    “Invincible” by Kelly Clarkson

I know it’s been covered like twice, but one was a finale duet (Meghan and Kelly), and the other was a pitchy blind audition (Sophia). A good solo cover by a soulful singer would be great to hear.

We have not had good luck with that song 😭

Riley Biederer did it but got montaged (studio didn’t sound bad tbh)

And Karlee Metzger kinda got bussed with it during season 11. Her voice was not meant to belt like that…

Which taping (or day) do you think?

I actually prefer incomplete spoilers because we get surprises along the way. Knowing the full spoilers is boring. Getting surprised by some of the people who we didn’t find out made lives until later (like Katie Rae) was really interesting.

The post was 1 week ago. June 22nd. So I would guess taping 3

The surprise element is some nice nostalgia (I remember when I first started following spoilers and people were excited when they found out who the blue hair girl was during season 9 lol) but I also enjoy seeing how the producers arrange things

By looking at Insta accounts, I was able to collect some interesting information about who was in some of the tapings of season 21:

TAPING FOUR (possibly missed at tapings 1-3):

    Joshua Vacanti

    Lana Scott

TAPING FIVE (possibly missed at taping 6):

Paris Winningham (first of taping five)*

    Katie Rae

    Chavon Rodgers

    Marco Salvador

    TAPING EIGHT:

    Janora Brown

For Paris, I gathered the information by watching his Insta lives. For the others, I saw posts saying that they auditioned “a year ago”, and I was able to use last year’s dates to deduce what tapings they were probably in.

It looks like Sophia Bromberg was in the first few tapings

The one thing I miss about Voice pandemic era was finding out every detail of the taping :(

If you enjoy indie/folk type singers, you are gonna enjoy the show a lot. But, if you like R&B/pop/powerhouses type singers, yeah, i recommend you to watch another version. That's why i hardly could get into it, good singers, just not my preference.

I'll personally stick with only The Voice USA for now. I just can't get into other versions (or other shows) for some reason.

Then I guess I’m giving The Voice Norway a try !

  5. Season 3 on and off

Season 4 was when I started really watching. I remember where I was when Danielle won and I can’t believe that was almost 10 years ago. I was really young and have loved it ever since

I joined The Voice Australia in season 3, The Voice UK in season 3, The Voice of Holland season 8, The voice kids UK Season 1.

I only started The Voice Germany Germany in 2020 (season 10) but I don’t follow that one as closely as the others

Since Holland is kinda gone forever now and Kids Uk only lasts 3 days out of the year, I might join another franchise soon. I want to start watching The Voice Norway.

I'm curious to know what you think about this one. It's not from The Voice USA (It's from The Voice UK) but in my opinion it's a really good cover.  She is a clasically trained singer, so, she managed to put an interesting twist on the song.

This was such a cool cover and she was better than BOTH of Wills finalists

Despite the flack that TVUK gets, they do have a good track record for letting different types of artists on. Especially opera/classical

Honestly, finding the first name is typically the hardest part, after that it gets easier. I'd advise you to start with past contestants' followers (maybe typing words like generic names or "music" and such) and looking out for the classic hotel selfies. Not the quickest method whatsoever but you spend some time and I've managed to find a solid pool of auditioning contestants in past seasons doing so.

Also, hope you recover soon from covid! I was also recently infected and it's mild but it still sucks lol.

Also typing “I am” or “Iam” into past contestants followers could be helpful. It seems to be a common handle for musicians

  8. I’m now realizing the total parallel between the genres of the season 4 and 6 coaches and our current coaches

    Usher/John, Gwen/Adam, Shakira/Camila, Blake/Blake

Now that we know this season has a lot of country I wonder if the season will be like season 4 (on a casting level, not talent, that season is untouchable)

Lots of country with a few Spanish speaking/powerhouse/alternative artists thrown in

  9. I voted Shakira for worse. I love Shakira but I’m basing this on her coaching. Season 4 was such a strong season yet her team was noticeably the weakest. Season 6 was better but she still struggled with getting votes (not really fair to compare though since her team was brutally bussed that year) also a former Team Shakira member said how disinterested she was in supporting the team. Which isn’t the best quality in a coach. I actually really enjoyed her personality so I would be willing to see her again, especially since it’s been a long time.

