honestly it’s so ironic how Reba and Niall are the newer coaches, but they made much better decisions this season then the veteran coaches in John and Gwen. 

I’m sorry y’all but I hate Gwen’s coaching this season. I wish it was her season 17 coaching instead

The thing about Gwen’s coaching is that once she gets attached to a certain artist she keeps them until the end, she doesn’t care about how much chair turns each artist gets or how good they are she cares about how much heart they put into a certain performance. She loves teenage singers and Bias was probably the artist she loved since the beginning, and her picking Kara is probably bc she also loves R+B soul singers and old fashioned ones as well. So her top 3 makes sense, I just wonder if Bias and Tanner stepped it up because their competition in Rudi, Stee and Lennon seems pretty rough. Kara definitely deserved her Top 3 spot, I just hope Bias and Tanner did as well!

This whole Kaylee situation reminds me of Kala from last season, both were presented and pimped really good, then unfortunately get eliminated in the playoffs. 

It’s like everytime we love a certain female singer who kills it everytime they get eliminated way too early. The difference is though Chance only got to pick 2 people, while John can pick 3, I don’t know how Kaylee lost and I don’t think that girl can get a bad song and sing bad bc she’s that good, I totally see her killing her playoff performance and losing just like Kala. Poor Kaylee tbh

- Jacquie was definitely Gwen´s strongest singer and letting her go has been Gwen´s biggest mistake of the season (And I liked Bias in the battle). She´s coming back to haunt her for sure, because she ain´t going nowhere.

 

- I think Kaylee showed her age today. I don´t see that as an argument for not advancing her in the POs, since she´s outstanding from a technical standpoint, but I´m starting to see between the lines now.

 

- I´m convinced I´m not liking Mara singing these big ballads. I want her on something that can show more grit, something swampy and bluesy, like her battle song. I loved her there, I want more of that rasp. I´d even suggest some Tom Waits to her.
