  1. Fun fact Chris was the last person to send in his rankings and if he put I Hate Love Songs in the top 8 it was gonna win. If he put it 9th Cry Pretty would have won the tiebreaker.
  2. #2 is up @*Wallace @taylorkat@1234567890 @Steven_ @*Chris @*Diana @jarmon
  3. 2. "Cry Pretty" - Carrie Underwood 5.5 Steven 1 Chris 1 Diana 1 Gigi 1 Wallace 1 Akshar 4 Victoria 15 QK 20 Comments: Steven: "Cry Pretty" is one of Carrie's most personal songs to date. Carrie revealed in an interview that the song was inspired from having to hide her pain while she was going through some miscarriages. While these very sad times were going on in her life, she still had to keep a smile for the public and pretend everything was fine. It's a very emotional song, and Carrie captures that perfectly in her delivery here. The song starts off subtly until it builds to that powerful ending. It matches the tone of the song since it's about trying to keep everything together, but then you finally just have to let it all out. "Cry Pretty" is one of Carrie's best songs, and her performance of this at the ACM Awards is one of her best live performances ever. It's an amazing song, and an easy #1 for me. Wallace: Cry Pretty" may not be my ultimate favorite Carrie Underwood song per se, but I do still consider it a favorite of mine from her discography. It is my favorite single of the Cry Pretty era. This was also quite an easy #1 pick for me for the whole Top 20 here. This was such a strong and great comeback single from Carrie, especially with the hardships she had gone through prior releasing this. Carrie really excels at these vulnerable and emotional songs with providing such heartbreak and emotion and this is no different. She can sometimes give me chills with some lyrics she sings here. My favorite parts are the chorus and bridge, especially with how she powers through all of those sections of the song with such ease. Obviously with my #1 ranking, I am rooting for this song to win and I hope it can do so. It has a great shot, but with a number of people mentioning this song could/should win, I hope and worry that we didn't jinx this song's chance of winning. Chris: This song is one that tend to be a bit polarizing among some fans - some people love but some people hate it especially as a debut single. Personally speaking, I absolutely love it - I actually think this was one of her best debut single, in a few years. And of course, in a true Carrie fashion, she served us with some VOCALS while showcasing why she's one of the best in the business to convey emotions while doing so. (Note : This song is essentially tied with my #2). QK: So I decided to put this 20th because last time I ranked something 17th it won so I figured 20 was safer. I was fully expecting either this or Kacey to win but that didn't happen. I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy about the overall outcome because I was not expecting Kelsea to win a season. So congrats to her on that.
  4. Love the effort you put into that. But I still don't see anything fishy.
  5. our top 2 scores were 5.375 and 5.5 which translates to literally 1 ranker moving up or a down a song 1 spot as the sole difference between the top 2!
  6. #3 is up @*Chris @*Wallace @*Diana @jarmon @Steven_ @1234567890 @taylorkat
  7. 3. "Space Cowboy" - Kacey Musgraves 6.125 Akshar 2 Gigi 2 Chris 4 Diana 4 Victoria 7 QK 9 Steven 9 Wallace 12 Comments: Chris: :When I first heard this song, I fell in love with it right away - if you know me, you know that I absolutely love ballads especially this kind of ballads. The way you can feel the meaning of the song through her voice speaks volume to her storytelling capability. As well, I will use this occasion to promote Brandon Stansell's version of the song - Brandon is a gay country male singer who deserves all the recognition in the world, among many other underrated singers that deserves more recognition but fail to have it due to the lack of diversity in the country music industry mainly country radio. Steven: Maybe I've heard this song before, but I can't remember. Listening to it now, it's not what I expected based on the title. The lyrics are clever, and Kacey sounds pretty as she always does. QK: Golden Hour top to bottom is a great album and Space Cowboy is no exception there. Rainbow is still my favorite from the album but Space Cowboy is good too. Wallace: Of the two Kacey songs here, I feel more familiar with "Space Cowboy." This is a really pretty, emotional and vulnerable song from Kacey. She always sells emotion so well with her songs and this is no different. She sounds really pretty here too. The part that always stood out to me was that you could have your space, cowboy. I always found that part unique as I did not expect that from seeing the song. Anyway, this is a really nice song and I do enjoy this from Kacey - though I am still #TeamHighHorseandRainbow.
  8. I am going to post the rest of the top 3 tonight so free to make any top 3 predictions.
  9. Also I prefer @*Wallace scenario where the top 3 was my #1, #2 and #20.
  10. 4 is up! @*Chris @*Diana @jarmon @taylorkat @1234567890 @Steven_ @*Wallace
  11. 4. "Worth It" - Danielle Bradbery 6.875 QK 1 Victoria 2 Akshar 5 Diana 5 Gigi 8 Wallace 10 Steven 10 Chris 14 Comments: QK: Danielle is amazing and I am super happy that she made the top 4! I was a fan of Danielle's from the Voice and I liked her first album but it wasn't till the I Don't Believe We've Met era that I became of full blown Danielle Stan. Every song on the album is fantastic my only complaint is that it was only 10 songs I would have liked more songs! Worth It I do think is the gem of the album but Potential and really all the other songs are bops as well. Wallace: Of course Danielle Bradbery manages to get all 3 of her songs in the finals in QK's game. I am certain I heard all of these Danielle songs before through IDF, but I don't know which is my favorite of these songs. But this is really good. This is a really pretty, powerful and moving song from Danielle. I like the heart and emotion she pours into the song here. The chorus is my favorite part and is a really powerful part of the song. Steven: I really like Danielle's vocals here, especially in the chorus. Chris: This is apparently one of her fans' favourite songs of hers - I can see why but I don't think I'd go back to it. If I were to go back to one of her song, I would go back to Potential.
