Kinda gonna state the obvious here, but... Aside from promoting judges, and the occasional promo for the contestants themselves? Idol is HORRIBLE at promoting the show! >.< This is the same brand who couldn't maintain fan magazines, trading cards, and other items like shirts in the online store for the Top 10 contestants each season. :| For example THIS.... They screwed that one up SO badly by featuring only a handful of "hits" and completely ignoring other Idol alumni like David Archuleta whose hit song "Crush" is still going strong all these years later. I don't know about you guys, but that's one promo disaster on FOX's side... ABC+Maddie Poppe's debut album= Catastrophe Nothing will top that unless they also forget Laine next year. :ermm:

:ermm: I guess we are all going to forget about what a homophobe Simon (and to a lesser extent Ryan) was and how he checked out completely during season 9, but whatever. Katy Perry being Katy Perry doesn't and never did shock me. Steven Tyler creepily eyeing younger women did... Now I'm not saying Katy hasn't crossed the line like Simon, and Steven did in the past, but she's a much better judge then they were. She proved her potential during her stint in season 9 on FOX... IMO

I have "Ultimate High!" So many good tunes! <3 Ah, it makes me wonder where her music would be now if she went solo again... :teehee:

We Are The Fallen! Indeed. Sigh... I want another solo album from her, but she's a mom now so... It might be awhile before she does music again.

I haven't sat down to watch an episode yet, but I have seen her Kellyoke song covers part of the show and love it!

All of the old graphics, and fan art/projects. Not to mention official photos of Idol alumni that were rare and hard to come by on Google. :'(

It's not like Paula drawing with crayon on Simon's face when they should be judging Allison Iraheta's performance... Yep. Still gonna mention that little moment when people think Katy's lost it temporarily.

You made a lot of good points actually! I think we tend to overrate seasons of Idol where we had a fave last long or even win! Season 8 for example? Take Kris, Allison, and Adam out of the picture. Your season now sucks even harder than it would've with them and Gokey is your winner! :x

Awesome! :flowers: I love his originals from Idol, and some of the newer tunes, the rest need to meld with me more on repeat listens. I love the piano on Cholo Love! Reminds me of background music to a certain scene in Sister Act 2! :o That's good by the way. :lol:

Really? :ermm: Laine made his run on the show look like an easy way to victory. He deserved his win, but Jeremiah would've made a more rounded out winner. Though his fam would not have been fun at the finale... :| Alejandro would've made a good winner too. Someone different you know? I think Madison was the only one who I scratched my head at. Like she has a great voice, and is sweet, but other than that? Nothing impressive. IMO

Kris Allen, Scotty McCreery, Ruben Studdard, and Kelly Clarkson (!!!) all deserved their wins! Now I didn't watch seasons 1-5. You know... The height of Idol's popularity? So grain of salt with Ruben and Kelly, but I like them enough now to say that I would've definitely rooted for them during their AI runs... Kris and Scotty are obvious, and not so obvious... I started out season eight as a fan of many. Then Allison and Kris appeared. Rest was history. lol I am also obviously a big Haley fan... So me saying that Scotty deserved his win is like saying that pigs can fly I guess. Random nitpick, but some fanbases (One's I'm in...) aren't the face of the singer themselves. Adam, Haley, Scotty, whomever. You can't judge a singer by their followers. I think more music fans need to form their own tastes and opinions in that department and not base them on blogs and big time articles opinions... :ph34r:
