Do you really think Katy will say no when it comes down to it? She's absolutely desperate for him to be there so she can look into his dreamy eyes every week.

It's true that we haven't seen a lot of them still. And tbf we only see a clip of the auditions, so who actually knows who which judges' favourites are? It's pretty difficult to tell. I just don't think they'll let him go, even if only to have some sort of 'controversial' contestant in the live shows.

Why did Lionel assume he couldn't handle being disliked by people when he knows... nothing about him? That's literally part of going on American Idol. I really doubt Nick isn't aware of that.

He's not stupid... he could have said it in a much better way. Even Katy didn't go so far but she got her point across well enough.

I think they did it because they always like to have someone 'controversial' who makes the live shows. Hopefully it backfires and Lionel looks like a fool when Nick's voted the winner.

The way he spoke to Nick is irreversible.

JLo was horribly biased, unfair and uninteresting... especially the way she treated Alex Preston and tried to bus him until the last second... Then you've got Lionel who is unbelievably dull and boring... yet he also manages to be nasty as well which is an insane combination. Who do you think is worse? I'll have to see more of this season, but I actually think that Lionel is going to be the worst Idol judge ever.

I just watched back the audition again to see if I missed something and I'm just... lost. It almost seems as if he's been accused of having an 'ego' or 'attitude' because he didn't go to Hollywood last year and Katy brought it up because she's bitter bc she wanted his The way that Lionel spoke to him was disgusting, rude and unnecessary. Lionel: "I don't like you. How do you feel?" Nick: "Hurt" Lionel: "Good" ... Really? Am I the only one who thinks this is extremely out of order?? He did nothing to suggest he thinks he's too good for the show in any way at all. He actually seemed really grateful and happy to be back and to perform again.

Luke will put him through on his own, he doesn't need Katy or Lionel's dumb opinions. Luke knows real talent when he sees it and there's not a chance he'll allow Nick to not make the live shows.

Add me pls, he's my favourite so far! Loved his voice and I didn't get AT ALL where it came from that he's not modest and he's got an ego? What the hell did he even do to suggest that? Just because he quit the show for personal reasons doesn't mean he thinks he's too good for them. I thought he had a cool attitude and I actually got the impression that Katy kinda likes him. Lionel was just plain rude towards him.
