As a Todd fan, I’ll say it: the minute TPTB got their hands on footage of his kids napping while he was singing in the semifinals, it was game over for everyone else, regardless of whether or not they were technically stronger as vocalists.
Toneisha is a contestant who would’ve thrived in the live shows (same with Todd, for different reasons), but her coming in second with Thunderstorm being a heavy favorite online is still impressive.
Yeah, I think Toneisha could have definitely done better in actual Lives, given we didn’t have many powerful vocalists that season. This style of performances definitely allowed the more intimate singers to shine though, and that season was full of them. And Todd’s semifinal performance was basically a formula for winning The Voice (middle-aged white man, 90s country ballad, show all eight kids during the performance). I think the Top 3 would not have changed, but Toneisha could have possibly made a better case for me personally (She didn’t have a performance in the real season that stuck out to me like a few from Thunderstorm or Todd). Having Rose Short on the previous season could have potentially raised the bar though- 3

^ Here’s his performance from the parade. He sounds great!
I missed seeing this performance on TV this morning, considering I was around the area today. And I actually know the host that introduced him.- 1

What if Bella didn’t flop and she was in Ari’s T3? How far do you think she would have made it
If she was still good, I’m guessing she would still be in at this point, considering TPTB wouldn’t have needed to push for Jim and Sasha in the save like they did. -
Want and Think- Girl Named Tom
I know I’ve been hyping them a lot, but they aren’t like anyone else that’s made it far on the show. Not to mention they’re the act I’ve consistently enjoyed the most since the beginning of the competition. Also, Wichita Lineman felt like a winner’s performance to me, and I tend to root for the contestants that deliver the most memorable performances.

Very well recieved if I remember correctly. Especially since that night (and playoffs in general) were pretty criticized.
Playoffs were very negatively received that year, but both of Jackie’s playoff performances actually got good reception here. People were nervous for her playoff chances due to her choosing to move to Team Alicia, but her performances proved everyone wrong. -

I can actually picture him realistically performing that- 2

One thing is obvious, Ariana didn’t understand the types of contenders who do well with voters. That obviously included Hailey, but I would also throw David into that mix, even though he didn’t get the playoff PV. It’s difficult to lose a battle or KO and go deep into the competition. Ariana instead chose to triple down on 20-something female pop singers. That’s not going to work unless one of them is Maelyn. She should have diversified….pick one 20-something pop singer, one teen, and one potentially appealing male like David.
I think that if she kept David, he could have been a PV, or at least a WC contender. Maybe she could have saved him, given that he was one of her original team members, but we’ll never know. He could have potentially fared better than some of her acts that made T13.- 3

I think it might go like this in terms of closers:
Top 10: Either Jershika or Joshua.
Bloodbath: Holly, if they are that desperate in getting Ariana to the finale, even though she already closed Top 13. If not Holly, then Wendy, since they probably want her there too, and it could happen since Britton closed both POs and Semis.
Finale: I think this one is reserved for GNT.
I think Wendy is probably going to close again, and I can actually see her closing the finale. If Holly needs the save, they are definitely going to pimp her there. That might be a reason why they did the 5 person finale this season, to make it easier for her to get in. -

I think it will be Holly, GNT isn’t going to need it to make the top 4
Holly already closed the Top 13, and some contestants who have won the show closed in Semis (Jake Hoot, Jordan, Carter) -

I tried to find some pattern with S17 but no luck. although the closers were the clear contenders.
POs: John (Katie) // Blake (Wendy)
Top13: Gwen (Rose) // Ariana (Holly)
Top 11: Blake (Ricky) // Kelly (Hailey)
Top 10: John (WILL)
Semi: Kelly (Hoot)
Final: Gwen (Rose)
if the trend were repeated Blake would close again, but Hoot was winning and Will had a song that was SCREAMING closer
I have a feeling Girl Named Tom will close in the Semis- 2

In no particular order
Team Adam
Addison Agen
Emily Luther
Adam Cunningham or Jon Mero
Team Miley
Brooke Simpson
Janice Freeman
Moriah Formica
Team JHud
Davon Fleming
Noah Mac
Chris Weaver
Team Blake
Chloe Kohanski
Keisha Renee
Mitchell Lee? (I’d have kept Adam C here)
From here, Addison, Brooke, Janice, Moriah, Davon, Noah, Chloe and Keisha would be my dream Semis lineup

Gymani had a very solid run on the show, and I can’t really say anything negative about her run. She made a great first impression when she sang POV and got a Four Chair Turn. It was funny to see the reactions to her picking Kelly over Ariana. She had decent battle and knockout performances that helped her make the Lives. I saw five performances from her, and I don’t think any of them were bad. Her playoff was very solid, on a team that was very good, and deserved to make T13. She has good performances in T13 and T11, and had a great Instant Save the first time and did what she could the second time. It was sad to see that the show wanted her gone, since I didn’t. I rooted for her in both saves, continuing my streak of wanting a Team Kelly artist to win the Instant Save dating back to S19. Gymani joins artists such as Janice, Sharane and Myracle in Top 11 Victims Club, since their eliminations all made me sad. In a season with many performers in the Top 10 that I like, her elimination saddened me more than I thought it would.

Sundance and Blake's duet performing the former's father's song (RIP Roy Head), "Treat Her Right."
That’s right. It’s been a while since we had a ringer on the show, or a relative of someone well known. Seasons 10 and 11 were full of those contestants -

That could very well work. It helps that they showed him on facetime with her.
They could use it as a way to help push Wendy into the finale, and we know that she knows him. Have contestants ever sung songs by singers they knew personally, not counting coaches and advisors? -

Does anyone got a full list of who's been brought back would be interesting to see.

First time in seasons they brought back an act that isn’t a country singer.

S14 Top 10 - Britton: he sang Tina
I remember Alicia being the only coach to take that theme seriously that round. Hopefully artists will flip the songs to suit their style, like what Britton did.- 1

I'm surprised Kelly didnt fight more for Gymani. I think it was Ariana's tears that put Jim and Sasha over the top. Kelly doesnt seem nearly as engaged in the show anymore to be honest. Hopefully she doesn't turn into the new Adam.
I think it makes sense why Ariana would put up more of a fight than Kelly. Kelly already had three acts in the Top 10 and Ariana only had one. Not to mention, Kelly probably has the winner on her team, and another act that is now a finale lock -
A lot of times, people towards the bottom in stats finally get eliminated. I can see J&S going home because my least favorite act usually goes home in T10 week. I also have a feeling that Lana will finally end up in B3, and the other member could be Jeremy if he gets similar reception to last week
