Honestly this feels like the least hype premiere day in a long time. Straight up just feels like a normal boring day

I think it's just because we skipped spring season, we all kinda forgot how to act

Just visuals, no singing.

At the point with Constance singing, there were no chairs lit up in the back but she was in the middle of what seemed to be a run or big note so we at least know she didn't get immediate turns.

Right! Now I remember. So it probably doesn’t mean anything that they showed Constance.

Very brief shot of Constance and a second contestant singing in the bottom right corner of the screen during Sunday Night Football.

Not sure if that indicates she’s up this week. I remember it happened last year but don’t remember whose it was.

Please don’t hold your breath waiting for a premiere lineup today. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. It’s been so unpredictable with no set time each season, anywhere from a full day and a half early to a few hours before the show (if we get it at all).

All I’m saying is don’t stress or keep checking repeatedly today for something that, unlike leaked blinds or reveal day, may not happen at all

BUT we’re in the final stretch and tomorrow we’ll officially meet some of your faves!

If y’all do wanna track, check which contestants have viewing parties scheduled for the week. It’s not 100% that they’ll be aired on that specific day but it’s usually a pretty good indicator.

I’m not 100% sure what they did in previous years with the opener’s blind audition editing, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

They've done episodes before where the opener was pretty much just automatic. I remember Jacob Maxwell performing with no introduction/anything until after he sang. They didn't even introduce the coaches. I know for S17 they didn't open with like a super big overview/anything fancy. And I think GNT didn't have an intro package iirc, but they did talk about Ariana beforehand.

I don't think they'd just open the episode without that. Morgan strikes me as opener or middle, but the way it's edited doesn't have me thinking it's the closer.

And as far as I know, Camila doesn't have a hatetrain coming in from minivan already like Ariana did for the donut/America thing that for some reason they just can't let go.

Interesting! I don't think I've seen you make a super bold statement about a contestant/potential winner like this in a while. At least this early on. 

Obviously Morgan's a frontrunner to keep our eyes on. We're in for a fun season!

In terms of producer pushing? Perhaps.

In terms of getting votes? This indicates she’ll go far but she has to actually put in a lot of effort to be the winner still. I don’t personally think this was Alisan/TCO level.

She can sing, that's for sure. It was too rushed though, this song needs to be built up to get the impact.

Great vocals from her, but the only reason I’m a bit on the fence with it is that if you want it to be impactful, it needs to either slow down or build up to something bigger and she did neither. 
 

That’s not a bad thing, and her version still sounded great, but it’s a missed opportunity to make it truly stand out/be memorable among the 50 other versions we’ve had on the show.

Pretty solid from Morgan! You can tell she’s capable of much more.

and thank goodness we got that song out of the way for the season already because it was bound to show up later on

Officially, yes. We've often been able to find it online separately, or at least an article naming the leak, beforehand. That's currently what I'm looking for

Although I don't recall if we were successful with finding Vaughn early last season or not?
