On page 48 of this thread, I listed a few men named Anthony with whom Reba has a connection. But according to the NBC Insider article linked by Dany on page 162, TPTB evidently encouraged the coaches to choose a mentor from a different genre than their own.

Anthony Kiedis (lead vocalist of Red Hot Chili Peppers) is rock/rap, so it's possible that he could be Reba's mentor.

Anthony Gourdine (Little Anthony) of The Imperials is R&B/soul, Anthony Hamilton is also R&B/soul, Anthony Cruz (AZ) is a rapper, and Anthony B is a Jamaican DJ whose genre is reggae.

IDF sometimes forgets how important likability and humility are on these shows. Triston comes across as likable, humble, and grateful. He also has the advantages of backstory and being a teenager to go along with his talent.

Conversely, Kennedy's vocal and edit weren't amazing last night.

Kennedy is 19th on TVLine's poll for which of the 20 singers belong in the Top 14, while Triston is third. She's first on the MJsBigBlog poll for who is going home, and she's last on the favorite performance poll.

I personally prefer McKenna over both Abi and Kaibrienne, but the voters might not agree with me on that.

On TVLine's poll, the top ten are currently Will (7.29%), Abi (7.26%), Triston (7.19%), McKenna (6.97%), Kayko (6.84%), Jack (6.18%), Emmy (5.93%), Mia (5.77%), Odell (5.63%), and Ajii (5%).

"Gone for Good" is currently #9 on the iTunes Top 100 Country Songs chart, and it's #21 on the all genre chart.
