Since Brennan + Brennen are the only actual confirmed couple so far this season, I voted for them.

 

I don't think Will and Lauren are dating. But if they were, that would just be adorable.

For now, I'm convinced they're just reeeeeaaaallllly good friends. (And same with the others.)

Regarding the other 2, I think Katie could do fine with TAT. She needs a more truly delicate moment on the show and I think it’s possible with that one. And Cali has a cover of Sittin’ On on her IG and I think it’s be a cool thing for her to do (and safer than flipping something else after last week)

It’s just time after time is so overdone that it doesn’t do anyone my favors, and it’s not technically 100% “delicate of a song choice

Also about sitting on the dock, that song rarely works out in contestants favors who sing it

Hot take: this is the Britney song reality show contestants should be covering, instead of Toxic.

Oh, do they have reason to believe that TPTB actually look at the fan's song picks? I just figured those suggestions go directly into the void.

I think that the song must be suggested but I can be suggested even only once and chosen, I remember JHud and Noah Mac going through a list of suggested songs and scrolling quite a bit

Can you imaging Kelly and Brynn scrolling through thousands of song choices, and deciding “You & I” was a great choice? There are some puzzling choices every season.

 

If it has to be suggesting at least once, they can have an intern put it in there.

I’m sure for fan suggestion week:

1. Not every fan suggestion gets given to them by producers

2. Producers still have the final say about which song goes through

On cali’s playoff video Ellie spilt tea about how the songs are picked during playoffs

I’m assuming the fan picks work similar except the normal list is pre-approved fan picks.

Anyways to change the tone I’ll now explain the rankings Of my contestants that season1 got right

KING/#1 Snowflake

1. Will Breman-Cool style. I still want him to back to his jazzy side eventually like in his audition. I enjoy his performances. Also it’s cool how I relate to him cause I also have Aspergers’ (I have a few other disabilities too)

Queens/ other snowflakes

2. Kat Hammock-I don’t care what IDF says. She’s unique and unlike any other indie girl one any contestant in general. If she was a indie guy idf would be worshipping Kat to no end

3. Rose Short-She’s consistent, and has a voice for days. She might not be the most unique contestant but her ability to change bad song choices/bussing attempts into performances that get even the main demographic +casuals to vote her through proves she’s a force to be reckoned with. I know this is a preference thread but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is where she ends up or higher

4. Katie Kadan-She’s good but unlike most people I enjoyed her previous performances prior to her PO over her PO.

5. Jake Hoot-I enjoy him but his PO performance put him at a halt. He needs to gain steam, maybe with an upbeat song.

6. Joana Martinez-She’s consistent. I’ll give her that. She’s solid too. And enjoyable. Dare I say, She might’ve win if she was on Team Kelly. Anyways while I enjoy her I’m not overly excited about her yet.

7. Myracle Holloway-She’s good and had a phenomenal playoffs performance which Gwen rightly rewarded her for. However we haven’t seen to much of her yet so I’m not Stan omg quite yet.

8. Max Boyle-I was not a fan of him pre-playoffs . But I enjoyed his playoff performance. What I can say is song choice is key for him getting more fans and possibly winning.

9. Hello Sunday-IDF hates on them too much. They’re improving and enjoyable. Not riveting but they’re good enough.

10. Ricky Duran-He’s sort of hit or miss for me. Sometimes he’s good. Sometimes he’s boring.

11. Cali Wilson-I don’t hate her for outlasting Ricky b or Gracee unlike some do,. However she’s just not my style of music.

12. Marybeth Byrd -Honestly, she may be the Noah/Britton if the season for me. She’s ok, not my style though, and underwhelming despite her hype on IDF.

13. Shane Q-Unlike IDF thinks, he’s not a horrible singer. But his severe stage presence issues and lack of emotionality (not the same thing as connection which is subjective), is detrimental to his success. Like someone on YouTube said , poker face isn’t helping him when he sings emotional songs.

“ Wannabe” by Spice Girls-This song can easily be in his wheelhouse if he changes it up

“Perfect” by Ed Sheeran-He needs a slow song to silence his haters

“Uptown Funk It Up” by Bruno Mars-See “Wannabe”

“Invisible” by Hunter Hayes-See “Perfect, plus it’s a song he can likely connect too

“So Am I” by Ava Max. Fits his personality like a glove

I'd rather it all be the same so we all get along.

I’d rather we all learn to respect others tastes and opinions regardless of how different from the norm: then it would be more fun and enjoyable. Just no outrage or put downs just cause someone’s favorite got eliminated (I know sometimes I get outraged but I try not to now)

What does Kat have that all the other indie girls who went far didn’t? She seems like exactly the same singer.

Because there’s nobody else who sounds like her. Genre doesn’t equal tone for the hundredth time.

I get the auto tune complaint but sometimes I just wonder if auto tune is just a fail safe complaint for when snowflakes do poorly in prelives

I don’t get it. Other than the weird scheduling I don’t get why it’s not looking promising

Hopefully it means that there will be no absurd song choices next week

Honestly, just because the singers pick their songs doesn’t eliminate song choice possibilities for these following reasons:

1. They still may only be given a list of songs to choose from

2. Like in other seasons, a contestant may pick a bizarre song that definitely doesn’t have a dedication message but they think it does, or their interpretation what it means does

3. Even if they are not singing a song that’s totally out there, they may decide to pick a song that’s overdone as well as not a good fit for them (I half expect Hello Sunday or Shane Q to sing “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”)
