Glad we have a new season, the ASC was trash and AI montaged the heck out of Allegra so this has been a pretty boring off season. 

Anyways, Kelly leaving is bad for the show because she's hella entertaining, but she does nothing for my indie favorites so good riddance I guess. I'm indifferent rn . Without Kelly's classic Country/Powerhouse/teen playoff combo, predicting will be more challenging this season though

As for Camila, I think she's gonna be Ariana 2.0. Winning the show isn't  her purpose on this show lul.

Excited for Allegra on Idol! I feel she's gonna get the Ava August treatment. The judges love unique artists so she's gonna be fine at least until the voting rounds.

Her bio makes a good job describing Allegra's style:

The Covid season really screwed her with the video format because her stage presence got limited to  a little room and the producers did her dirty too, so most of her fans (like me) felt that she could do so much more on the show. Hope she gets a lot fans on AI this season.

BTW, Chloe was in love with her EP back then, and now she doesn't even acknowledge Fantasy anymore. That should give you a good idea of her personality

Like TA pointed out, her KO-Playoff-Top 13 combo was spectacular. We hardly see frontrunners killing it three weeks in a row.

This thread is the exact reason why my snowflakes are young marketable contestants

. They all have potential but it takes way more than that to make it big. 

In a general sense, I'd say the ones who take the mainstream route (country, pop, R&B) and are willing to compromise a bit, have the better opportunities. So the average  country Males, young pop guys/girls and R&B contestants are in a better place than everyone else already, regardless of placement on the show.

Pre-show, I thought they were good but not particularly strong. 

After the blinds, I stopped mocking them because they got a pretty good spot in the premiere and an even better reception from the audience. 

After battles, I thought they were Kelly’s frontrunners and a lock for the Finale. 

After Knockouts it was pretty obvious they were going to win. 

Obviously supporting Queen Allegra on Idol. Probably gonna give the American Song Contest a chance too. 

(iirc) It's only four months until the next batch of spoilers, so you all are being overly dramatic

Yeah it happens every season and that's hilarious to me . I bet some people genuinely think Maelyn doesn't have power in her voice

Maelyn used to have one IG video going full "screamer" mode and it was crazy good (and effortless). 

In this specific case I think it would have been well received because she's got a heavenly tone + that little twang that makes Minivan crazy. In fact part of me was hoping she could sing a soul classic so this kind of thread would have been unnecessary in the future but here we are

I ruled out Wendy from day one mainly because Blake just won a season. Yep, what can I do, I'm a simple man that follows simple rules 

Let's just face it, just like duos/trios  R&B/soul divas have way too much to overcome on this show. It's impossible for that kind of act to win the show
