  1. Falling Skies
    IPB Image
Falling Skies is a post-apocalyptic science fiction show, produced by Steve Spielberg, that aired for five seasons between 2011 and 2015 on TNT. Interesting, because when I Google the show, it comes up as two seasons on the sidebar. I keep being lied to. :bye2: Anyway, the story follows a former history professor named Tom Mason, whose wife is killed in an alien attack, and one of his sons is one of a group of teens taken captive. Wow, that is all horrible and scary. He joins forces with the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment to find his son and protect survivors of the attack. He is second-in-command and uses his knowledge of history to gain information about the aliens and plan an attack against them. Of course, it is not all so easy or there would be no show. I don't think I see any names I recognize among the cast, but the show seemed to receive positive reviews for at least the first few seasons. It doesn't really seem like my type of show, but I hope there aren't too big of fans here. :flowers:

    Ooh.

  4. 93. That's cool this is one of your favorites on the album too! I believe I have at least 10 songs from the album included on this countdown. :ph34rwave:

I have no issue with that. :teeheewave:

    92. What Do I Know? - Oh, I never heard of him or this song before, but I really like this on first listen! It sounds really good and I like his voice. It would have been nice to hear Trent sing this, but it's cool he wrote on it. I really like the swell of the chorus and the bridge, especially. I would listen to this again. ^_^

    91. Rescue Me - I really like this song as well! I miss hearing OneRepublic's music often on the radio, but I try to keep up with it when I can. Your lists usually catch me up. :haha: But agree with your thoughts here!

    90. Nice To Meet Ya - I really like this Niall song too. The edgier sound and production is similar enough to Slow Hands for me that it doesn't shock me like it seems to other people. I agree on the arrangement and catchiness of it all. :bobo:

    89. Spirit - This is really good and I like the gospel feel of the sound too. Of course Beyonce sounds amazing on it. I agree the uplifting feel of it is suitable for Disney. And I love The Lion King.

  5. - Ah really? Aww bummer, that they won’t reveal anything about that. Yayy you’re welcome! :te ehee:

    - You would think so but sometimes the follow-up film can be really bad in comparison. Ooooh thanks for those other names. OK I know of them/their name but not really familiar with them.

    - OK good. :b ye2: LMAO OMGGGG…. : dead: I meant, well nevermind haha. Ooh awww ok i am glad you loved that quote and your shout-outs. Keep on loving them. : D

Happy New Year to you!

    - Omggg awww you weren’t expecting Kelsea’s MMM to be on here? #BLESS for a great surprise for you then. Yeah I am positive that was where I first heard this song and then didn’t again for another 9-10 months or so but at least I remember the first time.

    - Yes so glad you get my point on the song title. I still mess it up here and there. :haha:

    - Ooh ah I seee but yes I was surprise. Hmmm it felt more rock/edgier than his other songs but hey I’ve grown adjusted to it so i don’t mind.

    - Ahh yess you did and you were spot on with guessing CYM here! :w00t: Omggg it seems like my kind of song? How so? :haha:

    - And ooooo these comments were better than I was expecting. I thought you would have flat out not like it but yay for the positive comments here. :D I understand all of what you’re saying though. lol closing this out with “interesting.” :giggle:

YAYY more guesses here! :w00t: You’ll seee what you got right….. soon.

    - They may have, I just haven't caught it.

    - Okay... but you loved the first, so I would think you'd watch the second. I didn't say you'd love the second. You shouldddd beeee.

    - Yes, I'm filing a report on that unauthorized body. :bleh:

    - No, I'm not sure why I would. You only heard it again at the awards show? I'd think you'd want to hear a song more to include it on the list, but of course I'm glad it's here.

    - I don't think I mess up song titles after knowing them though. :detective:

    - Well, I think Slow Hands has that kind of vibe too.

    - Yayy. Yeah, well I don't know, but you like a lot of songs with Bebe featured on them or collaborations like this.

    - Oh? I was trying to be nice. I don't, but I just said she delivers it well. She is a good rapper, but I don't always like what she says.

  6. 146. Billie Eilish - wish you were gay

    yaJx0Gj_LCY

I know there was some controversy regarding this song, although Billie did not intend to have any malice behind the meaning. I didn't know what to expect when I first heard of it, but basically it is about a situation where Billie was really into a guy who didn't feel the same way, so she wished that, and I quote, "he was gay so that he didn't like her for an actual reason, instead of the fact that he didn't like her." It's interesting and I like the sound of the song. It starts out soo quiet and interesting, but I like the way all her lyrics count down from six to one. But aww "I'll never let you go, five words you'll never say" :bye2: She counts more in the second verse, by the way. But the chorus is my favorite and I love the build of it. I also love how the first and second choruses connect with different lyrics, like the first time she says "I just wanna make you feel okay", but in the next chorus the line is "How am I supposed to make you feel okay?" The last part of the chorus is my favorite though, where she says, "I can't tell you how much I wish I didn't wanna stay, I just kinda wish you were gay" The punch feeling on that last line is so good. I love how she sings that and yeah, she explains more of the meaning in the bridge. "To give your lack of interest an explanation, don't say I'm not your type. Just say that I'm not your preferred sexual orientation" The dynamics of her vocals are so interesting throughout and really drive the song.

    145. Luke Combs - Beer Never Broke My Heart

    7Lb9dq-JZFI

I like quite a few songs from Luke Combs, although I can't really name what they are off the top of my head. I do hear him often on the radio though and really like most of what I've heard. This is a kind of fun~ song, in the way that he sings about beer being the only thing that won't cause pain. I don't drink, so I don't really have much to say about that, but I guess it's kind of cheeky, if that's the right word. It is true that a lot of things in life can hurt though. :( I think this lyric is really good: "It takes one hand to count the things I can count on" Sad though. The song picks up so much in the chorus and that's definitely the shining moment. LONG. NECK. ICE COLD BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART. :omg: Wow. I love the way he belts that and the entire chorus. It has a rockin' kind of groove to it. :bobo: The guitar solo is cool.

    144. Bruno Mars & Cardi B - Please Me

    XxvH3Gj3hO8

Now we all know about Bruno and Cardi's huge hit "Finesse" from last year and how it was #1 on Wally's list. They didn't waste any time putting out a follow-up collaboration. This one didn't seem to take off nearly as well, which is a shame... it doesn't match "Finesse", but it's still good and I enjoy it a lot. :bobo: It deserves better, I say. I actually expected this to rank quite a bit higher on my list, but I love a lot of songs, and also I guess it didn't have as much longevity for me. But it's a kind of sensual, sexy song about... well yeah. The title says enough. But why is it when I Google this song, one of the top search results is this question "What is going on with Cardi B and Bruno Mars?" :lmao: What do they mean? Anyway, I feel like I haven't heard this song in so long now and am ready to groove to it. OMG and I'm realizing I never saw

and omg did they really just meet and are saying those things to each other? Wow. I like how it starts off with the chorus though and Bruno's vocals on this are my favorite, although I do like the contrast between him and Cardi B. I love the way Bruno sings "Please me" all those times and yeah his vocal delivery is really good on this. OMG I just read through Cardi's lyrics and am... wow. I had no idea some of those things she was saying. :| I have to post a clean version now, so sorry to the music video, but you're out! (!) Bruno's vocals really do sound like they are begging on all those PLEASE parts. :haha: Oh my. But his voice sounds so good. "Girl, I ain't one for beggin', but now you got me beggin'" :omg: That part and "Girl, let me put this lovin' on you" are some standout parts for sure. His voice is just so darn good and even if you don't like the song, his vocals shine through. I love how he sings that "Turn around" part at 3:38 too. Bruno can sing for days.

