Honestly, Gwen already surprised me by not picking Liam, who I (and many of IDF) viewed as a potential frontrunner for her. So I don´t know what to expect in regards of the possible Van vs Ryan pairing. I do think Ryan is stronger, but she might as well end up picking Van.

I feel she´s definitely gonna pair Ryan against Van in the KOs though, and while I like them both, I don´t see the loser of this matchup being stolen really.

At least she recognized he wasn´t good and didn´t chose him.

Liam was the first person to sing this season on the blinds yet he had the last battle.

Just checked out James Pyle and he´s really good, he´s got a mellow tone but a lot of soul there. He might be a dark horse, considering that he has been very well recieved by the coaches according to the sources.

I mean, there have been times where the sources' opinion vary from IDF's. I remember in the S17 spoilers that a source really enjoyed Shane Q's battle and KO performances, and neither was well recieved here.

It also seems we are getting just three weeks of lives like last season

KOs are filmed on September 21st right?

I see a lot of people discarding Tamara, but honestly the song choice in her battle doesnt really seem to fit her style from what I've heard. Not to mention battles are rarely make or break time, its the KOs that really show who's ready and who's not, so let's wait until then to see what's in store. I do see a possibility of a Tamara vs John H possibility in the KOs. I prefer John H's style, but we still have to see what happens. It could go either way. Remember that the amount of chairs you turned in the blinds is almost irrelevant at this point.

Based on what we've read, I think Chloe vs Lain and Ian vs Aaron are montage candidates

You would think that Blakers would actually like her considering she makes him happy, but apparently that´s not the case.

That Songland track did it for him. Bussing at it´s finest. I would hope that they don´t do any of the 4 way KO members that dirty this season, but someone is for sure getting bussed. We´ll have to wait and see who. And funny enough, you would think that TMH would be treasured by TPTB since he was a rare type of contestant, they had him featured in the premiere of both blinds and battles, and even introduced him with the whole cinematographic shots,etc. It sucks that he was given a pop song in the most important round.

I really hope so as well. On several occasions audience cheer in the middle of a glory note or a great moment, so I would hope that this format might actually help us listen to the contestants in a better way.

Not to mention Minivan hates duos-trios, so they might feel compelled to vote for her in the next round, since she was paired against a trio and lost her battle.

I remember I read than there was a problem with the sound in Van Andrew´s audition or that he messed up. Seems he recovered in the battle given that all the coaches chose him apparently.

I mean, as much as I love Tennessee Whiskey and Sid is one of my favorites, the song has been overdone to death on this show to the point that we can already know what to expect if someone´s performing it.

How was Jim in his battle according to you?

As for Worth the Wait vs Taryn, honestly I think Blake did what´s best in an effort to keep both. There´s no way the public is gonna vote for a trio in any capability (They are definitely gonna need his save in the PO if they make it there), whereas Taryn at least does have a chance of winning the KO.

She´s really good judging from her Instagram covers, and now we know she apparently slayed her battle, not to mention she knows how to make a song her own. She might be a frontunner depending on how well Team Gwen does. P.D. I checked and found out Ryan Berg´s tone is great as well. I still have to see the battle to be convinced that he won fair and square against Liam though.

Kelly didn´t turn for Sid, which hopefully means that he impressed her in the battles in order to use her steal, especially considering how picky she has been this season.

I think it was more of the fact that a 15 year old girl and a grown man were singing a romantic song as a duet, which perhaps made the battle awkward in itself.
