We are doing it BIG with food trucks, bounce houses and more! This event is FREE to DOD ID Holders and MWR Card Holders. (Bring your lawnchairs.) VIP Tables: $300 Includes a table of 8 in a prefered location with sun coverage, heavy appitizers, and private bar. Doors: 5.30pm .. buttons66 Posted May 27 Author Share Posted May 27 (edited) It may very well have something to do with the Base security since both were intended primarily for families /servicemen /women of those bases. They are very strict that attendees were required to have certain ID & membership cards plus drivers licence ID before entry was granted to the base /concert etc. I think thats a normal process for all Military bases. However I would have thought all IDs required would cover both bases but perhaps convenience to families situated on each base and surrounding areas was taken into consideration. But I dont know if these are 2 bases are conncted somehow. No tickets were needed ,only thing they could pay for was to reserve a tables for groups.M&Gs were by a lottery . But I saw zero promo for the Corpus Christi concert and would not have known about it if not for seeing a fan post about it on FB .Kingsville Concert was far more prolific in giving out Information about their event. ======================================================================= FYI . .On further investigation this was show was indeed given same promotion as the Kingsville show ..Corpus Christi just didnt show up under a search on FB for some reason !! It was held close to a sea wall location with same info and requirements as Kingsville for all attendees . Lecade was also opening act. Naval Air Station Corpus Christi #AreYouReady? Preparations are well underway for the Operation MWR concert featuring Scotty McCreery with special guest LECADE, Saturday, May 25. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with the concert scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Both North and South Gates will be open for traffic during the event. Concert location is on the NAS Corpus Christi seawall located by Sunfish Beach. This #FREE concert is open to patrons with base access and escorted guests (only Military/DoD allowed to bring guests), and MWR Guest Card Members.