I did not vote for Ariana for worse as she did actually have some good talent on her team and did way more than expected of her when it came to being invested in the show. I want to give her another chance because until the lives, I feel like she was doing well

And I liked Miley actually because she came up with the coolest song choices of any coach and seemed to really connect with her artists emotionally

I did not enjoy Adams TV personality but he brought out the best in some artists who weren’t originally front runners

Alicia for best. Every time she was here her team was absolutely incredible. She attracted strong artists, made good decisions, and came up with some cool song choices in the process (What’s Love Got To Do With It for Britton as an example) I love her demeanor, I truly do miss seeing her on the show

Honorable mention to Kelly who really brought so much personality to the show

This is an interesting point. Maybe John or Gwen is dominating. I think John would most likely be dominating by this analogy considering he is the coach who has been on The Voice panel the second longest.

    If that’s the case

I could see producers putting a lot of talented “John bait” contestants in the mix seeing as he hasn’t won for quite a while. Strong artists who would likely pick him which would explain him dominating

Maybe a lot of rnb gospel contestants then ?

Alternatively- Something else I could see

All the non-country contestants probably now see John as the safest choice seeing as Kelly is gone. So maybe Blake had his usual crowd and everyone else gravitated towards John

  11. 1-The Show Must Go On

    2-You Will Be Found

    3-Falling

    4-If I Ain’t Got You

    5-Ashes

    6-My Heart Will Go On

    7-You and I

    8-Hand In My Pocket

    9-Into The Unlnown

    10-Good 4 U

None of these were “bad” though. Some were just stronger than others. Overall quite a consistent run.

Not a snowflake of mine but I did quite enjoy him this past season and I’m interested to see where he goes now

Hey y’all! Just wanted to keep y’all posted that we’re actively working on getting that info to you. That being said, the info is a LOOOOT harder this season for reasons I’ll explain later on. Specifically names are complicated. Think of it as several first-name only or other “Jiminee” and Livianca” stuff like last season.

TL;DR we’ll be taking longer than usual.

BUT I’LL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS:

If the info we have thus far is accurate, there’s one coach that’s clearly dominating. Might be a S21 Kelly-type run, who knows? Discuss. ;)

“Similar to Kelly S21” I’m going to interpret that as a returning coach dominating

Probably John or Gwen since Blake doesn’t dominate. He usually has 2-3 artists who are bound to be finalists from the jump. Which wasn’t a Kelly s21 run

I would like it if Gwen wasn’t an underdog coach for a season. Because both times she had an artist in the final was because of an instant save and during season 19 it was team quotas

  13. Such a long shot but I would love if they were more flexible with artists from past seasons returning

Not an all star seasons or artists who made it far

But for artists eliminated blinds-playoffs be given a chance to re-audition, which would be nice especially for artists unfairly eliminated.

It’s been so long since some of them have been on the show most of the audience woundnt even notice and also it could create a nice “come back kid” narrative that The Voice loves so much

Itll probably never happen but Germany, Holland, Australia, and France have allowed for a similar type of thing so

    Predictions For This Season:

    1. TPTB will push for John and Camila to win. Blake has a chance because of Minivan.

    2. Gwen will not win.

    3. There will be a pot of alternative, indie, reggae, ska rock, Latin pop, and pop singers.

    4. There will not be a lot of country singers, but there will be a country or country-adjacent person in the finale.

    5. There will be a fair share of R&B/soul/gospel singers, but there will not be a lot of R&B/soul powerhouses. We will probably see a singer that is sort of similar to Libianca.

    6. There will be at least one returning no-chair, and more returning no-chairs and artists from other similar shows than normal.

    7. The male/female balance will be relatively even, and neither of those genders will dominate.
    8. There will be a genderqueer artists (whether that be non-binary, transgender, gender-fluid, or just gender-nonconforming).

I may update this post if I think of something else before the first spoilers come out.

I also do not think Gwen will win

Sadly, she’s not popular with the core audience and she just won anyway so she won’t get producer support

I don’t think a Camila win is impossible, but only John and Kelly have been the only coaches to win on their first attempt so it’s going to take a a lot of producer support

I’m thinking they want John to win. It’s been 4 years of him being shut out of the top 2

Either way Blake will have at least 1 finalist like (almost) always

Because of Gwen and Camila I’m really hoping we get some interesting, unique artists this season!!

one of my favorite performances is "Those Were The Days " by Darby Walker (live version) and I can't find it anywhere (the studio version is perfect too, but the live version is just amazing)

    https://m.bilibili.com/video/BV14s411x7YW

I thought it sounded slightly too affected but that performance didn’t deserve all the flack it received

Speaking of Those Were The Days-I miss Miley’s song choices so much. They didn’t always land, but she came up with many original, creative song ideas in a way that’s both memorable and refreshing.

