Kayla is still here. And most of the cuts this round were long overdue and Chelsie was a bring back. I nominated half big names and half people who no one would cut unless they were up against big names.

Carly Blaney Carly was a contemporary dancer in the show’s eleventh season. She was unceremoniously eliminated at the Top 14 in a double elimination with her partner Serge, along with Teddy and Emily. The double elimination definitely marked a bit of a turning point for that season since most people felt that at least one of the eliminations was unjust. Personally, I was a fan of all four to varying degrees, so I definitely felt slighted by the judges decisions that night. In the showcase, she danced a Stacey Tookey contemporary routine with Rudy Abreu. Rudy was my favourite male going in to the season and I usually like Stacey's choreography, so this was definitely one of my favourite routines of the night. in Week 2, she and Serge danced a Contemporary routine to “Latch” that was, again, one of the standouts of the night. As I said in Serge's write-up, I felt a little like she did most of the dancing and he just stood there but it was still good. In Week 2, they danced a Luther Brown hip-hop to “Senile”. Again, I felt like Carly got more down and dirty with it but I liked it from both of them. In Week 3 they danced another contemporary to Jewel’s “Foolish Games”. Of all of Carly's routines, this was the most forgettable for me. I think because Latch received more praise whereas this was a Mandy Moore routine and led to both of them getting eliminated. The night they got eliminated, they danced a Quickstep and even though it was Serge’s style, I felt like Carly held her own, which is why I was much more upset about her going home. I felt like in the five routines we saw from her, she showed versatility and I would have liked to see her dance with the all stars. But anyway, I'm cutting her because I like Eliana more and think she deserves to last longer as the rightful winner of Season 9 Save: Eliana Girard

Yara Sofia (AS1) To quote Latrice Royale: "We don't talk about All Stars 1 because that was a shoddy situation. It doesn't even count." And what a shoddy situation it was. Yara originally competed in Season 3, placing 4th. She returned as part of the 10 contestants in the show's first All Stars season and after the twist of teams was revealed, paired up with fellow Puerto Rican contestant, Alexis Mateo, to form "Team Yarlexis". I wasn't really a fan of either of them in their original seasons and pairing them together just seemed to make them more obnoxious. The edit also didn't seem to work in their favour, showing them criticizing and making fun of other contestants while not doing particularly well themselves. In Week 1, Yarlexis was Low but Safe after the half baked photoshoot challenge. In Week 2, they won the main challenge after the hot mess than was Gaff-In. Honestly, nobody won that, not even us because we had to sit through it and watch it. Thank god Ru realized to just stick with Snatch Game going forward. In Week 3, they won the Mini Challenge ("Queens with Guy Phones") and somehow managed to be safe over Latrila after the main challenge, despite scoring less points. I'm still not over the debauchery, especially since it resulted in a Rujubee/Latrila Bottom 4 that sent Latrila home. Rigga Morris. The next week, they won the Mini Challenge again (Cheer-Leading Routine) and I was beginning to worry they might actually wind up in the finale, but fortunately they tanked in the girl groups challenge and Raven ate both Alexis and Yara alive in the Lip-sync to "Don'cha" by the Pussycat Dolls. Yara foolishly thought she could switch out and do a better job than Alexis, but that Lipsync was already a wash for them. Needless to say, I wasn't really a fan of Yara in All-Stars, so I'm happy to help get her cut from this rank down, since the rest of you keep making such questionable decisions.

Max Kapitannikov I actually had a harder time deciding who to save than people might think. I do think, all things considered, Max had a very strong run for only being in the competition for two weeks. As we all know, he was a ballroom dancer on the show's fifth season and was partnered with IDF Darling, Kayla Radomski. In Week 1, the pair danced a phenomenal Samba called "Jum Bah Day". Obviously, Max's background helped, but Kayla really held her own in it. They also had the pimp spot that night and ended up being safe the next week. In Week 2, they danced a Brian Friedman Pop-Jazz called "Hot Like Wow". At the time, I didn't love this routine, but going back and watching it, I like it more. I've always like Brian's choreography and Max did a respectable job with it despite not being a lyrical dancer. So why did I cut him and keep Jonathan? A few reasons. I felt that despite Max's two good routines, he and Kayla were never a great match. I felt like she outshone him in both of their routines and he was too old to be her partner. In contrast, I felt like Jonathan and Karla were a good match. I love their routine in Week 2 (Falling Slowly) and I feel like Jonathan is much more active. Plus I still love his routine with Genessey. With all that said, Max is a very respectable ballroom dancer, but he's mostly retired from competitions now but I did I find this video from 2019 in case you want to watch him dance one more time. Cristina Santana Cristina was a ballroom dancer that placed 10th on the show's 7th season. As I've said before, I don't dislike Cristina at all. I liked her routines during the season and definitely thought she should have outlasted Jose, at the very least. For her showcase routine, she danced a Samba trio with Anya and Pasha to Kelly Rowland's "Work". Next to "Paris is Burning" (Lauren and Kent's routine) and "Freak" (Robert, Ashley and AdeChike's routine), it was third favourite of the night. In Week 1, she was paired with All-Star Mark Kanemura and the two of them danced a Sonya Tayeh Jazz routine to Santigold's "Starstruck". I also liked this routine and would probably rank it third or fourth of the routine's we saw that night. Since America didn't vote for women back then, especially minority women, she was in the Bottom 3, but saved over Alexie. In Week 2, she danced a Paso Doble with Pasha at the top of the show. As others have said, this routine was good and deserved more praise, but after she landed in the bottom again, it was clear she was destined to be fodder. It was among my favourite routines that night though, so I had hoped she'd last longer, but the voters rarely turn up for ballroom contestants, so she was sent home. Since Season 7, she has had her braces removed (which took me aback when looking for a picture of her) and continues to teach dance in LA. She's also a health coach and a dance instructor so, good for her. Save: Aaron Turner