    143. Andy Grammer - Don't Give Up on Me

    ouEezpuPc3A

I want to say I first heard this song in a trailer for the movie Five Feet Apart, which I still want to see, and is featured in this music video here too. It stars Cole Sprouse, who I know from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Suite Life on Deck, and Riverdale, and Haley Lu Richardson, who is engaged to Brett Dier, who I know from Jane the Virgin and Schooled. :giggle: Just wanted to name drop a bunch of shows there. Anyway, I really like Andy and really like this song. It's vey uplifting and encouraging, or at least would be if someone sang or dedicated it to you. :bye2: I love the way it starts. "I will fight, I will fight for you. I always do until my heart is black and blue" The build-up of the pre-chorus is really nice too, and I especially love those "I'll wait for you" parts. But the chorus has a such a beautiful sound and meaning to it. "'Cause I'm not givin' up, I'm not givin' up, givin' up, No, not yet, Even when I'm down to my last breath"

    142. New Kids on the Block - Boys in the Band (Band Anthem)

    EvOPoQrtFGI

Yesss New Kids on the Block released a 30th Anniversary Edition of their Hangin' Tough album this year and we got this new song and music video from it. This is a fun little ditty where they pay tribute to the fans, their boy band career, and make mention of other popular boy bands too (Lance Bass has a cameo!) There is also a feature of Debbie Gibson, which is... interesting. More on that later, but lol the video is funny with the guys all dressed as older versions of themselves. They're not THAT OLD. But they dress up as other boy bands and it's really just a big celebration of boy bands, which I am HERE for. The song is really catchy too. "And we're only getting started, babyy" :bobo: Yess that's right. "The boys in the band, we do it for the fans" :bobo: I love it and it's so sweet. But I also really love that "And if it isn't love" part and ooh they throw out some references to other boy bands in that verse too, but there will be more later on. OMG Debbie Gibson on this though. Her part annoys me so much, oops. But omg check out that verse where they drop of the names of SO MANY BOY BANDS. I feel like I have to quote the entire thing so you can see, but just listen to it. I'll quote some of my favorite parts of it, like "Before we go Boyz II Men, To the End Of (The Road). Let's go back to the beginning, pay respect — New Edition, then came BBD, BSB, B2K, 1D, 98 Degrees" :omg: "To H-Town to O-Town, came the sound Berry Gordy found all the way back in Motown" :bobo: "Peace — LFO, Menudo, JLS, BTS, Westlife, Jackson 5, N'Sync, Take That, I Want You Back!" That was actually most of it, but oh well. But then that part I love again with different lyrics. "And if it is enough why does every generation have another one? And why do all directions only lead to one?" lol so interesting because there are always more big boy bands... and lol the 1D pun in that last lyric too. :giggle: This is so catchy, fun, and fans of boy bands should love it. I know I do. The video is full of too much greatness to explain, even though I tried, but you must watch.

    141. Miley Cyrus - Slide Away

    rrvFv6j3-sM

This song really reminds me of something but I'm not sure what. I see on Wikipedia it is compared to some 80's British music, so maybe it's some old school music or something. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I really enjoy this side of Miley. It's a more serious song compared to many other recent singles and I really like her voice on this too. "Once upon a time, it was paradise, Once upon a time, I was paralyzed" :bye2: That's such an interesting lyric. I like how she sings the verses, but the chorus is what sticks with me most. Or well, all the "So won't you slide away" parts. I actually really like the pre-chorus before that too and it's probably my other favorite part. "I want my house in the hills, don't want the whiskey and pills" Yay. :bye2: Oh and I realized the first and second verse are exactly the same, which is interesting. I guess she had to say it all again, meanwhile the pre-chorus has different lyrics. Hmm. But very good song.

    140. Post Malone - Wow.

    A6_FDcXCYvQ

I didn't really expect myself to have any Post Malone songs on here, but this is what's happening. It's 2020 now, so #NewYear #NewMe Except not really. I kind of had to include this song here for Wally. Wow. wow. :giggle: If you know, you know. But besides that, ugh this song is really catchy and the beat is kind of hot. Wow. I don't know, but I always enjoy listening to this. I have no idea what he is talking about in these verses or well any of the song besides the... "wow." And I do always catch the Fall Out Boy name drop, as well. But that's about it. "It's a moment when I show up, got 'em sayin', "Wow" " :bobo: The best. Who knows what happens in the rest of the song and it may not be for me, but I really enjoy the beat and sound of this. Yeah, those other lyrics can go. Wow. But we'll ignore because this is here for the one part, which is... wow. Although, reading the lyrics... I see Dumbo mention. No idea what he's saying though. DUMBO. My #3 Disney movie that people tanked. :broken: But alas... "Made another hit 'cause I got bored now" :lmao: Well okay. Wow. "Always goin' for it, never punt fourth down" I do like this football reference. :haha: This is what my Seahawks need to do... as long as they don't fail eight times in a row near the goal line in the last minute to give up the division title and week one bye. :) (!) Wow.

    139. Avril Lavigne - I Fell in Love with the Devil

    XIw_e2B0AbE

This song was a standout to me when I listened to Avril's album, so I'm pleased to find out it was a single, despite never hearing it on the radio. It is basically about what it implies from the title, which is a toxic relationship. I really love the pre-chorus where she sings "But I-I-I-I-I can't stop the rush, and I-I-I-I-I can't give you up" It's so pretty, but also really sad. I love the way she powers more on the chorus and the way she sings the "I fell in love with the devil" parts. The whole song has a quite sad and gloomy feel, but also so powerful from the chorus especially. The bridge is so haunting, as is that part where she sings "I fell in love with the devil, I'm underneath his spell" before the chorus booms back in full throttle. Wow. Such an emotional and powerful song. I really wish I listened to this much more, because it could have been quite a bit higher.

    Clues for 138-131:

    - Another song from an artist in the just posted set.

    - A song from a band who reunited in 2019.

    - This song has the same name as a single from my favorite male artist.

    - A song from an artist whose first and last name begin with the same letter..

    - The name of this song could describe a person's eyes.

    - A song that was performed on the finale of a reality competition show

    - The artist and name of this song begin with the same letter.

    - A song from a band whose name is a compound word.

  7. - Mhmmm. Ooh I have no clueu.

    - Mhmm. :( Ooh I know but being lied to isn’t good. Although with telling the truth that could be bad as a lot of hurtful stuff would be revealed. I did see them on a number of shows together over the last year or so. Ooh I did not know this fact but that is really cool. :o

    - Yes ma’am. Lol yeah there’s that country singer with the name Alan and am sure there are some with the name Walker so that makes sense.

    - Oooh I see. I have seen Brantey’s name quite a bit so there is that. Ooh also din’t know Lindsay is friends with Lauren but good to know. It did. Your comments were spot on about it. :haha: Oooh woaa I did not know that. When were they engaged? And you spilling all the facts in here tonight (or well today when you posted this).

    - By young, she still better be 18 or over but they were at a bar and you have to be 21 to go in there so hopefully she’s at that age? LOL Now I’m all wanting to know. :dead:

:giggle: Ahhh yess. I wish you could help me too so, help me. :bye2:

    "clueu"

    - I know, but the whole song is her telling him to lie, so she doesn't have to face the truth. Oh, what kind of shows? Yes!

