I love his voice on this song. He seems really connected to the lyrics of the song, and his rasp adds more weight to his storytelling.

I love their voices more now that they've grown and their voices became fuller and richer.

Style wise, Aliyah and Kaylee may be different, and Kaylee has more range, but there is a bit of similarity to their tones. Though I didn't really notice it until you mentioned it haha (Aliyah, Kaylee).

I like Kaylee's lower register and I think it is one of her strengths. I hope she would develop it more as she grows into her voice.

That’s an interesting point, and probably true. Getting eliminated in the playoffs is probably a good result for Noah in the long run. He got some exposure, but not too much. 

Maybe. But I think Reba let go of her best chance to win this season. Noah winning the season would have given him a chance to get signed to a major Nashville label sooner.

Noah's KO against Huntley and Claudia B is the early release video for Monday. Noah sounded great, and I love his song choice.

Tone and roundness of voice are some of the qualities that make one my season favorite. Sometimes, my favorite also happen to be among the top vocalists of the season. As to genre, my favorites cover all kinds lol

I used to watch American Idol on Fox, before regularly watching The Voice starting with S3. The Idol favorites I still support are Jason Castro (S7), Scotty McCreery (S10) and Jessica Sanchez (S11). 

I love Kaylee's dress for her KO performance. I'm glad that all her outfits fit her age. Sometimes, they put young contestants in clothes (and makeup) that makes them so much older than their age.

Congratulations to Mara for advancing to the playoffs with a great performance that earned two steals.  We won't know which coach she picked, Niall or Gwen, until Tuesday's episode.

Rewatching Kaylee's KO, the coaches' reactions are something else, especially Niall. Ain't no way Kaylee was going home after that performance. She would have gotten a steal if John lost his mind and didn't pick her.

Congratulations to Tom for advancing to the playoffs. I think he should have won that KO and the audience agrees with me. He has the most app %age in his KO group and 2nd behind Kaylee for tonight's KOs.

Congratulations to Kaylee for winning her KO. Her KO performance is insanely great. Although Mara and Caleb were really good, and they may have won easily against other contestants on John's team, Kaylee is the clear winner in her group.

I'm not surprised that Jessica Sanchez is one of her idols. Kaylee's and Jessica's covers of "Sweet Dreams" are really good.

I'm not good at lip reading but I think there's a "you" in what she's singing, and a big note towards the end, maybe a falsetto also.

But looking forward to Kaylee's performance this week. I hope she closes the episode again.

So much is made of her ability to reach ridiculous high notes, that I think her lower register is underrated. Listen to the texture in her voice on “Killing Me Softly.” I prefer this approach, with a mixture of occasional highs (she’s not going high on this song, just in general) as opposed to singing an entire song in her upper register. She can do both, but it’s just a personal preference. There are other examples, but this is a song everyone is familiar with. It’s one of the best covers of the song I’ve ever heard.

I love her lower notes, and I think as she grows older and her voice becomes more round and full, her lower notes would be more impressive.

Thanks for finding this interview. The host is right about Julia's voice, that it would be good in commercials. She has such a cool speaking voice, she could find success as voice actor as well (for animated films and anime).
