin-off of the main show. It will please everyone: NBC because of the high viewer rating (they spent money on flops like Songland, so why not?), country stans as they would have their own TV show and non-country fans who will finally have a diversified and mixed top 9. Do you think it will resonate well among the audience?

I bet we will have the first AA woman winning if she: A- is a teenager; B- joins Blake's team; C- sings country well and D- receives pimp treatment from TPTB, while other country acts fail.

Fun fact: this show haven't ever crowned an AA woman (and I highly doubt this will change unfortunately)

We have also every season a Jim, a Ben, a Tanner, a Bailey... The difference is that country people always win or place second, while AA women never won

Yes maybe in her IG she looked stunning but at her season I don't think so. Even Spensha looked more gorgeous IMO Jake and Josiah were handsome, but as I prefer black hair I would take Viktor and Ryan any day. His "relative" Josh was also beautiful

I suggested to Payge on YT, as TV has a limited songbook, to sing "Against All Odds" that is unfortunately a overdone song but certainly allowed for people sing there and shows off the rasp in her pure voice and also a rock emotional song. I hope against all odds she will be the first AA woman winner and Gwen's winner ever!

Maelyn says hi. But agreed. This show gets me tired because every season a male country reaches the finale while a black woman is voted off in bloodbath or best case scenario ends up being the runner up losing to a country boy.

Yes that's it. Racism + machismo + ageism (most of black women in finale are actually teens)

It's called a token. There are 3 black finalists this season probably because of team quotas, since if we didn't have that, Cammwess wouldn't reach it. Now talking about winners we have only 3 black ones and only men, against 14 white ones. I'm not telling the whole audience is racist but a good part of them is, specially from team Minivan which is usually conservative.
