1) there’s no scientifically proven correlation between weight and voice so losing weight couldn’t have resulted in lost control

2) he mentioned his father is a vocal coach so he’d be there to ensure that he wouldn’t lose his vocal ability

The problem is that they are Professional Singers.  Idol is supposed to be about finding the unknown, the diamond in the rough - and giving them a chance.  It is supposed to be an amateur singing show.

 

 

 

I can understand the sentiment and if the American public didn’t want to vote for them for that reason I’d get it (I wouldn’t like it but I’d get it)

My annoyances were more about how the show attempted to paint the narrative that they were sent home because they sung bad, a narrative that is very unlikely considering their experience.
