after conversations that occured in this thread earlier in the week, i made the decision not to count Zoey's ratings. As per Rule 6: "You are free to rate however you want. However, you are not allowed to give unjust high scores or low scores to specific contestants in order to boost your favorites and/or sabotage others. I can will be able to tell if you are trying to do this based on your comments on the site, lol."  if anybody has issues with this i am open to discussing.

So you’re just discounting my opinion based on the fact I don’t think she’s given a performance worthy of a high score yet one user in particular has given her a 10 every single week yet that gets counted? Pretty double standards when my scores have changed every single week and I even gave my favourite contestant left some of the lowest score this last week. But continue to count their scores as that doesn’t seem to have been taken in to account since that’s favouring Abi.

I don't really want to start anything and I promise I'm not, but I personally am not sure if it's really fair to discard one person's ratings for said rule. :ph34rwave:BUT I do understand and get the opinion... and respect it. There could be some biased ratings from people that are for or against certain contestants. But there's kind of no way to judge or tell if that's possible if people are voting in a biased/strategic way or if they are being genuine with their ratings (the latter of which should totally be allowed). But maybe you can tell from people's comments on here?

I'm only commenting on this as I run a similar game to this for DWTS and SCD, and I see some questionable and odd scoring in favor for or against couples quite often. I usually count those scores as I like to think those are genuine scores even if I do happen to disagree with them.

But yeah just wanted to voice those thoughts - as someone that's done this kind of game. I respect however it's done and handled, as ultimately it is up to the host.

  6. Well done to "Let It Go" on getting 2nd. At around Top 5 or 4, I was rooting against it and worried about it winning - but then I was thinking it wouldn't win as there was my #10 and (I felt 99% sure) Alex's #13 for this song, so I was thinking it would come in 2nd. But it's certainly an iconic song and deserving of making it this far.

I'm happy with "Poor Unfortunate Souls" winning. Definitely an iconic villain song and an iconic song in general. I had a strong feeling this song would win. I especially felt sure of it when I noticed this didn't have any Bottom 10 rankings (with #9 being its possible lowest rank). Not surprised and definitely a deserving win.

Great job in running this rankdown, Steven!   It was a lot of fun to be apart of - though I didn't love how some of the final results went. But it was still fun.

    • Thanks 1
  7. Some thoughts on the last few eliminations:

Lol poor Tom Sandoval losing both of his entries in the first cycle but that was to be expected. :haha: But I'm fine with his Special Forces entry lasting longer here. OMG I forgot what the deal was with his disqualification. It happened randomly and so suddenly. Was it because of him bringing pics of Raquel? I honestly forgot if it was that. :lmao: That does seem kinda random.

Ughh now I'm getting flashbacks Donut/John outlasting Candelabra/Keyshia and I was raging and so mad about that. 😐 And then for Donut to make it to 2nd over Gazelle/Janel was super frustrating too. He was okay/fine. He had some decent performances especially towards the end of his run but there were 3 bigger standouts to him that season. Not sure if I would have eliminated him this soon but I'm not upset about it either.

Ahh yeah, Jamie Lynn wasn't too good on DWTS. I was a bit surprised about her elimination as I thought her controversy + her (family) name would have kept her in. But yeah it's clear Britney's fans weren't going to support her. It's insane how she did 3 reality TV shows in 2023, but... at least her DWTS showing was her highest placement here so well done to her for that, I guess?  :haha: Poor Alan and hopefully he can have better luck with his partner this upcoming season.

  10. LOL I started off doing terribly OBVIOUSLY.... and then I was starting to make up some ground and do decently/pretty good. But now with the last few reveals, the song I was most rooting for to win gets revealed with each reveal. :dead: 🤣

Mama Harpers American Idol journey ends.  Maybe she will get a solo next week.

UGH I didn't think of that. 😢 Now I'm sad. 😢 But yeah Mama Harper better get a solo next week!

The true country guy is in the final?

    27 minutes ago, Floaty said:

Well that could still happen since Will is still in the finale. :dead:

LOL that's very true but we were all (as a forum) were moreso expecting Triston to be in the finale over Will. :dead:

A black country guy was never a sure thing when there was still a white country guy around. Triston might have been country beyond his years, but he's still ultimately trying to appeal to a fanbase that's heavily Confederate.

That's a good point. There's still an uphill battle for POC country artists to get and gather up support compared to white country artists.

  12. Good spot for "Zero to Hero" though I was hoping it could have gone a little further. Yayy to all of the people calling this song their favorite from the movie! ❤️

I'll be content with whichever song wins, though none are a super all-time favorite song for me like those in my Top 4 were. But yeah, there's two songs I'm pulling for, so fingers crossed for those.
