  3. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CGkzn_4nrdT/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Skai posted a rehearsal of her Cha Cha and what it looked like without the mistakes. That would've easily been an 8 or 9 dance.

  5. ~My Dancing with the Stars 29 Week 6 Review~ Preface- Not a 10 flew by tonight, as we saw an array of 9’s and another sort of surprising bottom 2. 1. Johnny/Britt (Salsa) 22/30: I wasn’t shocked that Johnny struggled a bit this week. Last week was essentially ice skating without skates. Ice skaters often struggle with the rhythmic Latin dances like Salsa or Samba. Not to mention to outfits did nothing to help and maybe was a turn off to the audience. He needed to be more grounded. My score: 21/30 2. Nev/Jenna (Jazz) 26/30: It was a case of the choreography and song not matching, but even then I found it a bit Jazz by numbers and slightly boring in retrospect of the rest of the night. My score: 24/30 3. Monica/Val (Rumba) 27/30: I know some people are saying they are overscoring Monica to keep her around, but what would that goal be? There are other great females, she’s not a loud personality or a big buzzy name. To be honest, she danced this Rumba very well and deserved the score, IMO. A lot of great hip action and light and shade within the routine. My score: 27/30 4. Skai/Alan (Cha Cha) 18/30: This was a shame because she started so well and had the recipe to a great dance and to redeem her last Latin dance. Once she made the stumble, it was a little hard for her to catch up, but once she did there were moments of great sharpness that the Cha Cha needs. I almost wish she could do it again. My score: 20/30 5. Vernon/Peta (Cha Cha) 21/30: Are football players beginning to lose their luster? The last two (Vernon and DeMarcus) only made the halfway point and even mediocre ones used to be able to make the quarterfinals at the least. But Vernon was an average dancer at best, so it’s the right call. My score: 21/30 6. Nelly/Daniella (Viennese Waltz) 24/30: I so understand his appeal; it’s refreshing to see him tackle this and the way he’s doing it and really embracing it. However there still were frame issues and footwork issues that are getting glossed over because of it. My score: 23/30 7. Jeannie/Brandon (Rumba) 25/30: Jeannie, for me, is the sleeper this season. I can easily see her getting further because she’s fun to watch and relatable and a good dancer as well that keeps getting better and more confident. Some of the parts of this dance were stunning, she just needs to sustain it throughout the whole dance, but nice job. My score: 25/30 8. AJ/Cheryl (Samba) 27/30: It was easily his best dance and his most memorable one at that. However, some of it still felt a little stiff in parts, but good on him for finally doing something memorable, cause up till now, she was middle ground. My score: 26/30 9. Chrishell/Gleb (Contemporary) 24/30: I’m glad Gleb gave her something to really be proud of and she nailed this honestly, I get what they meant about pointing the toes in lifts, but honestly it didn’t matter as much to me in this. She was pouring herself into this and just living each step and so connected to it. Slightly underscored I found. My score: 26/30 10. Kaitlyn/Artem (Samba) 27/30: It was well danced, given the lackluster song for a Samba. It’s just not fast or dynamic enough to really elicit a great Samba. She had some great hip action and did all the Samba content well. I do understand what Carrie Ann and Derek meant. In a Latin dance, I want to see her be sharpness in her head movements or hitting a line to give it that extra something special, but overall, she’s a fantastic dancer and I’d be shocked if she didn’t make the finals. My score: 27/30 11. Justina/Sasha (Viennese Waltz) 27/30: Justina is consistent and she’s shockingly lyrical for something without a bunch of training. The dress was a bit ehh cause I think a smaller bottom part of the dress would’ve just flowed more, but having said that, she’s a great dancer, and someone else I’m sure we will be seeing far into the competition. My score: 27/30
  6. The men are starting to drop like flies this season. 6 women vs. 4 men now. Not surprised honestly, the women are stronger this season overall.
