Because the vaccine does not prevent transmission.

The vaccine does not protect you from being infected and does not prevent transmission or spread of the virus. And if the vaccinated and non-vaccinated can both get sick from the virus and can spread the virus, why the mandate and discrimination against the non-vaccinated workers/employees?

They fired  70k+ healthcare workers in NY due to the vaccine mandate. Probably 10s of 1000s in blue states up north too. When flu and colds season hit the area, they could have more problems in these hospitals.

    That’s hilarious.

They definitely enjoy being told what to do by politicians and unelected bureaucrats.

I do not think this applies to everyone who votes for Democrats, and it actually applies to a minority of people who vote for Republicans too. It’s a bipartisan affliction suffered by at least half the population. In the short term, this will result in a shift in voting behavior for a significant percentage of the population. Politicians who can best articulate the right to “make their own decisions” will benefit the most, as long as their enacted policies match their rhetoric.

I keep going back to Reagan's words and how they've been proven true time and time again, especially in the last 18 months:

    Excerpts:

Directed by the Wachowskis, Individual Responsibility features a loaded cast of stars like George Clooney, Alec Baldwin, Chris Evans, and Margot Robbie who are all navigating a hellish American landscape where the government is just a small constitutional republic and the citizens are left all alone to make up their own rules for their lives so long as they don’t hurt anyone else or take their stuff.

“It’s Atlas Shrugged meets The Quiet Place,” noted Baldwin who plays the limited government orange-hued president who doesn’t care if his citizens buy AR-15s, pay less than a 39% top income tax rate, or go to church without wearing a mask or being vaccinated.

    ...

The premise of the movie is quite outside what modern American moviegoers living in a cradle-to-grave welfare state expect and it might be too much for some viewers. At publishing time, the Motion Pictures Association of America is rating this movie NC-17 for scenes of sheer terror depicting a restrained government just following the Constitution and not telling you what to do with your life.

Still nothing from my employer about the vaccine mandate. I heard they are trying to implement a $700,000 fine for companies who do not comply.  That is pocket change for my employer, and they will likely pay it, if the only other alternative is to fire thousands of people.

OSHA has not issued their guidelines yet. And they may not, which means the mandate for companies with 100+ employees may just be a threat or bluff and won't be implemented.

The $700k fine is attached to a bill that may not pass, if Manchin and Synema won't budge.

It’s all part of “build back better.” No, I’m not talking about the massive bill they’re trying to push through Congress.  Allowing millions of illegals from all over the world passage through the border causes more economic calamity, and gets them one step closer to their goal of bankrupting the system as we know it, as do the vaccine mandates. They probably know it will cost them the House and Senate next year, but they have the power now, and will try to push through as much of their agenda as possible while it lasts. As a bonus, they will have more Democrat voters some day.

Is the Republican Party leadership in on the scam too? They've been very quiet about all this.

Instead, we have 134 GOP representatives who voted for the bill that has red flag law against veterans, and drafting women to the military.

I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around 400,000 more on the way. That’s about the population of Minneapolis, Atlanta, or Miami! And none of them have jobs, health care, or a place to live.

    And about 20% have COVID…..

Even Obama spoke out about this the other day.

Biden's "administration" is moving them by planes and buses to many cities in many states, dispersing them into towns and cities, sometimes without notifying the local government. Tucker Carlson talked about "The Great Replacement".

The caravans and this latest surge of people rushing to the border is well coordinated.  We're supposed to believe that these people all of a sudden decided  to move to America, walking thousands of miles, without resources or money. Somebody or some group is funding these efforts.

That's why I don't believe the government is really concerned about the citizens' health when they impose the vaccine mandate on working citizens, yet the borders are wide open for illegal aliens and "refugees" to enter without testing or vaccine mandates.

I actually find this odd. I feel terrible for these caribbean island nations devastated by Hurricanes and poverty but how did all these Haitians manage to even make their way into Mexico in the first place? Mexico requires passports and other regulations just to enter

They've been in South America for years (granted asylum). Now, they come to the US, "seeking asylum".

"For starters, a majority of the Haitians who illegally crossed into the United States to seek asylum did not come directly from Haiti. Due to Haiti's long-standing problems and natural disasters, many Haitians have left the country and settled in other countries in Central and South America, particularly Chile and Brazil."

Yup. And in 2022, they will change the definition again - must have the most recent booster shot (booster #2? #3?) to be considered "fully vaccinated."

Just look at the two test bed countries, Israel and Australia, to see where the US is headed, unless more and more people would stop complying and start acting like free people.

    Quote

Brandon Schadt, Johnson & Johnson Regional Business Lead: “It’s a kid, you just don’t do that, you know? Not something that’s so unknown in terms of repercussions down the road, you know?”

Schadt: "Kids shouldn't get a f*cking [COVID] vaccine."

Justin Durrant, Johnson & Johnson Scientist: “Don’t get the Johnson & Johnson [COVID vaccine], I didn’t tell you though.”

I wish she picked Ariana or Kelly though. They probably could have helped her more with confidence, especially Ariana, who probably can give her useful pointers for someone starting very young in the industry.
