i agree with the Cinderella comment analysis, but i don't think that makes him TCO. they wouldn't intentionally undermine him all season long if he was TCO - it could have backfired (and if we are being honest, there were many times where it felt like he was one of those at risk of going home). i do think they intended for him to have a full circle arc with him proving Katy wrong - but i don't think they particularly cared where he placed. it could've been anywhere from Top 10 to now and that arc would've felt complete. 

 

overall, i think he is a contestant who was designed to have a dark horse/underdog arc similar to the likes of Megan Danielle and Leah Marlene most recently. i can see him winning still (and i'd be happy with it) but i don't think TPTB are going to go out of their way to make it happen. 

I agree that what you said -- I think that Jack isn't the Chosen One, but instead a dark horse & underdog.  But I prefer him to Will, so I wouldn't hate it if Jack won.  Still, Abi's the real Chosen One.

I wouldn't be too upset if Jack won, but I still have faith that Abi will pull out the win.

I’m so sorry that your favorite lost.  I know what that’s like — I’ve had my favorites fall short of the finale way too many times.  I didn’t hate Emmy but I didn’t think she could keep up with the others.

I don’t hate Emmy.  In fact, she was one of my side favorites.  But Hsamid is right — she just wasn’t a great singer and her performance skills definitely needed work.  I’m glad she got this far and I wish Emmy the best.

I think that Jack will come in third, thanks to Will getting Triston and maybe Emmy’s votes.

But I’m predicting that Abi wins the whole thing because Will is too predictable and doesn’t take enough risks.

I’m not surprised that Emmy and Triston were eliminated.  They were at the bottom of the barrel, and it was time for them to go.

abi easily won the night and both rounds IMO. i really hope she makes the finale. it would be a shame if she doesn't. 

i still think the most fair finale would be abi, jack and will. 

I agree that Abi won the night and both rounds.

Will was better but his song choice was predictable.  And I winced a little at one point.

Jack did better on this song than on his first one.

Abi was terrific as always.

Triston’s song choice was predictable but he was still good.  Or maybe I’m wrong.

Emmy was much better this song than with “The Climb”.  Not like that was hard.

I’d probably have the same ranking as you.

Will’s vocals were good but this wasn’t a good song for him.  And he apparently forgot the words at one point.  He might be in trouble.

Agreed.  The vocals were good but the dance moves dropped him in my eyes.  Not enough to come in last though.

Jack was good.  Better than Triston and Emmy.

I also voted with all three methods.  Mind you, I had to ask someone if I could borrow their iPhone in order to get text votes in for Abi, but I got them in.

Emmy was just okay.  A bad song choice for her.