    - Yes, there are some with both names. :teehee:

    - Okay. Now you know. :teehee: Oh thanks, lol. Yes... lol I have lots of facts. They were engaged in 2013.

    - I don't know, but 21 should be old enough to not have her dad come out after the guy. :haha:

The clues are supposed to help. :bye2: I think you at least got one. And the set is about to come.

  8. Ahh I haven't gotten to read through all the final write-ups yet, but hope to soon. I was thinking Toy Story would win around the Top 10 or so, although of course I prefer The Lion King, but... both are amazing, classic Disney movies, and a very worthy Final 2.

Me and the public sharing a #1. And I'm so happy that my all-time favorite Disney movie (not just in the finals) made the Top 2! :spaz: :D

Thank you Steven for hosting such a great and fun rankdown! I love Disney so much and am glad I got to be a part of it, especially since last time you asked me to join your rankdown I didn't even know how to play. :blushingwave: Now I do! :teehee: You did an amazing job.

  9. - : ( Ooooh lol I can’t disagree but I mean I want to hear him on it now that you brought it up.

    - Lmao yeah I guess I did. Gosh this shows you how much of a hot mess I am with clues. :lma o: Oooh what do you mean by this? : o Aww ok!

    154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: Ooh wow look at us both posting all of these Alessia songs so early on our lists. :ha ha: Lol your Tyra comment but yess you know the story behind that haha. You know my thoughts on this but yeah I like this and the vibe/feel of it. The message is kinda sad but I like the feel of it and that beat. And yess you mention war I like with the music and the chorus. Oh I didn’t really notice that lyric you pointed out about having fun/making fun of line but ahh wow. Ahh I like all of these parts you are listing and your thoughts pretty much echo all of mine.

    153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Ooh yayy another song I had on my list too. :gi ggle: Yeah this was an unexpected collabo for sure ut yeah it was cool hearing one of your country boys on pop radio. :giggle : Oooh you described this song really well. Oooh lol songs can be weird. I love that comment from you. I ALREADY FORGOT what i said my favorite part was but I am sure it’s the chorus, as it usually is. I do really like that part a lot. :y es: I like all of these parts you listed and this was a song that needed some time to grow on me but I am glad it did.

    152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: Awww at not being so crazy about Luke’s more recent singles. That’s a shame when that happens. : ( OMGGG YOUR reaction to finding out what “knockin’ boots” meant. : dead: I LOVE IT. I cant say I know or remember the exact meaning of it but I knew it was something naughty and adult-like but forgot exactly what it was. But I think i remembered correctly, haha. :ha ha: Omgg wow this song is kinda naughty…. oooo Luke. Overall this is alright but not doing too much for me on this first listen. I can get you saying the song as a fun sing a-long feel to it. Ooh wait, I feel like I do recognize the last bit of the chorus on this. Ooh I see you mentioned it, yayy. That part is kinda fun.

    151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: NHT but from the title, I would expect it to be a sad song and listening to it, it definitely is. : ( Aww this song is really sad and emotional. : ( Jana sounds beautiful vocally and the emotion she pours is so good. I really like the chorus and all of these parts you are mentioning. Aww but noooo at those lies. Not nice. :by e2: Ahh yeah I know she and her husband have had many ups and downs in their relationship so I would take it this song is about that and the downs. : ( Very sad but yeah I hope they are good now, which I also believe they are.

    150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: OOOOH so this is the song to that clue I could NOT think of anything for it. :lm ao: Okay obviously this works as Sabrina is the one you love. And oh i learned of Alan Walker through Tom’s list and the Music Rankdown although still not that familiar with him. Ooh yes you mentioned Alan being on Tom’s list and lol so true on the country singer comment. Sabrina does sound pretty on this song and like her on this song. I like the part you mentioned as your favorite. The song has a cool funky feel to it especially the breakdown section of it. Farruko’s part is cool but oooo he’s singing in a different language. Is it Spanish? Wow I was not expecting that. Ooh wow that bridge is so trippy sounding lmao. Cool song and I enjoyed it.

    149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: OMGG Finally my Maddie guesses are right. Not sure if I heard this song before or not but getting to hear it now so yayy. :te ehee: Oooh interesting story behind the song which I would not have gotten from the title of it. : o I do like the pre-chours and the chorus part of the song you mentioned. Oh wow this song has more of an upbeat fun feel to it which I wasn’t expecting. I like tis fun and slight sassy vibe from her. And yeah I like this much more than I was expecting. :hah a: This is fun. Well done Maddie.

    148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: OMGG #bless that I actually got this right! I’m so proud! :w00 t: I heard of both of these artists but couldn’t tell you a song by either of tem. I’m more familiar with Lindsay though, and prefer her. Aww nice explanation of the song. But whoa yeah this song scared me once it got to the chorus. It was sooo soft and quiet and then really boom’d on the chorus. :lma o: And yeah the build-up was really fast too. The parts you mentioned are nice here. :ha ha: And hmm as I expected, I don’t care for Brantley too much here but I like Linsday on this Her voice is so pretty. : o It is a nice song/duet with these two.

    147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: :dead: @ your first sentence. But yes i noticed that you are here. Oooh I think/hope I predicted this too? : o Well I am glad this guess was right and not my other one. Hmmm I can’t recall if I heard this song or not. I want to say I have but never really paid attention to it? I see that it was a big hit so that’s goo for himm. This song has a nice calm soft relaxing feel to it. Overall this song is alright for me but when it got to the chorus i was liking the sound of it. It’s all really nice and sweet, so I can total get you liking all of this. :teeh ee: OMGGGG YOUR comments on the video and the awkwardness of it…. omgg what is this even about? : dead: Lmao wow. Uhh she better not be toooo young or else, #yikes. That ending is sooo messy. : dead:

    Clues for 146-139:

    - A song from an artist who shares a first name with someone in the above set. // I would assume not someone tat was actually in this set. :giggle: Chris seems like the best thing to go off of as that is such a common name. There’s Chris Young’s “Hangin’ On,” “Drowning” or “Raised on Country”? Chris Janson’s “Good Vibes” or “Done”? Chris Stapleton’s “Millionaire”? I hope it’s Chris because I’m not sure what to guess with the other names.

    - This song title contains only one word. // Gosh not even sure what to guess. Camila Cabello’s “Shameless” or “Liar”? Lee Brice “Rumor”? Maren Morris’ “Girl”?

    - Another song from the first set of Wally's list. / Yayy another clue regarding my list! :w00t: My best guesses… Dan + Shay - “All To Myself”, Camila Cabello - “Shameless”, Halsey - “Graveyard”, Mariah Carey - “A No No”or Miley Cyrus - “Slide Away”. I would mainly guess the Camila, Mariah or Halsey songs?

    - This song title has a gender in it. // BTS & Halsey’s Boy with Luv? Ariana Grande’s boyfriend or break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored, Dustin Lynch’s Good Girl? Maren Morris’ “Girl”?

    - A collaboration between two artists whose names start with letters that are back to back in the alphabet. // Awww this is a really cute clue. Too bad I don’t know what to guess. :dead: Gah so far I can only think of Lizzo/Missy Elliott’s Tempo or Sam Feldt/RANI’s Post Malone but doubt those will be here. Ugh I am stumped.

    - This song is requesting you not to do something. // uhhh something like ~please don’t go or leave? Mabel’s “Don’t Call Me Up”? Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”, Ariana/Miley/Lana “Don’t Call Me Angel”?

