  1. I only asked because someone said the other day said something along the lines that Idol Maniac would still be able to get the American Idol spoilers easily because he has connections. I said to that person I don't think it's possible for that to happen with the COVID pandemic. They still insist though that Idol Maniac would be able to do it with no problem at all.
  2. The usual number? Doesn't it vary each season as in some seasons they have more that make it to Hollywood because the talent was better than other seasons? I mean how do you handle being responsible for more than 100 contestants during a pandemic and their whereabouts? As far as making sure they have their masks on when out in public, not getting too close to people that aren't part of the competition (staying 6 feet apart), no physical contact, social distancing, etc. Also, are the contestants going to be required to wear a mask when in the theater?
  3. Wait how many contestants are going to be on American Idol this season? I thought they are limiting it to 100 in Hollywood because of COVID?
  4. Everything else they tried on American Idol or other singing shows that they tried instead of American Idol?
  5. Why is American Idol still on T.V. then and hasn't been canceled if the ratings "stink"?
  6. You wouldn't happen to have any Hollywood Week spoilers for the American Idol Season 19 Spoilers - Presented By The Idol Pad thread, which is separate from this thread would you?
  7. They also said that Kelly Clarkson should be a part of the show American Idol. I think they probably mean that she should be the fourth American Idol judge. So it would be Ryan Seacrest as the host and Paula Abdul, Kelly Clarkson, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson as the judges. Bobby Bones would still probably be the American Idol mentor for the contestants. I don't know how Kelly Clarkson would be able to be a judge on American Idol, be a coach on The Voice, and be a talk show host on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
  8. Also, what do you mean by the erosion of network TV ratings?
  9. Oh okay. I see. i just meant if that's the case, then why is Gabby Barrett the only one from the ABC version of American Idol who is being recognized and making a name for herself. Is it possible that if more of the contestants from the ABC version of American Idol started out on Tik Tok, then they would be instantly recognized too?
  10. Also, I’m not disagreeing but what is so different about the music industry back then and how it is now?
  11. Oh okay. I figured you were referring to Ryan Seacrest.
  12. So the judges now don’t insult contestants like Simon Cowell used to do? Simon Cowell has grown and doesn’t insult people on America’s Got Talent. So I don’t know if one can really say that he would go back to his old ways if he were to judge American Idol again. I do get overall what you’re saying though and I respect your opinion. I mean who are we to say that Simon Cowell can't be a good judge on American Idol if he doesn't insult or shame contestants for the way they sing.
  13. the original three or the current three? Oh I'm realizing that you're referring to the original three because you used the term nostalgic. Yeah I get what you're saying. I just found it interesting that after all these years, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson would want to be judges on American Idol again.
  14. Yeah I can't imagine him objecting either. I'm sorry, but I realize I'm not explaining that well. I'm saying he would need to get out of his commitment of having Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie as judges on American Idol.
  15. Recently on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she had guests Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul. Kelly Clarkson asked them if they would ever consider being judges on American Idol again. Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson both said they would be open to being judges on American Idol again if Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest were also on board with the idea as well. So Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson want in. Now we would just need Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest to say yes and then we can go back to making super stars again. Their answer to Kelly Clarkson's question starts at the 3:12 mark of the video.
  16. Yes you're right. They only need Simon Cowell and then we can go back to making super stars again. I meant Ryan Seacrest being on board with doing American Idol with the original three judges (Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell).
  17. So Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul are on board to being judges on American Idol again. Now they just need Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest on board and then we can start making super stars again.
  18. LA Dodgers baseball legend Don Sutton has just died. He was a such a great player. R.I.P.

  20. Okay I'm glad to know who the contestants are this season, but it still unfortunately doesn't answer who made it to Hollywood, who made the Top 40/48, and who made the Top 20/24. I guess we are not going to know that information before everyone else who watches the show on February 14th because the Coroanvirus Pandemic is making it hard for people to watch from the audience and reveal information like that.
  21. This may be the first season where we don't get Hollywood Week spoilers or even Top 40/48 or Top 20/24 spoilers. It's like I said before. It's going to be hard to get this information when there isn't really anyone in the audience because of COVID watching the Hollywood Week rounds before it airs on T.V. When American Idol first started, especially American Idol Season 1, they didn't have spoilers like that. We would have to watch like everyone and we would all learn at the same time who made it and who didn't.
  22. They don't have one because it's all guesses and nothing has been confirmed. I already tried asking about Hollywood Week spoilers. We normally have that information by now, but I guess we don't because of COVID making that more difficult.
