Random thoughts. I’ve seen a few people on here either predict Jack to win the show, or at least make the finale. I feel like we’ve already heard everything he can do, and he seems stuck in the middle of the pack. He’s a bit of a one trick pony….same performance every week with different lyrics. What could he possibly do at this point to vault himself into frontrunner status? I see this from time to time…people wanting Emmy to sing Loretta songs on the show. They’ve heard her sing several times now, and they think this would be a good idea. It’s annoying and dumb. Not only are they nothing alike vocally, but she doesn’t want to be compared to her grandmother. I feel like Triston controls his own destiny. It’s a lot ask of a 15 year old, but if he performs well every week for the rest of the season, he will probably win the show.

That’s just as well.

If Hailey ever has a chance to come back, she’ll need to learn how to pander to the audience. She seems reluctant to do that.

IMO, there is a very short list of contestants who could overtake any of Will, Abi, or Triston, and it seems less likely to happen by the week. McKenna is probably 4th on my power ranking right now.

Another song that wouldn’t have appealed to this audience.

Honestly, I didn’t even know the song, but I’ve been checking out some Drake White after last night. I like. I thought this may have been riskier than a more well known song, but the more I listen, I understand the point of a choice like that. He showed a lot of different artistry in a short amount of time. This is really just a showcase for the music industry for him.

I would add Triston to that list. I used the word, “frontrunner” very loosely. I might even throw Emmy and McKenna in there, but I don’t think have a chance to win. Maybe I should have said “contender”

This probably applies to most people who watch the show. They understand there will be bumps in the road for the vast majority of the contestants, because what they’re doing is hard, but not week after week.

Some just want to see more consistent vocals. Blake is the perfect minivan bait, and we all know what happened there. Even minivan has standards!

Yeah, I wasn’t considering wildcards in that particular post. I think Roman deserves to go through. His biggest problem is his early performance spot.

The “frontrunner” most likely to need the wildcard is KB, IMO. Her comment section on Facebook is a mess. The minivan knives are out. I still think she’ll likely get the votes, but she’s becoming less of a frontrunner every week.

I was even prepared to vote for her, but she didn’t deliver. Stranger things have happened. We’ll see.

She has one of the worst ratios and is low on mentions. Prior to the show, I thought she had a good shot, as you can see if you scroll up. It depended on her performing well. Unfortunately, she butchered an iconic classic country song. She’s toast.

Locks: Will, Triston, Abi, McKenna Probable: KB, Emmy, Kayko, Julia No chance: Kennedy, Jordan, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Ajii The last two spots will be from this group: Jack, Mia, Nya, Jayna, Odell, Roman, Quintavious. I’m leaning Odell and Jack, but it’s tight for these last two spots, so I’m not overly confident in these two picks.

If you want to believe she wouldn’t pick a Tate McRae song, I don’t know what else to tell you. Moving on…

Many may have not even know it was on iTunes until tonight. That was brilliant how they slipped that in there. I can’t believe how much better this show is for the contestants than The Voice.

KB’s comments are very mixed. All of the other “frontrunners” have almost all good comments. Emmy maybe with a sprinkling of negativity here and there, but nothing alarming.

Gone For Good is #38 all genre now. #16 country. Looks like another good run for the next few days at least. Streaming will get a boost too. 549K on Spotify right now.