    - A song that is wishing for something. // Something with wishing or wanting in its title? Gah not sure what to guess here.

    - This song name has the word "love" in it. // Oooh i like this clue as there are lots of songs ith the word love in it but i’m afraid I’m gonna get this wrong. Let’s see….. Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”? Eli Young Band “Love Ain’t,” Brett Elderdge “Love Someone,” Cole Swindell “ Love You Too Late”, The Chainsmokers/5 Serconds of Summer “Who Do You Love,” Carrie Underwood’s “Love Wins” MAX’s “Love me Less,” Selena Gomez’s “Lose you To Love Me”

    - I want to hear him sing it too. :(

    - You are not. I mean I wonder if there's another clue you could have guessed the Ciara song for, since the JoJo and Keith ones were for different clues than you guessed.

    - Yep. I wrote that long before ever reading your comment on it lol, but yes now I know how she talked about that. Yes, same. I did. :bye2: Yay!

    - Yes it is. lol thank you. Thanks. They can be with the arrangements though. Ah yeah probably. Me too!

    - Yeah, but I do like this one. :bobo: Uhhh yeah. I did not know and that is never how I took this. :ermm: And still is not. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?...nocking%20boots :) Aww okay but yay thinking part is fun, at least.

    - Yes, it is. :( I agree with what you said. "Aww but noooo at those lies. Not nice." But she is telling him to lie. That's what I explained. I think so, but I believe they are and they are good friends with Shawn and Andrew!

    - Yes sir. :teehee: Ahh okay. OMG yayy you agree with me that his name sounds like a country singer. :haha: Yay! Yes, Spanish, and Steven explained what he says in his post. :teehee: lol your bridge comment.

    - Yes, this was one you named. Me neither. I'm glad you like this too! :bobo:

    - Good job, Wally. Aww... I'm more familiar with Brantley, although I only know a couple of his songs, but am getting to know Lindsay. She's also good friends with Lauren! omg the song scaring you at the chorus. :lmao: lol okay. Aww okay. Oh and actually, fun fact... Brantley was previously engaged to Jana.

    - It's true though. :teehee: Yes you did. lol you're glad the other guess was wrong. I wouldn't think you had heard this before, but hmm. Yayy I hoped you'd like. It is so strange in the video... she seems too young with her dad showing up. :fear:

Your first comment on the first clue. :lmao: Hmmm ahh so many guesses and I wish I could help. :" border="0" alt="blushing.gif" /> You'll see soon.

  10. 154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: I heard this on Wallace's list. And yes, I remember that Tyra moment, too. :giggle: I agree about the cool vibe of the song. It's catchy, but laid back at the same time. I'm enjoying this on a second listen. :music:

    153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Yes, I agree this was an unexpected collaboration. I don't know much about this Marshmello person, but I wouldn't expect a collaboration with a country artist. Anyway, I do kind of like this song, especially the part that you quoted that you said was long. It's a cool, chill song. Kudos to him on the Top 40 hit.

    152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: "I haven't been as crazy about some of Luke's recent singles." Same. :bye2: I used to really like Luke's music, but his latest two albums haven't impressed me. This is another letdown for me, but I agree with you that the song has a singalong feel to it (especially in the chorus). I can see fans singing this song back to him at concerts. Hopefully I'll like Luke's 2020 music better.

    151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: That's cool we both happened to post Jana songs today. Anyway, I'm not too familiar with this song. I think I did hear this one already, but I like it more after listening to it again while reading your write-up of it. It's a sad song, but she sounds pretty here. That's good she's in a better spot now in her life!

    150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: NHT. This has an interesting sound to it, especially the instrumentation. Ooh, the guy is singing in Spanish here! Yeah, what he's saying is that he's sorry, he's tired of fighting, he knows his mistakes but he's only human, but he's ready to leave, too. Overall, this was pretty good.

    149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: I wasn't a Maddie fan on Idol either, but I haven't grown to like her since I haven't followed her after her time on the show ended. So this is one I haven't heard before, but I ended up liking this better than I expected to. I hear what you mean about it being kind of jammy in a cool way. This was pretty good.

    148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: I think I have heard this song before, but I'll have to listen to it again to remember how it goes. As I'm hearing it now, I think it's pretty good. I don't typically care for Brantley's music, but I like this song. The contributions from both Brantley and Lindsay work well here. I also like the swell of the music, which you mention in your write-up. Good song!

    147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: I like Chris Lane's song "Fix," but I haven't kept up with his other songs. So this is another one I'm hearing for the first time (unless I already heard it but forgot). This is pretty good. It's got a catchy groove to it, and he delivers the lyrics well (especially in the bridge). I think I like the Brantley and Lindsay song better and would rank it highest of these set of songs, but I found this one to be enjoyable too.

    - Yay you knowing that Tyra moment! :giggle: I'm glad you like this after hearing it twice now. :D

    - I don't know much about Marshmello either, but I'm a fan of Kane! "I do kind of like this song, especially the part that you quoted that you said was long" :haha: I don't know why that made me laugh. But yay!

    - Aw yeah, I know you feel that way about Luke. :( Hopefully he will release more you like soon.

    - I noticed too. :teehee: I'm glad you like this one as well, and I agree!

    - Oooh, thank you for translating here for me! Glad you like this too.

    - I see. :haha: I mostly grew to like her a lot more on tour, so that probably lead me into listening to her album and liking it. Maybe you'll like some others I feature on here, but glad you like this one now too!

    - Yay, glad you like! I agree with your comments.

    - I remember that song and liked that one too. I think I prefer this one though. I agree with your thoughts and oh, thanks for sharing that! Rankings can be tight for me.

I like this song a lot but Spotify told me it was a 2018 song so I didn't include it but Google says 2019 so maybe Spotify lied to to me. Anyways its a good song.

It was released as a single in January 2019. But even 2018 songs can be eligible, if they are popular in 2019 or I like them more then. That is especially true for ones released super late in the year.

  11. 162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): I liked Little Mix's last album even if I prefer their more pop sound and this is one of the strongest songs from it!

    161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika): I love that JoJo's back but this song is just ok for me.

    160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me: I liked Caleb ok from what I saw of American Idol 16, but haven't kept up with anyone except kind of Maddie. But this pretty good, looks like he's finding his sound.

    159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA: His voice grates on my nerves.

    158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg): I never really watched Songland. Not my style of music but pretty decent for what it is I guess.

    157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus):

    156. Ciara - Greatest Love: I'm liking this on first listen! Like that Ciara is back releasing music. It's sweet like you said and also sensual. And yes Wally would. :haha:

    155. Keith Urban - We Were: This is ok/decent from Keith, though not up to par with some of the songs from his latest album. I haven't kept up with his music this year so looking forward to more of his songs on this list.

    - Me too, although there are a few other songs I love much more than this one.

    - Same and that's understandable.

    - Aww, well I'm happy with your comments here! ^_^

    - Oh. :(

    - Ahh okay.

    - Same about Ciara.

    - Ah yeah. This is the only single he released in 2019. :( Hopefully more music from him soon. There is another I want to feature during an intermission though.

    154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You: Unfortunately I couldn't get into this song of hers either, stays on the same level the whole time.

    153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right: Yeah I don't care for this collaboration at all. Like with Sam Hunt, I don;t care that he tries to combine country with other genres. Wish he'd just stick to country, but hopefully For My Daughter shows up later.

