That could have been a seven-worthy dance if it was later in the night, imo.
Could that mean that they're finally beginning to tone down #lowstandards? (Not overscoring the males as much)

There's no voting tonight. That's next Tuesday.

I might prefer the lack of extra set pieces. This could make it more like the first few seasons.
I'm also hoping that Derek can somewhat compensate for the excessive nitpicking by way of his scoring. This could be a refreshing change. Same thing goes with no live band.
Will #lowstandards finally be toned down?

To add to the Season 10 list, I will say Kendra Chantelle and Robbie Rosen.
I can't agree more. But next season will be 10 years since Season 10. Where did the time go?

I remember that comment. The judges were SO harsh on her that first week.
I remember that too. Even on day one, #lowstandards were there. Maybe after all this, the judges will be less harsh on female contestants.
That's also one of the reasons I didn't like the Season 1-27 elimination system (lowest combined total). Thank goodness they changed it to judges' choice last season so that shocking eliminations can be stopped.

I totally agree!

Today (June 1) is the 15 year anniversary of DWTS premiering!
There's no way it's been 15 years. Where did the time go?

One thing I'm hoping for is for this to be All-Stars 2. It's been 8 years since the first All-Stars season, and 15 years since this show premiered. I'm also hoping they keep the judges' decision for every elimination, and maybe the scoring system could be fixed.

You clearly haven't watched this show in quite some time then! The virus kind of wrecked it, but the talent this season was at its highest since
they performed a Y-chromosomectomy on Season 12Season 11.Unless you only watched these past two weeks. Then your criticism is fine because the judges kind of dropped the ball in crafting a Top 20 and the voters really dropped the ball narrowing those 20 contestants down to 11 and then 7. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd put the cut from 11 to 7 this year right up there with Season 9's 16 to 12 cutdown for worst quad-elimination by the voters.
I seem to agree with this.
Plus, I can't believe it's been 10 years since Season 9.

I hope that by the time S19 rolls around, the COVID-19 pandemic will be over.

If there is anything good this season, maybe we can salvage it by getting another female winner in Just Sam. This season has otherwise turned out to be another sausagefest.

I think it's pretty gross that there is only one female in the finale this season, out of a Top 5 (20%).
