Yes. Margie was closer to making Top 20 on her first season than making top 40 on her second season

13th- Just Sam’s full audition 

13th- preview of Francisco. Little bit of singing. Mainly showing his nerves. 
15th- Day before full audition of Louis

It’s always so tough to pick people out though. I remember when people thought Francisco wasn’t going to be good. There were hardly any videos of him, his promo of like 5 seconds of singing didn’t sound that great, and he wasn’t in the original top 20 spoilers

hoping Hunter makes it far. Possibly my favorite guy. His voice isn’t super strong but his tone is so good

Yeah I think her audition was total promo type stuff to get people to tune in and not much more

I'm saying this because the producers care about ratings and want to get lots of views. They know they won't have that if they don't have former President Donald Trump's Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway's daughter competing on American Idol. Also, the show would face backlash for not keeping her on because some people would think they decide to not have Claudia Conway move on to the semifinals because her family is conservative and there are a good amount of conservatives who watch American Idol.

I mean that in a good way because there is nothing wrong with being weird or quirky. Zach Donofrio is the male version of Catie Turner. I mean they are similar and that's why they make a great couple as they are dating and show that they have good chemistry together.

She was on loads of shows during this period including the view. Very talented child performer

Here's who was in the promos last season. Kimmy, Arthur, Kay Genyse, Aliana, Amber, Just Sam, Ren, and multiple people we never even saw. It moreso gurantees promo singers will be on the premiere than go far. Also the week before promos are more important. The oscar one had a boatload of top 40 people.

It seems like Anilee and Cassandra have been in almost every promo as well