    152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots: Yeah I don't care for Luke's recent singles either, this included. Reminds me of the Shake it For Me era. :|

    151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies: Jana Kramer is an artist I've always known about but I haven't really loved a song of hers yet. As a result I haven't been following her and didn't know she released music this year. But this is pretty good!

    150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way: Yesss I did have several Alan songs on my list last year. :haha: Probably won't have the energy to do a list this year but we'll see. Anyway this isn't my favorite song of Alan's, but Sabrina sounds great.

    149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss: I do like this song, although it's a bit poppier than what I think she wanted to make. I prefer her more acoustic/folkier side, but I wish this song had gotten more attention though because I want to see an AI alum succeed in this day and age.

    148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town: I haven't been listening to as much country this year so I don't know this song, but I too know of both of them.

    147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You: I appreciate a lot of country being on this list. :P I only know a song or two of his but this is good, I love the chorus as well.

    - Aww okay. :(

    - Ahh. I don't really feel like he tries to combine other genres with his own music, but this was a collaboration, so it's a mix. Is For My Daughter a single now? Wikipedia doesn't say so. :(

    - Aww. :( Oh, I loved that era. :bye2:

    - I see! I'm glad you like this though.

    - Aha, I thought it was you. :giggle: Aww. But yay Sabrina!

    - That could be, but I really like it and her album. I wish this too. :(

    - Ahh okay.

    - Yay! :teehee: Glad you like this too!

  12. Denise hugs!! :w00t:

    - Surprised we haven’t gotten more info on this but hopefullly we can at some point. Oooh lmao I don’t even plan it either? Shout-outs just happen if i feel it feels right or if there’s songs out there that make me think of you liking and such. :haha: OK.

    - Aww I loved their 2000 movie. I don’t think i saw the 2nd one but I can’t remember. And also “Independent Women” was the lead song from that movie soo i was loving it. Ooh I can only think of Kristen Stewart in this new version but I wasn’t ever a fan of hers.

    - LOL Well everyone has a body sooo that is what I mean. OMG what report are you filing on me? I didn’t do anything. :bye2: I do too. Oooh aww that’s okay. I remember it though. OMGGG you are never gonna let me forget about saying this. :dead::haha: I try to say all of my thoughts I have on all of these songs. :haha:

    - Awww okay. I do remember seeing you listing it on our AT40 talks - so yeah you didn’t remember. Which awww bummer as I do like this song.

Welll maybe not since it was technically the same day but I meant after I wake up, I would reply in your thread. And I will go back there again shortly.

    Wally.

    - I feel like I heard the story so many times, but still don't know this. I just love my shout-outs!!

    - Yayyy. Oh, you should if you loved the first. Aww that's good. I also know Naomi Scott and Elizabeth Banks.

    - Okay. Not on you, silly. On the body that is on me. (!) It's not about that, I just love the quote and love my shout-outs.

    - Oh oops, sorry.

I was kidding because I didn't see that until the next day, meaning "tomorrow" would be a whole other day later. :teehee:

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    82. Kelsea Ballerini - “Miss Me More:” I did not expect this on the list, so yay! And yes, you must have heard it on my non-singles intermission first. I love the attitude of this song and her realizing her self worth too. She thought she would have missed him, but didn't and only missed herself. (!) You named one of my favorite parts at the end of the chorus.

    81. Dua Lipa - “Don't Start Now:” I've only heard this a few times, but like it more with every listen. I think it's grown on me faster than most other songs of hers... or well I just like it more. I like that beginning part you quoted too. The chorus is kind of fun. :bobo: And I know I have gotten some song titles not exactly right by just hearing them too. It's hard to know with all she says here.

    80. Avril Lavigne - “Head Above Water:” Yes, this is a really powerful song and I also read something about it coming about due to her health issues. It makes sense with the lyrics. I agree with your comments and love how she sings this and the powerful lyrics.

    79. Niall Horan - “Nice To Meet Ya:” I don't know if I was really surprised with the style of this song? I don't know. It is quite different form his very first solo single, but I guess I'm used to different things from him. I really liked the vibe of this right away. :bobo: And yeah a phone number tattoo is not the best idea. I love the parts you named too. The french! Love it. He delivers this really well. Hmm I don't know who that person you named at the end is. I feel like it's not unusual for people to write songs in less than a day though? I don't know.

    78. The Chainsmokers - “Call You Mine” (feat. Bebe Rexha): I thought this would be on here, but kind of surprised you didn't really pay attention to this. It seems like your kind of song. I like how Bebe sings on this too and the parts you named... which is most of this commentary. :haha: No idea about this video.

    77. Cardi B - “Money:” Don't know why I didn't see this as an option, but I almost got the whole set right. >. Okay, the first is the chorus, I see. Hmm yeah I recognize that. These lyrics... yeah. Not sure. Her delivery on the show is good and convincing, but could be different words. I don't know about this. Interesting.

    - A female singer who makes her 2nd appearance on this list with this song: Toooo much work. *opens up all sets to count* Gosh, there are tons this could be. I don't know. Best guesses... something from Halsey, Nicki, Carrie, Ally, Billie, Dua, Ariana? Halsey - Nightmare, Carrie - Southbound, Ally - Lowkey/Higher/No Good, Billie - bad guy, Dua - Swan Song, Ariana - boyfriend? There are more options but hopefully something I named.

    - The first word of this song is the opposite of love, and the song is a collaboration between a female and male artist: Elie Goulding & Juice WRLD - Hate Me

    - When you have nothing to say, you are left what?: Dan + Shay - Speechless

    - A collaboration between a male singer and male rapper - even though both sing and rap: Post Malone and Swae Lee - Sunflower? Or Post Malone and Young Thug - Goodbyes? Maybe somebody else.

    - A song that has already shown up on Steven’s list: Fletcher - Undrunk

    - This Swedish female artist makes an appearance with this song: Zara Larsson - Ruin My Life or All the Time?

  13. I brought this show into the rankdown and meant the Australian version, not the US version which was...not so good. :) Should've advocated for someone to save it in the thread. Thankfully not a big favorite though.

Oooh no... I wish I would have known and would have definitely changed the cut. :( I also just figured it was the U.S. version since there was no indication. >.

Ooh awww I liked the US version - although I watched some episodes of Season 1 and was kinda really into it. Then I forgot to tune into it for Season 2. :haha:

    I didn't know you watched this. :o :(

  14. Secrets and Lies
    IPB Image
You know you like a lot of TV when all your safety requests are honored, and you still like half the nominees. :bye2: Hopefully more will be saved than cut, but at least none are huge top favorites, which I do appreciate. Secrets and Lies is a mystery anthology show that aired on ABC between 2015 and 2016, and is based on an Australian show by the same name. The story follows Detective Andrea Cornell, played by Juliette Lewis, as she investigates homicides. The show received mixed reviews and was cancelled after two seasons. I do like mysteries, so maybe I would enjoy this show if I were to watch. I never heard of it until now though, and I had to make a cut, so sorry to any fans. :(

    Saving: Life Sentence

    IPB Image
  15. 96. Back to Life - I love this song too and yay the Dan + Shay influence!

    95. Date La Vuelta - "Not every set in this countdown will include a song with Sebastián Yatra." :haha: This sounds okay for me on first listen, but may have to grow on me, as well.

    94. Good Enough - I try to keep up with Jana's music, but haven't heard this one. I see it was released a few months ago, so I wonder why it's not listed on Wikipedia. :detective: I really like this hearing it now, and also love the positivity of the lyrics.

