  1. I might prefer the lack of extra set pieces.  This could make it more like the first few seasons.

I'm also hoping that Derek can somewhat compensate for the excessive nitpicking by way of his scoring.  This could be a refreshing change.  Same thing goes with no live band.

Will #lowstandards finally be toned down?

I remember that comment. :dead: The judges were SO harsh on her that first week. :dead:

I remember that too.  Even on day one, #lowstandards were there.  Maybe after all this, the judges will be less harsh on female contestants.

That's also one of the reasons I didn't like the Season 1-27 elimination system (lowest combined total).  Thank goodness they changed it to judges' choice last season so that shocking eliminations can be stopped.

We needed those sorts of judges for the likes of Bachelor Joe, Bones and Spicer. Would have paid plenty of money to see Craig Revel Horwood judging them!

    I totally agree!

  3. One thing I'm hoping for is for this to be All-Stars 2.  It's been 8 years since the first All-Stars season, and 15 years since this show premiered.  I'm also hoping they keep the judges' decision for every elimination, and maybe the scoring system could be fixed.

You clearly haven't watched this show in quite some time then! The virus kind of wrecked it, but the talent this season was at its highest since they performed a Y-chromosomectomy on Season 12 Season 11.

Unless you only watched these past two weeks. Then your criticism is fine because the judges kind of dropped the ball in crafting a Top 20 and the voters really dropped the ball narrowing those 20 contestants down to 11 and then 7. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd put the cut from 11 to 7 this year right up there with Season 9's 16 to 12 cutdown for worst quad-elimination by the voters.

I seem to agree with this.

    Plus, I can't believe it's been 10 years since Season 9.
