    By the way, I see a lot of song choices up here that I probably know from The Voice Season 21 or possibly Seasons 19/23/22(?). I just have a question about this one, though. The song “I Swear” by All-4-One is a song cover of the song of the same name by John Michael Montgomery (which I know and like because a friend of mine sang it on The Voice). Am I right about that?

    So I heard for tonight’s Duet Rounds on American Idol S21, the judges let everybody (not just the Platinum Ticket recipients, but every contestant this season that made it through to the Duet Rounds) choose their own duet partners again this season.

     

    Personally, I liked it more when the duet partners were assigned by the judges, like in the Battle Rounds of The Voice, where the battle partners are always decided on by the coach, but still, I can’t wait for tonight’s episode!! 💙

    Don’t forget, there was Worth the Wait in Season 19 that sang “Little White Church” with Taryn Papa. The Bundys in Season 16 singing “Songbird” with Mikaela Astel. Also in Season 21, there was The Joy Reunion singing “Joy to the World” with Peedy, and KCK3 singing “Come On Over, Baby” with Ryleigh Plank. I like all the battles, but I’m choosing GNT vs. Kinsey for “Seven Bridges Road”.

    The Futon Critic seems to have the listing schedule for the rest of the season. Monday episodes start April 1st and end May 1st. This is my guess at what the format will look like (assuming nothing changes):

     

    Sunday, 4/16 - Top 26 Group 1
    Monday, 4/17 - Top 26 Group 2
    Sunday, 4/23 - Top 26 Results/Top 20 Perform
    Monday, 4/24 - Top 20 Results/Top 14 Reveal
    Sunday, 4/30 - Top 14 Perform/Results
    Monday, 5/1 - Top 10 Perform/Results
    Sunday, 5/7 - Top 7 Perform/Results
    Sunday, 5/14 - Top 5 Perform/Results
    Sunday, 5/21 - Top 3 (Finale) Perform/Results

     

    Same format as last season except instead of it going from 14-11-10 it's just 14-10. Not bad! 

    Dang, Nick and I liked the Top 11 Round (aka the Judges’ Song Contest) last season! Hope they will plan for a good Disney night to happen on one of the Sundays. 🙏🏻 I LOVE Disney night, so I’m hoping and praying it’ll happen on one of those listed days!!