  7. That was a strange routine for me. Like danced well, but something felt off to me.
  8. Week 6 Questions (Open-ended answers, 2 points each): - Who will open the episode? Vernon - Who will close the episode? Skai - Who will be at the top of the overall leaderboard? 9. Safe to say no one got the eliminated couple right! lol
  10. Justina Machado & Sasha Farber - “Maniac” (Jazz): 8 Jesse Metcalfe & Sharna Burgess - “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” (Tango): 6 Chrishell Stause & Gleb Savchenko - “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” (Cha-Cha): 6 Jeannie Mai & Brandon Armstrong - “Like a Virgin” (Jazz): 8 Monica Aldama & Val Chmerkovskiy - “Tainted Love” (Tango): 8 AJ McLean & Cheryl Burke - “Open Arms” (Waltz): 8 Skai Jackson & Alan Bersten - “The Power of Love” (Jazz): 8 Vernon Davis & Peta Murgatroyd - “Livin’ On a Prayer” (Tango): 6 Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem Chigvintsev - “I Think We’re Alone Now” (Tango): 9 Nelly & Daniella Karagach - “Rhythm of The Night” (Samba): 7 Johnny Weir & Britt Stewart - “Total Eclipse of the Heart” (Contemporary): 9 Nev Schulman & Jenna Johnson - “Take On Me” (Quickstep): 8
  11. +~My Dancing with the Stars 29 Week 5 Review~ Preface- The night of a thousand Tango and Jazz. We saw a score 1 point shy of perfection, and a star go home who never had a breakthrough. 1. Justina/Sasha (Jazz) 24/30: This was just so 80’s, but she kept up very well and her and Sasha were very in sync. I loved all the nods to the movie, and also had some proper Jazz content in there. My score: 24/30 2. Jesse/Sharna (Tango) 19/30: It’s a shame he left, but I can’t disagree with it. I think we all assumed he’d be better than he was and especially with Sharna. He just never got into the feel of the dances. My score: 18/30 3. Chrishell/Gleb (Cha Cha) 19/30: Well she finally did a faster Latin dance and it was alright. It needed more content, but that’s very on brand with Gleb. She needs stronger lines and better hip action, but she was having fun, and had some nice moments within it. My score: 19/30 4. Jeannie/Brandon (Jazz) 24/30: I agree with Carrie Ann that there’s just something fun about Jeannie’s dancing and she’s actually quite good too and fearless with what Brandon gives her. It was a cute Jazz number, but I’m more excited to see her do something back to Latin and Ballroom again. My score: 24/30 5. Monica/Val (Tango) 26/30: I do agree that her frame needs to be more carefree and extended and less clingy, but overall, she had very strong moments within the dance. My score: 25/30 6. AJ/Cheryl (Waltz) 24/30: AJ is doing well, but honestly, I thought he’d be more of a standout than he’s currently been. Like, he’s a good dancer and Cheryl is a seasoned, popular pro, but he’s just not popping like some of the others are. My score: 23/30 7. Skai/Alan (Jazz) 24/30: This was a good song to do a Jazz to and Alan really just went for the lifts and it worked too. She just needs to work on the transitions out of lifts to be smoother and to just bring the personality to the entire dance, but overall, a great vibrant dance for her. My score: 24/30 8. Vernon/Peta (Tango) 21/30: He is better in the more lyrical dances, and he’s already done most of them, save for maybe Viennese Waltz and Contemporary, I’m a little surprised a football player hit the bottom this early, but he’s just an average dancer. My score: 20/30 9. Kaitlyn/Artem (Tango) 27/30: I’m glad she was able to show a goofy, fun side to herself, but still nail the part of the Tango and the sharpness. It was a different take on a Tango, but I suspect she can do a more proper Tango later with the Argentine. Len would’ve given this dance a 6, but overall she showed a different side and it was great to see. My score: 27/30 10. Nelly/Daniella (Samba) 24/30: I expected this to be a disaster honestly, but while he needs more refinement in areas, he did a solid job in it all and smiled and had a good time. My score: 22/30 11. Johnny/Britt (Contemporary) 29/30: I think we all expected this to go well, and it did, but I wanted it to be less pretty and more intense and grounded, given the song. It made it mismatch a little for me. Some of it felt a little placed, but overall he was strong tonight, and danced well. My score: 28/30 12. Nev/Jenna (Quickstep) 26/30: It was a good dance, a lot of gapping in their hold though, and some of it was very hoppy, but I’m glad he scratched the surface on his prior experience. My score: 25/30
  12. An all guy B2 this early? Interesting. Chrishell surely does have fans out there. But surely her days are numbered unless she kills it next week. I didn't care for either B2, but Vernon has better moments in his dancing than Jesse did, who just was very mediocre.
  13. Chrishell/Jesse B2 with either going? I think they might keep Chrishell in that scenario, she's shown stronger dancing overall.
  14. I would've wanted to see it be a bit edgier or grounded, it was too..."pretty". It wasn't bad, let's be honest, Contemporary is ice skating on the ballroom, but I wanted more groundedness.
  15. Calling it now, if Monica is safe, she's the first one called safe.
  16. Jesse might be the hot guy, but a B2 appearance wouldn't shock me. He's been very underwhelming and currently a tie for the B2. What fanbase would he even have?
