Change is good sometimes and Jessie J is awesome. But cross-battles is not a good change (at least not until Blake leaves the show)

True, but they’re were hardly back-stories last night, other than a few convenient sentence long hints (which I don’t mind cause hopefully the short comments about Will’s Asperger’s hopefully helps Will get additional support which puts some people at an advantage and others a disadvantage, so they’re call still be shockers. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ricky Braddy and Cali Wilson didn’t mention their sexuality, right? I mean I don’t mind if they did but maybe if they didn’t some bigoted voters who wouldn’t have voted for them had they mentioned it voted for them if they didn’t. Then again if they didn’t maybe LGBT voters might not have voted when they otherwise would’ve if it had been mentioned.

Anyways backstories are a double edged sword and the lack of backstories last night may have helped and hindered some

Jake HaldenVang is more original than Will turning pop songs into rock

I like both and think they’re both original to an extent...but I can’t even count on both hands how many times contestants have turned pop songs into rock in singing shows, while what Will does, is pretty unique.

I actually have to disagree. While she is great, she has plenty of competition...playoffs are usually rough for most contestants every season

Speaking of Katie, here’s my unpop opinion:

She’s one of my favs, but last night was her weakest.

1. Tonight wasn’t bad-sure there were some average/below average performances but there were some good/great performance...it’s like everything has to be a moment to please idf sometimes

2. Max Boyle had one of the better performances of the night-That’s right. It kind of reminds me of how Chloe changed my mins from disliking her pre-PO to liking her somewhere between POS and top 12. Anyways I liked that from him, and I was prepared not to.

3. Cali might’ve not been technically perfect but rewatching the second time sounded better and it’s fun to watch
