My hot take is Jennifer is iconic during her HOH week but utterly boring the rest of the time. Couldn't justify a higher ranking from me with the bottom group. Busto will rightfully be at the top of my ranking.

All will be revealed in three weeks time But overall, not bad. I've seen 15 of the 20 movies so this is with 5 unseen. Could do with some, could do without others.

Monsters, Inc. Luckily the cut movie is one I've actually seen so I can write about. Monsters, Inc. is probably one of the most comedic Disney/Pixar movies of the bunch. With all-star performances led by the legendary John Goodman and Billy Crystal, Monsters, Inc. is a movie that is laugh out loud funny for both kids and adults. The basic plot takes place in a "monster factory" where monsters are forced to reach a quota of scaring kids. One kid accidentally escapes their bedroom and ends up in the factory. Throughout the movie, the monsters learn to love the kids and vice versa. They learn scaring kids shouldn't be the way. It's an important lesson blah blah blah. Three things elevate the movie for me. First of all, the secret villain twist. Secret villain twists are a dime a dozen in Disney/Pixar movies nowadays. However, this is one of the few times I feel like it was done well. I was actually tricked by the villain! Second, Roz. Queen Roz! I spent so much time protecting her in the Disney Characters Rankdown just because I think she's hilar. Such a "take no prisoners" HBIC. The voice! The mannerisms! The fact that she was a secret mastermind the whole time! Everything works! The Monsters, Inc. sequel should have been about Roz! Finally, the emotional goodbye between Sulley and Boo. Disney/Pixar are certainly known for tugging at the viewers heartstrings and this is no exception. I'm a bit surprised to see Monsters, Inc. as the last Pixar film standing. I don't think it's the best of the decade. But it's still a very good and I'm glad to see it succeed in this game (also fine with it not making top 20).