    93. I Forgot That You Existed - Yess, one of my favorites from the Lover album too! Although I don't know how far I've managed to narrow down my favorites yet, as I love so many. I love the way Taylor delivers the lyrics too. It's so perfect. :haha: This is a great opening track and I have not yet tired of listening to it. I love the carefree attitude. :bobo:

  16. https://instagram.com/baileymyown?igshid=si8q6wksvwi6

You can hear her talk about her EP on her instagram see if she sounds similar to you or not I guess. Shes from a rural area so that might be different then being from like Seattle or something though.

Thanks! ^_^ I'm also going to listen to her EPs soon. :w00t:

    15. Gatsby - Kalie Shorr: This is a fun song. I definitely hear her making fun of herself right at the start. :haha: I liked this on a first listen.

    14. Dumbest Thing - Lacy Cavalier: This is okay for me, but could also be a grower. I don't mind it and like the emotion behind the song.

    13. Rainbow - Kacey Musgraves: I do know and love this song.

    12. Violins - Kassi Ashton: This is kind of fun and I like the punch of the beat.

    11. Trust You - Julia Cole: Oh, I like the feel of this. :bobo: It's really light and upbeat, which makes me happy... despite the lyrics not necessarily being in the same vein.

  17. 154. Alessia Cara - Rooting for You

    VFIw3fyaw-E

I wonder how much Tyra Banks paid Alessia to turn this into a song. :giggle: I love it. I guess this person really displeased Alessia and well... the title of the song says it all. It has a cool kind of vibe that I can't explain. But I really love her vocal on this part: "I'm tirrreddd of sending hugs and kisses" But this lyric... "Now I see you're havin' so much fun with everyone you had so much fun makin' fun of" Ah wow. That is interesting. I guess he changed. I love this in the bridge: "I'm not even brokenhearted, I'm just a little disappointed"

    153. Marshmello & Kane Brown - One Thing Right

    29a6o5vRKVM

Kane doing a collaboration with Marshmello is so unexpected, but I'm really glad it happened, as this got Kane a crossover Top 40 hit and I actually heard him on pop radio. :giggle: It's an interesting song about a guy who gets into all kinds of trouble, does a lot of bad things, and the only thing he got right is the woman he's with. The verse where he sings "Known to be crazy, known to be wild, mama had to suffer a little devilish child" kind of fast is cool. Hmm now I'm not sure if the part that I love most is the pre-chorus or chorus. Songs can be weird. "I've been at the wrong place at the wrong time, chasin' all the wrong things most of my life, been every kinda lost that you can't find, but I got one thing right. Been the kind of guy girl's mamas don't like, runnin' with the wrong crowd on the wrong nights ,'cause I've been wrong about a million times, but I got one thing right, you" Well that was long.

    152. Luke Bryan - Knockin' Boots

    Ioz93bSi2uc

I haven't been as crazy about some of Luke's recent singles, but this is my favorite one from the last year, at least. I really like the sound of this, although wow, I was shook upon learning something about the phrase "knockin' boots." I had no idea it was an old western term for engaging in adult behavior. What. Anyway, he wastes no time starting off the song with his singing right away and telling us everything that needs to happen. It has a really cool groove that I can't quite explain, but really like. It picks up more in the chorus, which I also really like and is probably my favorite: "Yeah, birds need bees and ice needs whiskey. Boys like me need girls like you to kiss me" :bobo: It has such a sing-a-long feel to it, although I have make some adjustments to the second lyric. :giggle: "Sweet tea needs that sugar stirrin'" :bobo: Oh and then I really like this part too: "Shades need drawin', hearts need fallin', boots need knockin'... knockin' boots" I feel like I can't explain anything in this song well, but oh well. You can all hear it for yourself. The music is really fun and groovy too, and I also like his "ohhh" parts.

    151. Jana Kramer - Beautiful Lies

    S1ju2RgTEiw

I really like this song from Jana, although it's sad. She doesn't want to accept the bad in this relationship and where things went wrong. She just wants him to tell her beautiful lies. :bye2: I love that oxymoron. Lie and make her think it's all beautiful. :broken: The first lyric already stands out to me. "Surrounded by pieces of vows that were broken" That's kind of clever. But the chorus is the best. I especially love these parts "Take me back to the night I could feel" and "I'm not ready for the truth to see the light, Make it up, make it pretty, I don't mind, Tell me beautiful lies" :bye2: You can feel and see her emotion in the video. I imagine this song has personal meaning behind it, although I believe she is now in a good spot with her marriage and family, so yay.

    150. Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, & Farruko - On My Way

    dhYOPzcsbGM

I love Sabrina, but am not familiar with the other two artists on this song. Although, I think I remember Alan Walker appearing on someone else's list before (Tom's?), as the name made me think he was a country singer, yet he's a DJ. :haha: Random memory. Anyway, Sabrina sings on this song and sounds so pretty. I love the way she sings that opening verse.

    149. Maddie Poppe - Made You Miss

    N010V5TLKkQ

I wasn't a huge Maddie fan on Idol, but I grew to like her a lot more during the tour and even more after listening to her album. I do like quite a few songs on there. This one is pretty clever to me with the title and then how she sings that lyric in the actual song. It's not like she made him miss.... but she made him miss HER. (!) I see what you did there. She is telling this guy who wants her back just how it is. "Playin' for the takin', but you gave in when you aimed for my hearrttttt" Yesss I love the way it builds up into the chorus. So good. And then "Made you miss me, now you wanna kiss me. Hope you're listening, can't delete your historyyyy, but I made you miss me" :bobo: I can't describe the feel of this song, but it's cool and kind of jammy in a way I can't explain. I especially love the way she sings the word "historyyy" and then that "but I made you miss me" line in a more pronounced way. She sings the bridge pretty fast and it's cool, but I really like the way she sings the last part that goes "Do you wanna beeeeeee" I also love how she sings "I made you miss me" over and over at the end. The feel of this is just so good.

    148. Brantley Gilbert & Lindsay Ell - What Happens in a Small Town

    u6BTbjFsW-w

I was somewhat familiar with both Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay Ell before this song, more so Brantley as I know a couple of his songs. This one has a similiar story to quite a few songs I've heard recently, but basically it's about how it's hard to move on from a relationship when the place you live has so many memories of it. The song takes very little time to bloom into the chorus, but I really like it a lot, especially the contrast of their voices. I especially love the second to last line that goes, "Everybody knows why I'm here, and you ain't around" The verses are seriously so short and build up so fast lol, but I love the end of Lindsay's verse that says "But this is where I belong, this is my home too." Both sides of the relationship on display in this song is a nice touch as well. They are both going through the same thing. I really love the part in the bridge that goes "Yeah, and every time I see that little white Jeep, Yeah, that hand-me-down Ford pullin' down your street" :omg: Sounds so good, as do Lindsay's ad-libs at the end of the song. This has such a great swell in it and I love listening to it.