But what about Marco Salvador? I really hope he comes back this upcoming season! 💙🙏🏻 To me, he is amazing at just 16 years old, and I really hope at least a chair will turn for him this time, if he does come back this season.

    Its looking like no

There has been minimal social media activity since the 18th, although today his friends from Florida posted a picture with him in it so I'm thinking it's unlikely. He actually wouldve been a good Camila/bilingual contestant

  17. Since artists for this coming season are in LA right now preparing for their rapidly approaching audition

I did a quick scan of last seasons no-chair turns to see if there was anything that would indicate a comeback

The only slightly cryptic thing I found was a story from Jasmine Mills saying

“Everything comes to you at the right time” but it looks like she’s in DC right now

Out of the running for returning

Camryn B-In London right now and shes performing the national anthem in Pomona on the 19th

Bubba- Attended pride in Buffalo New York yesterday

Jared Brasher-clearly in his house last couple of posts

Serenity Arce-2 days ago she was tagged in a post in Florida

Probably out of the running for returning

Lexi Stojack-Was tagged in Cincinnati on the 29th of May. She could’ve flown out to LA since then(and she has been very quiet) but it’s cutting it close

Kayla Lily-Recently in Florida. Not sure how recently though

All the others have been SUPER QUIET on social media. Artists like Gracie Nourbash, Joe McGuinness, and Lucas O’Reily haven’t posted anything over the last month. Since artists don’t do usual projects/gigs while working on the show it COULD mean something but probably not

Moriah Formica and her band Plush have their second top 40 Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay single with Better Off Alone and a new single out on 06.10.  Meanwhile, since opening for the Paramour/Halestorm tour, they've opened for Slash with Miles Kennedy, Wolf Von Halen and Sevendust. They're currently on the festival circuit

I love Plush. Some of my favorite post show music to come from a Voice contestant

Has anyone ever sang "The Power of Love" by Celine on the show (and actually did good)? I'd love that

Yes Chris Mann vs Monique Benaboo did it but that was an entire decade ago

It was good, but it didn’t feel like a moment. Also it was a bit cheesy with the face touching at the end 😂

Just another song that Tessanne would’ve done really well with

There are some really good international Voice versions of the song. I agree it would be nice since it’s one of Celine’s less overdone songs

Y’all I think we might be getting back the spring season?!

From the open call guidelines for June

    1. If you are selected as a participant, you must be willing to travel to and reside at one or more undisclosed locations in the United States for several weeks at any time in October 2022 and May 2023 (or as otherwise scheduled by Producer). Economy travel to be paid for by Producer.”

Thats the normal time for fall blinds being filmed

ITS LOOKING ALOT LIKE IT. Not going to get my hopes up but it seems very likely

I’m glad I don’t have to feel the way I’ve felt these last 6 months again

(I have other hobbies and a life but The Voice is the only TV show I fully watch)

I’ve been following Jamie Miller who was on Team JHud on the Voice UK. He has a US based manager and a US focused record deal, so he’s trying to “break America” without first being successful in his home country.

Anyway, this popped up on his IG tag:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CeRj-iTv9if/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

He’s a new client of a PR & promotional company that markets western celebrities in China. I find the whole thing fascinating. His team is really going big.

Good for him !! It takes a lot of hustle and strategy to make it, a lot of Voice artists don’t realize this coming off the show and that’s mainly why there aren’t so many “main stream” success stories

Following the Voice I’ve learned a lot about the music business (for better or worse lol) and he seems to be on the right path. Can’t wait to see where he goes !

  23. Season 6 was full of sentimental favorites who have become iconic in voice history

Someone who kind of got lost in shuffle that season but is doing big things right now-Dani Moz

Not necessarily a solo artist but doing pretty big things in the music industry

Shes actually been back on the Voice to do backing vocals. She did backing vocals for Lana and Wendy this past season as well as backing for John Legends guest performances on the show.

In addition she’s one of Miley and Pinks backing vocalists. Most recently she was on Mileys South America tour and provided background her live album As well as performing on Miley’s NBC new year special with Brandi Carlisle and is now doing festivals with Pink. She’s also performed for Jessie J, Steven Tyler,  Kealla Settle on The Ellen Show and Cynthia Erivo at The Oscars

Dani is also the House Band Vocalist on Don’t Forgot The Lyrics which is airing on Fox right now !!

We love it when Voice artists find lots of opportunities post show !!
