"Ratings may not mean much anymore considering TV is dying but why not, let’s discuss anyway.

The Voice S17 premiere scored a 1.7 in the demo with 8.84 million viewers. Lowest premiere and viewers to date, but after last season that’s honestly a lot better than I expected. They won the night by 2/10ths of a point and crushed the other shows in viewers. Impressive.

Final: 1.7, 8.93 million viewers. Pretty good for a show in S17 in 2019.

Final: Adjusted up to a 1.6 with 8.32 million viewers. Reeeeeally not doing bad at all.

The format ALONE is making this season not looking promising. As we know, we're getting only 3 weeks of lives which obviously means that the format will be messy and the lives will all bloodbaths.

 

This is the first time where I'm flat-out dreading the season MORE than looking forward to it... because I have a really bad feeling about this season.