    147. Chris Lane - I Don't Know About You

    8aUzwbp_NfI

    *song starts around 0:33*

I'm here making up for the lack of country on my previous sets. :bobo: Of course this list will have a lot of it. I thought this song was cute the first time I heard it on the radio, and I have since heard it played countless times. I really enjoy it every single time. The song is basically about a guy wanting to get to know a girl he meets in a bar, so it isn't anything that deep, but... it does have a sweet melody and comes off that way too. I really love the feel of the chorus. It just has this really good warm feel about it that I love. "What's your name, what's your sign, what's your birthday? What's your wrist tattoo bible verse say? Tell me this, do you kiss on the first date? Don't hold anything back" I really love the whole chorus, and then that last line that goes "Tell me everything 'til there's nothing I don't know about you" I really love the way he sings on the bridge too, but especially the line that says "I know you got my heart beatin' in this bar"

    - Yeahh me neither. Maybe there’s other videos of him explaining the meaning of the song? :unsur e: SO confused. Awww that’s okay.

    - Ooh yeah I know I can but some of it I can be a bit embarrassed about. But oh well, I got no shame. :ha ha: Thanks.

    - Ah yes you were! Yeah I was also surprised about how long it took for this to grow on me. Ah ok I get you being the same. Aww i get you being the same with this. And lol yeah your relationship on Maroon 5 songs are much more unpredictable and harder to tell than with me. Oooh you did? I probably did too but I forgot. But ooooo, I did not realize this song was abut their manager who passed away. That’s sooo incredibly sad. :( Thanks for sharing. I had a feeling it had to deal with passing but yeah the sentiment is really felt there.

    - Ahh yeah you did guess this song before on another set but yes it is here now. Oooh yeah I am unclear on that too. I thought it was a Dan + Shay song and then Justin wanted to be on it but i dont’ know. OMGG at how you heard this back to back on different stations. That is hilarious. :haha: But ahh yess agree on all of this comments. Glad you love the sweetness and feel of the song. Omggg you boboing to this? It’s not a hobo-y type song. :haha: LMAOOO I was kinda kidding there BUT If I am right then…. you heard it here first. Yess you can tell me the parts you love. :* Oooh ok yayy me being mostly right there - without looking anything up. :bobo:

    - Let me know if you see the CA movie. I’m more incline to the early 2000s version of it haha. But yeah the movie and song does have a good girl power feel to it. Ah I see on the radio comments. I heard it on the radio but not that much. LOL YESS you agreeing with me on the song structure and feeling like this is an Ariana song too. And yeah true at the Lana comment. I agree with pretty much your whole commentary on this.

    - Ahh your comments here….. and oh wait, I’m thinking you’re thinking of “Heartless” which is The Weeknd’s latest single that’s played on radio (although he has another newer song out too). So I think you are thinking of that one. Ooooh wow interesting how you heard that part of the song and how you recognize it but not the rest of the song. I guess that part sticks out but ah I see. I didn’t really realize the rest of the lyrics util looking them up. It’s all different from what I’m used to hearing lol.

    - LMAOOO you with the first sentence. :lmao: I meant how everyone has a body. Not literally having a body on top of you but having a body. :haha: Ah I thought you knew this was out in 2018 and thought you heard it then too - but yea it is more 2019 for us bot. LMAOOOO you cracking up here but yess you are welcome for your mentions and shout-outs. Well you did always bring up and mention tis song to me, so it was fitting to bring you up. :haha:

    - Oooh I thought you heard “Just us” before. Lmaoo omggg yess of course he does, DJ Khaled is just soo darn loud. Awww nooo you did hear this on your AT40 listens though. I know you did. :o LOL oops, I meant Ms. Jackson and I meant the whole production/music is sampled there. Yay for recognizing the chorus a bit though. No I didn’t but I know and remember the imagery of it haha. OMGGG LOLOL noooooo don’t start this again. :dead: You dooo know who SZA is. :bleh:

Yayyy guesses!! Hmmmm i seee some interesting guesses here. :shifty: Ooh and gah I will reply in your list tomorrow. Took a lot longer than I expected to reply in here.

    - Oh, do you mean explaining it in a different way? Hmm all I can come up with here is if the chorus refers to them fighting or something, but still :?

    - :(

    - "Ah ok I get you being the same. Aww i get you being the same with this." :haha: And lol at the comment about my relationship with their songs too. I suppose. Yeah, you're welcome. :(

    - I thought so. Hmm I need more info. I love when that happens, if it's a song I want to hear. Yay! :bobo: Yes it is. Oh, but I just love that and all my shout-outs happening. Maybe. Yep.

    - Ah, I never really saw the previous version, but I heard about it a lot. I like some of the cast of this new one, which got me interested. I see. Yes, I do agree!

    - Oh, maybe that is the one. Thanks. Yeah, that is very strange. Well, they are certainly something.

    - You said everyone has this on them. HMM. I'm going to have to file a report. (!) I like my guess though. Oh, I don't remember, oops. Sorry, but my shout-outs are iconic! :* I know, but lol you saying that here.

    - Ooooh, I don't remember. He is. Oh, maybe I'm wrong then, but I don't remember it. Oh, so it's not a certain part with lyrics? I see. Ah okay. lol I had to. :giggle:

Okay. :santa: Tomorrow? :bye2: :P But I already replied back.

  19. I thought I saw you post in Denise's list that you weren't making a list this year.

I did say I wasn't going to, but I ended up changing my mind.

Wow, my power. :bye2: :giggle: But so glad you decided to do a list and share it with us! :D As I said, I always enjoy following your song lists. ^_^

    100. Runaway - I never heard of this before and am kind of surprised to see the Jonas Brothers on this. :o lol I was wondering why this was here reading all your comments about not liking it that much, but I see. This is fun and could grow on me with more listens.

    99. Undrunk - I remember hearing this in your thread last year for the first time and am surprised you never heard it again. :o I heard this quite often on the radio, so that was nice. I always really liked the sound of it and her voice, as well.

    98. Into the Trees - I loved Brooke on Idol too, but haven't done a good job of keeping up with her. >.

    97. Alright - This is also among my favorites for their new album. I like the optimism of the lyrics, and the feel of the song. They all sound great.

  20. Not his recording artist name though. Say whatever is on your mind! :teehee: You promise? :bye2:

    - Awww yeah and you’re welcome. Oh yeah I know but it seems the last two years songs have been shorter than they usualy are.

    - Yeah I thought so too. Awww your comments here. I get it though. I wonder how he would sound on it. LOL I can’t even explain but didn’t he used to scare you and stuff? Even though he wasn’t scary at all? I felt like I would tease you about your thoughts on him. :haha:

    - Well it does, but I also think of the other song because of the similar title. Omggg why you so blushy? :bleh: Mhmmm it is and it is a good part.

    - Ooooh? :lmao: I thought JoJo was the one named artist clue and I got that one wrong. :lmao: But ah I see that one was about Ciara. LMAO I still remain being a hot mess… and ugh I should have put that guess for that clue but I think i forgot about it while working on new clues. LOL oos. :lmao: Ahh that’s cool. Yess I’m happy about that.

omgggg lol wow really? I am beyond shocked there. :haha:

I know. Nothing is on my mind. Of course, it just may be awhile.

    - I know, and am saying this as well that songs seem so short lately.

    - Blah to that. :( He would sound fantastic. omg. :lmao: I don't even know, but I wish I could remember better.

    - I see. Because I am.

    - Ooooh.... oh wow, so you had them all for different clues. I wonder if you could attribute the Ciara song to a different one then. :haha: Ah my. It's okay.

    o:)

  21. Idina Menzel & Ariana Grande - A Hand for Mrs Claus: This is a neat idea for a Christmas song. Kudos to them for giving props to Mrs. Claus. :gig gle: The upbeat feel of this song is fun, and they both deliver vocally here.

