Just now, Elliott said:
If it's anything like S15-S17, it'll be two weeks long with 12 solos on Sunday's episode and 12 duets on Monday's episode, with 8 from each group advancing to the Top 16.
On the twitter page Idol Maniac posted that Top 24 will be occuring 4/4 and 4/5 with Top 16 being the week later, which means Top 24 will be done in one week. I thought the same as you too originally.

How are they going to do Top 24 Solos AND duets in the same week??? Im worried that performances are only going to be like 60 seconds long-
-
This now leaves open an extra week of performances. My new format prediction is:
24 - 16 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 5 or 4 - 3
-
Wow are they really doing performances on back to back nights? Thats a shocker.

She reminds me of Laci and Maddie

Definitely a little too jazzy and theatrical for Idol but a great voice.

The easiest way to get a platform in 2021 is TikTok. Idol needs to use their TikTok account more often and put ads on there as well, and they also need to encourage the contestants to post singing videos and performances on their TikToks. This could help them create bigger stars AND get ratings up.

This is definitely a season for the girls. Hopefully its not like last season where the girls dominated pre-lives but most were eliminated at the Top 20 because of the horrible format.

If I was an artist looking to improve myself as a singer and find my artist identity, I would go to The Voice because that's what the COACHES are for after all.
If I was an artist looking for a more competitive, cutthroat, and realistic atmosphere that represents the music industry a bit more accurately to help me gain success, I would go to Idol.
Both shows have their benefits for artists, just depends on where they are in their career or where they want to go with it. Another thing to take note of is that The Voice allows both younger and older contestants outside the age range of Idol allows. I think that kind of says that they aren't really looking for a modern day star and just want to help the artists develop, with the career as an after thought. If they were looking for a modern day pop star, they wouldn't be having anybody over the age of 30 on that show.

Exactly. Morgan competed on The Voice 6 years ago and hes only having the mass success he has now which basically proves The Voice didnt impact his fame whatsoever. If The Voice did impact his fame, he wouldve been peaking 1-3 years after his stunt on the show.

Is there a time where a The Voice contestant who has actually made the finals has had a Top 3 hit on the billboard hot 100? Just curious because someone on Idol who competed in 2018 and made the finals literally had that this year.