  17. This is gonna be a tough call for B2. Maybe Jesse or Chrishell or Nelly? IDK.
  18. They really be keeping all the women mostly in the beginning. I always hate that. While people like Vernon and Johnny stay at the end a lot. They need to start changing up the order more. It always people like Justina, Monica, and Chrishell in the beginning and most of the guys at the end. I'm also not really looking forward to tonight cause most of my favorites have Jazz aka "do whatever you want with little actual dance content"
  19. Week 5 Questions (Open-ended answers, 2 points each): - Who will open the episode? Jesse - Who will close the episode? Johnny - Who will be at the top of the overall leaderboard? 20. too much Jazz and Tango. Not excited about this theme. Last time they did this in season 13 it was a disaster.
  21. Nelly & Daniella Karagach - “All I Do is Win” (Paso Doble): 6 Chrishell Stause & Gleb Savchenko - “Adore You” (Foxtrot): 7 Monica Aldama & Val Chmerkovskiy - “Party In The USA” (Samba): 8 Anne Heche & Keo Motsepe - “Rise” (Paso Doble): 7 Nev Schulman & Jenna Johnson - “Because You Loved Me” (Rumba): 8 Justina Machado & Sasha Farber - “Que Viva La Vida” (Salsa): 8 Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem Chigvintsev - “Beautiful Crazy” (Viennese Waltz): 9 Johnny Weir & Britt Stewart - “Crocodile Rock” (Jive): 7 Jeannie Mai & Brandon Armstrong - “Seven Nation Army” (Tango): 8 Vernon Davis & Peta Murgatroyd - “Let’s Stay Together” (Rumba): 7 Jesse Metcalfe & Sharna Burgess - “Smooth” (Cha-Cha): 6 Skai Jackson & Alan Bersten - “Ordinary People” (Foxtrot): 9 AJ McLean & Cheryl Burke - “Larger Than Life” (Cha-Cha): 7
  22. +~My Dancing with the Stars 29 Week 4 Review~ Preface- We saw our first 9’s and then our first 10 and an elimination unlike any other. 1. Nelly/Daniella (Paso Doble) 21/30: Nelly will probably be the next male celeb out. He just doesn’t seem to get into the proper Latin or Ballroom feel. He just kind of bops around and is stiff. My score: 19/30 2. Chrishell/Gleb (Foxtrot) 22/30: I want to see a fast Latin from her. It’s been all Ballroom and Rumba so far. But she danced this fairly well, a few stumbles here and there, but overall good and she’s always avoided the bottom 2 so far. My score: 21/30 3. Monica/Val (Samba) 24/30: Monica proved tonight she can handle a Latin dance. She danced it well, but I think her B2 appearance could be that she danced early and she doesn’t have a huge personality. My score: 23/30 4. Anne/Keo (Paso Doble) 21/30: Poor Anne, she did better than most expected, but unfortunately she wasn’t improving as much as some others did, but kudos to her for doing the show and embracing it. My score: 20/30 5. Nev/Jenna (Rumba) 24/30: He’s one of the better dancers this season, but I found this dance a little boring. Danced well and good fluidity, but not very memorable. My score: 23/30 6. Justina/Sasha (Salsa) 24/30: I was very excited to see a Salsa do a proper song, and Justina did so well. She’s so fierce and bubbly, and had great hip action. This is the Justina she needs to bring every week. My score: 24/30 7. Kaitlyn/Artem (Viennese Waltz) 25/30: Like the judges said, I’m anxious to see her doing something less lyrical and more upbeat, but no doubting how gorgeous this dance was. She’s such an excellent dancer. My score: 26/30 12. Johnny/Britt (Jive) 24/30: I think this was a little overscored for me. I noticed some spots they weren’t always in sync and sometimes it seemed a little wild. But he’s not personally making the impact I thought he would as a figure skater. My score: 22/30 9. Jeannie/Brandon (Tango) 21/30: Jeannie is surprising me with how good she’s getting. I loved the intensity and she had great posture and leg action and nice bent knees. Ok, there was a little fumble of unsteadiness at the end, but that score? Come on, that was BS! My score: 23/30 10. Vernon/Peta (Rumba) 22/30: Good for him on the figure 8 motion, it was really the only good part of the dance. He’s still too stiff and needs to work on his arms. Carrie Ann once again judging with her lady parts. My score: 20/30 11. Jesse/Sharna (Cha Cha) 21/30: He’s not exciting me at all yet. I expected him to be better, but he’s too in his head and he’s not performing well enough. My score: 20/30 12. Skai/Alan (Foxtrot) 28/30: Skai really needed this tonight. She was poised and refined and danced it effortlessly. I too loved how she got a 10, but I think it was slightly premature, all 9’s were more like it. I just want her to nail a Latin dance. My score: 27/30 13. AJ/Cheryl (Cha Cha) 24/30: This would’ve been a great freestyle. It had one small section of Cha Cha in the middle and that was it really, and what he did was a little bit rough as well. My score: 22/30