Danny Gokey & David Archuleta - Noche De Paz: Oh gosh, I'm going to have to listen to Danny Gokey? :fea r: Danny's vocals still do nothing for me as I'm listening to this now and I'm just waiting for David to finally sing....Yeah, David should've just sung this without Danny. David sounds great here. I think he could've belted with more power at the end, but his choices were respectful and overall a nice rendition of this song from David.

Kacey Musgraves - Ribbons and Bows: Cute and catchy song. It's got a sweet message to it, and that chorus is especially an earworm.

Pentatonix - Do You Hear What I Hear? (Featuring Whitney Houston): Interesting they're using Whitney's vocals here. I wonder how they got permission to do that? : o Whitney sounds amazing, of course. I like they allow her voice to shine and they're pretty much just singing backup here.

Jonas Brothers - Like It's Christmas: Fun clapping arrangement here. They deliver the song well too. It doesn't stand out much on a first listen, but I still didn't mind it.

Liam Payne - All I Want (For Christmas): Yeah, this song was a downer. I do think he sounds great here, and I agree with you about the vocal choices he makes in the end of the second verse. I like happier Christmas songs, though. :l ol:

Sarah Jeffery & Jadah Marie - Audrey's Christmas Rewind: I know of Descendents, but I haven't seen any of the movies. Based on her look, I'm guessing she's Aurora and Phillip's daughter? Well, if she was the villain of the movie, then she deserves coal for Christmas. :whist ling: Anyway, the song is catchy, but it doesn't sound like a Christmas song though. But I see they just used the same melody of the song from the movie it's based on. "Jolly to the Core" was catchy, but it's very campy too. :ha ha: I think I like "Chillin' Like a Snowman" best out of all three. The groove of that one was cool.

Little Mix - One I've Been Missing: I think this is my favorite of all the Christmas songs you listed here so far. I haven't heard this one before, but I like it after a first listen. They sound great, and I like the arrangement. I especially enjoyed Perrie's vocals on this song. This was very good. :y es:

Danny Gokey - Until You: I can appreciate the message behind this song, but Danny's vocals are just so blah to me, even as I'm listening to this now. Sorry. : ph34r: But that's cool you like him!

And neat that Clay and Ruben sang together!

    170. Echosmith - Lonely Generation: I never heard of this song before. It's got a cool groove to it as I'm hearing it now. It's something that'll have to grow on me, but it's an interesting message.

    169. The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine: NHT. Hmm...I like some parts of this song better than the rest. Bebe's delivery is cool, but some production choices (especially in the chorus) are a bit much. This is something that'll have to grow on me too.

    168. Alessia Cara - Out of Love: I heard this for the first time on Wallace's list. I agree she sounds beautiful. Sad song indeed, though.

    167. Little Mix - Bounce Back: I heard this on Wallace's list, too. Like I said there, I wouldn't know about Little Mix's new music if it weren't for these yearly countdown lists (even though I do like Little Mix). Anyway, I think they deliver the song well, but it's not one of my favorites from Little Mix.

    166. Chord Overstreet - All Nighter: NHT. I don't know what I was expecting, but this was better than I thought it'd be. That chorus is actually pretty good. That's my favorite part of the song. I think this song could've had mainstream success if a bigger name recorded it.

    165. Harry Styles - Lights Up: I'm not really a fan of this song. This particular style just isn't my cup of tea, so to speak. The indie pop vibe isn't my favorite, but that's cool this song was able to grow on you.

    164. Alessia Cara - October: NHT, but this was nice. I don't know if it's a song I'll remember, but it was an enjoyable little tune as I listened to it now.

    163. Ava Max - So Am I: NHT....Hmmm....This sounds very similar to "Sweet But Psycho." Is she trying to replicate that song's success? Anyway, the song is catchy and she delivers it well.

    162. Little Mix - Think About Us (featuring Ty Dolla Sign): I'm not really familiar with this one. Hmm...This one was just okay after a first listen. I think I'd like the version without the rapper better. Once again, Perrie's voice is my favorite of the group.

    161. JoJo - Sabotage (featuring Chika): I'm glad JoJo is back to releasing music, but I feel bad for not checking out her new songs. So, this is the first time I'm hearing this. I do like the chorus better than the verses. I guess she wants to go for a more mature sound now, but she still sounds great.

    160. Caleb Lee Hutchinson - Left of Me: I totally forgot about this guy until I saw this song just now. : ph34r: Hmm...The arrangement is kind of generic. Nothing really too original here. I don't think the song needs to be this long either. This one didn't really impress me much, sorry to say.

    159. Alec Benjamin - Jesus In LA: NHT. His vocals are average; it's clear he's limited on what he can do vocally, but I guess he's doing the best he can with this singer-songwriter kind of delivery? This one was just okay to me.

    158. Black Eyed Peas - Be Nice (featuring Snoop Dogg): I saw this episode of Songland (or at least parts of it), so I'm somewhat familiar with this song. The delivery is fine, but it's not really making too much of an impression on me. But it's got a good message!

    157. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (featuring Miley Cyrus): Did she sing this on SNL? If she did, then I heard this already, but I forgot about it until now. As I'm hearing it here now, it's just okay. It's not something I would seek out to hear again.

    156. Ciara - Greatest Love: I haven't heard this one before, but this is good! She sounds great here, and the vibe is cool.

    155. Keith Urban - We Were: I don't listen to country radio anymore, so I miss out on a lot of new country songs these days. So, I'm not too familiar with this song, but I do like this song and Keith Urban. I like his delivery here, as well as what the lyrics are saying. If I heard this more, then it could've been one of my favorites of the year, too.

    Same to you!

Aww...Well, maybe I can put something together last minute? I just haven't kept up with a lot of new music this year.

    - I agree!

    - Oh, well you don't have to. :bye2: That's too bad, but at least you enjoy David's voice.

    - Yay!

    - It is. I'm not sure, but it's not the only song to do that this year. :o I completely agree.

    - Glad you like it, at least.

    - "Yeah, this song was a downer." :lmao: I do really enjoy it, although I guess it doesn't exactly get you in the spirit.

    - You should know of them considering all the work I put in in the rankdown. :giggle: omg yes she is their daughter! I love how you guessed that. :haha: She does deserve coal. :giggle: Aww, but it has Christmasy lyrics. Yay you listening to the others! Your favorite is fine with me since it's the melody of possibly my favorite song of the series.:bobo:

    - Ooh that's cool! I'm glad you liked it so much.

    - Aww I'm sad and surprised you feel that way. I think he has a great voice. But at least you like the meaning of the song.

    :w00t:

    - Glad you like it on first listen!

    - That's understandable.

    - Aww yes.

    - Ah, I wish Little Mix could break into the U.S., so you'd hear about them more. I do my best to keep up with them.

    - Ooh, love that you like this more than you expected! Aww. :bye2:

    - I get that and it's not really my favorite either.

    - Makes sense. Glad you like it!

    - I didn't think of that, but they do have a similiar vibe. I like her style. :bobo:

    - Aww okay. I prefer it without the rapper as well.

    - Same.

    - Oh. :( I thought you'd like this one more.

    - Oooh. That's too bad.

    - Oh yay, cool you watched that episode. It does have a great message.

    - I don't watch SNL, so I wouldn't know, but possibly. Aww okay.

    - Yay, glad you like this.

    - You don't? :( Oh. But yay you liking this at least!

Aww it's up to you. I can't imagine, seeing as I always have so many songs. :haha:
