Season 16. It had Maddie Poppe. That’s all I need to say.

I'm also biased because it had a tour...

As much as he deserves one... David Cook's fanbase is dead on IDF so... Here's his biggest news for next year!

There's also ONE US date! Hoping for an American tour with these two because it would be great! :D

Fave season? Three way tie between AI7, AI8, and AI10. Just so many happy memories with both seasons.

Most hated season? Three way tie between 9, 12, and 14. They're the least popular for a reason, and the reason is they ALL sucked.

Fav: Season 5. Memorable contestants. Strong singers. Very entertaining. Seasons 4, 7, 8, 10 and 15 were very good too.

 

Least Fav: Season 9. The worst group of vocalists ever on the show. Lots of good people passed over in favor of dull singers. Tons of producer manipulation. They couldn’t even be bothered to write original songs for the Top 2. Season 14 is a close second.

For me:

 

Season 10- The show felt fresh and fun after a dismal Season 9. The finalists were diverse. And it gave me my favorite winner ever. Plus, unpopular opinion, but I loved the final two contestants.

 

Season 14- Just kinda boring. No real standouts. I think I even prefer Season 9 ahead of this. I think if Sarina lasted longer, it could had been better. Joey, Clark, and Nick weren't bad, but ehh.

Favorite Season: Season 7, probably. I was a huge David Archuleta fan and I loved so many that season. Either Season 7 or Season 9.

 

Least Favorite Season: Season 12: It was terrible and the first season I stopped watching half way through EVER since I've watched the show (which I started in Season 3). Mariah and Nicki were horrible, the constant fighting, the mediocre contestants, etc. it was truly one of the worst seasons the show has ever had. The most entertaining part was the auditions episode where Mariah and Nicki were fighting bad, but that got old real quick and I was sick of it being about them constantly. The contestants sucked.

Season 12 is so forgettable that people forget to hate on it.

AI16 Had Catie, Maddie, and Cade. Nuff said. lol

AI17 Had Jeremiah, Alejandro, and Laine. And... No one else of interest to me. The Top 10 had potential but if I don't remember you at the end of the year you're history. IMO

AI18? I'm hoping for a black or hispanic winner. Someone with real potential. Male or female I don't mind.

15 and 17; the season never got a tour for. (!)

IKR? That had to suck.

I wish American Idol had a show performance/live tour journey DVD set out for FOX Idol and season 16 on ABC!

I don't appreciate secret threads the public don't have access to. It makes it seem very shady and makes us little people think we are being talked about without being able to partake in the conversation. :'( This is discrimination and it shouldn't be allowed. (!)

It does require an account to see those threads, but nothing is overly secretive about it. It's so spoilers about shows are spread all over the site. Not a bad thing. IMO

God we are never getting another AI tour are we? I doubt anyone could top my AI16 2018 experience, but still!

Do we think Hollywood Records will give him a physical album release? They didn't release Maddie's on CD and I'm still annoyed by it. Yet, they release other artists albums they have on CD.. It makes me feel like they don't truly support the Idols or believe in them.

Maddie got physical CDs but they are almost online only exclusives sold through a local shop in Iowa...

I have a copy thankfully.

I am glad she has a thread on here again now!! She's very talented.

That's not all from my time at the concert! She also singled me out on stage as the only Maddie shirt wearing fan by saying "I can see one Maddie shirt in the crowd..."

Now I doubt I was the only one, but 1. It was Gabby's hometown show. and 2. At the meet and greet she said she liked my shirt. lol

I know I made quite a few fan threads, but it felt weird seeing her original one go...

Maddie is my favorite winner, since she’s the only winner that I picked from the beginning (in this case, during the Top 14 round, when she sang “Homeward Bound”).

I wish all of her AI performances were available to download somewhere in the form of a studio recording. She had so many cool song choices during her run on the show!

OK. The font went back to normal, but the font SIZE is still small. Hmm. :o

He's been posting videos from the recording studio on his Instagram stories/Snapchat. I think they might be waiting to release music until closer to the next season so they can use that for promo. Then again, with how much they dropped the ball promoting Maddie's album, who even knows?

I hope they learned their lesson from that promo disaster...

Laine's music is NOT country too. IMO His genre isn't as defined as past Idols. I hope they don't market him as pop either though. At most he's rock with a soulful edge. Again. Just basing that on his Idol performances...

My sister's fanart gift she made for Kris (We tried giving it to him and our shortness got in the way at the buses. lmao) during the AI tour in 2009...

The framed picture features just Kris & Katy, and has tour mascot Wolfgang (REMEMBER HIM?!) hanging from the frame.

I am hoping she redoes it with Kris' 3 children, and dog Zorro in the picture frame!

Awesome! It still needs to meld with me on repeat listens, but it is definitely beautiful work!

I just love this guy. First Idol alumni where I can say that I loved him since his audition!

My sister Hayley and I (I'm in the Maddie Poppe shirt. lol) met him in Munhall, PA last year during the Idol Live! tour!
