  1. I don’t know the song (I don’t listen to mainstream country music), but I’m hoping they do really well. It’s not like Dust in the Wind where I was very familiar with that song.

So the count is pretty even with songs I know and songs I don’t know.

IMO, both Rayshun and Aaron Gibson were weird cases, the former came out of nowhere the second playoffs night after being in the bottom of Team Adam the night before, and the latter had somehow a better reception in the west coast and was able to win all the instant votes (including playoffs) but when it came down to an over night vote he always landed in the bottom.

Isn’t the West Coast a disadvantage for Instant Saves?

I didn't see that but read about it after. It sounded like it went less well than TV.  I almost never see AI mentioned now. lol

Her audition wasn’t shown, I think only her Hollywood group performance was there. Nobody knew she had auditioned until she appeared in Hollywood week, as she never mentioned anything about it.

I think the same thing happened to Taylor John Williams from S7, as he wasn’t shown until Hollywood Week, but in his case, I don’t think he was ever shown singing.

Moriah and Plush opening for Lzzy Hale and Evanescence.

I liked Moriah a lot on TV - back when she was 16 and fell victim in the PO's to Miley's country strategy. Who woulda thought she'd be the first on S13 to break out?  I'm lookin at you, Miley and Chloe 🥺 lol

Moriah had a great sense of professionalism for a 16 year old contestant. She really knew who she was as an artist, and already had recognition from some artists in the rock industry. Even post show, she performed with Joan Jett and the aforementioned artists. Her resume post show has been really good. I was very bummed that she didn’t advance to the Top 12 (I thought she would have had a better shot on other teams), but not winning seemed to work out well for her career.

Are you certain that it's three times? I think I've watched more than three complication videos where they've featured

They were in a groups compilation, but that count was only for Best of the Week

    their ranking

    11. Gymani

    10. Jim and Sasha

    9. Jeremy Rosado

    8. Hailey Mia

    7. Jershika Maple

    6. Joshua Vacanti

    5. Holly Forbes

    4. Lana Scott

    3. Paris Winningham

    2. Wendy Moten

    1. Girl Named Tom

I’d have Lana much lower. She doesn’t seem to be very popular, especially for the only country singer

I thought every single PV was deserved that night. S20 semis on the other hand…

Agree with this. I liked all of the females in S18 and thought they all deserved Semis, but none were my favorites on their respective teams. As for S20, Cam was the only PV I was really happy with. I’d personally say that Season 20 Semis were much harder for me than Season 18 Semis.

  8. Note that I’m going with body of work for some of these contestants, and it’s not a list of robberies. As always, I’m mentioning rounds that nobody really mentioned

I’d say Season 9, 10, 15 and 16 playoffs. Playoffs can definitely be hit or miss, but those playoffs got rid of plenty artists I liked. S9 had Viktor, Ellie, Celeste, Darious and Morgan, who all had solid runs on the show. S10 had Ryan, Tamar, Katie and Joe all eliminated on teams with a controversial contestant in T12. S15 had Kameron, Natasia, Radha and Zaxai eliminated on the same night. S16 playoffs had Domenic, Presley and Kendra as notable eliminations (yeah, that was a very rough night).

Season 12 semis got rid of Hunter, Brennley and Vanessa, so I’ll add it. It was disappointing that Gwen had 2 potential finalists that season and ended up with 0.

I guess I’ll add Season 15 semis with MaKenzie, Kymberli and Sarah, and we almost lost Kennedy as well.

Season 20 semis with Corey, Dana and Gihanna was also upsetting. Everyone was so excited about the Semis group and once the finalists were announced, the excitement went away

Of course Season 13 had Keisha (who couldn’t even make the save) and Noah (who sabotaged himself in the save)

True, 3 of them have good voting power(2 finalists are a possibility for her) and a strong singer who can win the IS against most potential opponents(that are in danger)

I know its still early, but it seems like Blake may only have 1 finalist in(could still have two but its looking less likely than Kelly)

This is a deadly season for Kelly, she has done well overall, congrats to her and her team.

Looks like she's coming for vengeance from S20, a 4th win is 90% guaranteed for her at this point.(leaving it open for Wendy to potentially cut through, not leaving that out yet)

Considering Kelly hasn’t won since S17 and Blake won twice since then, it’s definitely a possibility

It really has nothing to do with age for me. I just dont like it when they repeat something about a contestant again, and again.. and again. For example, the whole "BrittanyBree has never sung secular music before" thing got annoying quick, because they kept bringing it up all the time.

Yeah, there are other instances that do, but this is one of the most common. If coaches repeat the same statements over and over, they get annoying. I remember everyone getting annoyed with that John Legend song because it played so many times

I like ATE for the battles when one act does a lot better because it describes that one act dominating.

    For individual performances, anything works.

Queen and king are overused in general, but if it comes from a person who typically does not use those terms, then it can be refreshing.

They seem to be overused in the sense that people use it for too many contestants, and not just their top contestants that season. I don’t use those terms often, but I would probably only use them if describing my snowflakes (Maybe 3-4 contestants per season).

Hailey's Blinds was okay, her battle was iffy. And then she stepped into a whole new gear when pitted against the Cunningham Sisters, and hasn't really dropped the ball since.

Ariana turned for 9 out of the top 11 contestants (not Jershika or Lana). Only Jim & Sasha picked her.

    Holly was a steal.

Her decision not to save Bella is iffy, but Bella messed up with her previous 3 performances.

Imo it's not really Ariana's fault 8 out of the 9 contestants she turned for in the top 11 didn't pick her. She had a weak team from auditions onwards. But she hasn't made any grievous mistakes really.

That being said, I doubt she'll be back. She has other stuff to do. Plus her fans haven't enjoyed the show since auditions, when it was clear her team was pretty weak. They'll watch clips and check out her outfits, but her tweets about the show get very low engagement, and most fans I follow stopped watching the show weeks ago.

Bella and Katie's Enough is Enough was the high point, and it's all been downhill since then.

Ariana seemed to have really bad luck this season. None of the 4 chair turns originally picked her, and 3 artists rejected her steal before she got one, but she needed a steal to be her frontrunner. She also had some artists who did well in the prelives that weren’t as good in the Lives, and sometimes you can’t predict who will flop in the Lives. She just hasn’t been popular with many of the contestants that ended up doing well. Her team might have been weak this season, but I can tell that she at least tried to get good people.

It isn't trolling, but Wikipedia apparently has Wendy's birth year wrong. Several times during her live Instagram yesterday, Wendy mentioned turning 57 next Monday. The site lists her birthdate as 11/22/65, but it's evidently 11/22/64.

It says that everywhere on the Internet. And some websites have definitely gotten contestants’ birth year wrong
