Ok ok I just caught up with the spoilers and tbh… they were a bit underwhelming. Only 3 people stood out for me atm.

Sheer Element: Love to see Jej back (and for what I saw I’m probably the only one lol). I stumbled across their The Prayer cover a few months back and it’s glorious. I really hope Kelly treats them well.

NariYella: I wasn’t really a fan of her SoundCloud leaked audio but her YouTube covers are 10/10. Plus she’s cute so she’s probably gonna be my s23 crush

Noivas: I meaaaan… that man can SING!! Definitely a strong contender for the finale. (And rn Chance’s only shot at it)

**Neil: I could totally like him if he/TPTB decides to pursue a more rock-oriented path. I’d love to hear him sing some Pink Floyd or Fleetwood Mac songs in the competition.

Btw I didn’t expect NBC to show us a teaser of S23 right after S22 wrapped. It’s like they want us to forget about the results of last night.

Probably, I think we’re entering an era where new coaches only sign for one season like Ariana and Camila. However I do see Niall coming back for s24 depending on how well he’s received in s23.

S24 panel is going to be interesting. Kelly is a given, and I’m 95% sure that John’s coming back. So the two chairs that are free are the country chair (Reba, Jason, Dolly, Tim?) and the other pop chair (returning coach or brand new one)

Do we know the chair order yet??

Honestly I’m very excited for this panel, but a bit sad that Niall and Chance are not going to have a chance (not pun intended) at winning, since I’m 95% TPTB is going to push for Blake’s final win.

Now that everyone had time to digest the news from yesterday, I don’t really understand why they anounced Blake’s departure so early.

It would’ve made more sense if they announced it next year near s23 premier or in s22 finale. 
 

Unless they really wanted to overshadow s23 panel announcement…

You´re right. NBC needs The Voice to compete with whatever network American Idol is now and The Masked Singer on Fox. I mean, they even tried creating a new show but it flopped HARD.

I really hope Niall can build a strong team, otherwise we might get  Ariana 2.0

Considering the fact that most of The Voice demographic comes from southern/middle America, doing that would be a mistake.

I saw on an article a while ago that Reba was offered Blake´s place in s1 but rejected it. Maybe they´ll ask her again and say yes.

Well... at leats we didn´t get Adam "that body of yours is absurd" Levine.

On a more serious note, at this point I don´t see any previous coach coming back besides Kelly and John. Let´s say goodbye to Miley, Alicia, JHud, Gwen and Nick (and s1-10 coaches)

Idol is a very different show than The Voice, so I don´t think that comparison is completely fair. I saw him in TVAU these past two seasons and he did a pretty good job over there. 

Now I´m wondering if Camila is going to be back at some point. She and Kelly are basically the same person and fill the same lane, and with Blake leaving, I don´t see Kelly taking more breaks. Plus we all know how minivan feels about Camila... and putting them together would be a huge risk for the ratings of the show.

This has to be one of the weirdest days ever.

We get a very weird s23 panel, which incites a whole debate on Chance The Rapper.

Blake is leaving the show, people are screaming, crying, throwing up.

And we still have a battles episode today.

What else can NBC do to us???

Blake leaving, Gwen leaving as a definite package deal. I’m not ok.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I’m kinda glad that he’s leaving. I love Blake and what he brings to the show but I think it’s time for a big change on the show. The last few seasons have been a bit bland in the coaching panel, so changing it up would be interesting. Plus it’s about time that we get a female country coach on the panel.
