Willow Pill
Willow3-740x493.jpg

As I get though my seasons of drag race I will be honest, season 14 baffled me.

Willow Pill on paper seemed like a good queen and she ended up winning. But the entire time I found myself underwhelmed with everything she did. I felt like I was missing something as the judges seemed to love her and I just didn't.

She was talented but I found myself rooting for others that season and something about her, never really stuck well. If I was to rank the winners of Drag Race she would be at the bottom (besides what was already said about Tyra) but that cut was made already thankfully.

I just feel like season 14 was not great and did not produce a good winner.

Paola... was an interesting winner for The GOAT. Yeah she was an underdog type player. She had a heated/intense argument with Da'Vonne at the end, which was a memorable moment... and I believe she started that fight calling Da'Vonne a bad name. Ugh she robbed Da'Vonne, who should have won - though unbiasedly, it was good gameplay on her end.

LMAOOO the Grocery Store Joe mention. He was SO bad and such a flop in the challenges, it was hilarious to watch. :dead:  But him outlasting and doing Tayshia dirty was nagl and I was not here for that.

Andrea Muizelaar (Canada's Next Top Model, Cycle 1)

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSjx0r4BntpuvOVk54Lfq8

For my last cut of the day, I was debating on someone who I didn't know. I had a few options but I landed on Canada's Next Top Model's Andrea Muizelaar. Though I actually had this cut in mind before Diana's ANTM Whitney cut but I didn't want to change my mind. :haha: I figured making a CNTM cut would be fine for now, as it seems less popular than the Australia version, and the CNTMs made it through towards the end, so hopefully this is a safe cut. And I'm also doing this cut to help out Sola's high school friend to win for the CNTM category.

At the time of the show, Andrea Muizelaar was 19 years old from Whitby, Ontario, who is the first winner of Canada's Next Top Model. The show aired from May 31 through July 19, 2006. She looks like the "quirky girl" and seems to have a love for fashion designing, I think. Her track record of photos being called out... doesn't seem the most impressive. She had the following call-outs: 5th-5th-4th-3rd-4th-3rd-2nd-1st-1st (win). So at least she was steadily improving? I haven't seen the season so I don't know if I would have been a fan. I'm thinking probably not, but she did what she needed to do with winning the show.

Alyssa Edwards

drag-race-alyssa-edwards-102524-1-6c2513d278b14bacb07bac938f54f0bb.jpg

Alyssa Edwards is the champion of the singular Global All-Stars season. The season took an iconic Queen from each country and had them compete against each other. I think doing all that just to give the winner to the American is kind of tacky lol. You're celebrating the diversity of drag and this iconic franchise around the world, but then 3/4 of the finalists were girls from English-speaking seasons that RuPaul knows. RuPaul's bias seemed to be showing this season. While I'm sure Alyssa did a fine job and isn't an undeserving winner, it seems that some feel there should've been more consideration for the other queens. Others complained that there were too many comedy challenges, which disenfranchised the girls from other countries where English is their second language. Reminds me of The Challenge doing spelling and word challenges or eliminations that require communication even though they're determined to cast people who barely speak English . Alyssa shouldn't take the hit because her season was bad or RuPaul was biased. But it seems like plenty felt that while Alyssa was good, she wasn't as exciting as she had been in the past. I also watched Alyssa on The GOAT this past year and I didn't like her self-righteous attitude and her feud with Da'Vonne. Da'Vonne played the game strategically and Alyssa would just whine about how unfair she was for not "playing fairly". You're the one who signed up for a strategic reality show Alyssa :kissbye:. But she did bring "The only thing you love is the bottle" into my life and as much of a low blow that was to say to a recovering alcoholic, it has lived rent free in my mind. And I know this cut isn't about The GOAT, but #yolo easier to talk about something I actually know than a show I don't.

Adrianne Curry

adrianne-curry-ANTM-071224-f1e2aab4837a42329ef160370ec7af56.jpg

Adrianne's fall off the deep end is just sad to me. Adrianne was the first winner of America's Next Top Model. She was the voice of the people that season. While I'm an Elyse stan first and foremost, she is admittedly condescending and rude and didn't necessarily have a passion for modeling (). Adrianne was the relatable protagonist of ANTM Cycle 1. She survived food poisoning and still made it to judging on time. She got sexually assaulted at a subway in Paris, but still persevered with the competition. Overall, she seemed like such a normal and chill girl. That's who Tyra wanted. Someone that was gonna erase the stigma about models being above-it-all and unrelatable. You could imagine bumping into Adrianne at a bar and listening to her ramble on about Silent Bob for an hour. She had a cute relationship with her mother who she wanted to win the competition and provide for her the way her mother provided for Adrianne. Adrianne was unapologetically herself. She stood up to Robin and her Bigotry Brigade. So imagine my shock and disappointment that Adrianne has now become the person she loathed. Adrianne is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, everything phobic bible thumper now. She does not show care and compassion for the underdog like she used to. She is not just a silent Trump supporter like I'm sure plenty of our faves are. She loudly and proudly votes for him and screams about "men in the restrooms" or whatever insane right wing talking point has her pissed off that day. I don't know what happened to that girl in 2002 who criticized Robin & Shannon for hiding in their room when Ebony's girlfriend came to visit, but I miss her and I want her back.

Yeah I still can't figure out what this Bachelor Pad show is. It seems it's Bachelor Nation's answer to The Challenge? This spinoff was not as successful as Bachelor in Paradise. It only lasted three seasons from 2010-2012. It's funny, Love Island seems to be following a similar trajectory to Bachelor Nation in spinoffs. Love Island Games is their version of Bachelor Pad and Love Island All-Stars is their version of Bachelor in Paradise. But anyways onto Michael. He is the winner of the second season of Bachelor Pad with Holly Durst. Michael won three out of the six challenges throughout the season and then he and Holly won nearly all the jury votes to go on to win the game. They were given a prisoner's dilemma of either splitting the prize winnings or trying to steal them all for themselves and they both agreed to split the money. Unfortunately it was not a love connection for Michael & Holly, but Holly did go on to marry Blake Julian. Michael returned for Season 3 of Bachelor Pad but was not as successful the second time around. Michael is a man in Bachelor Nation and from what I've learned from the Bachelor reddit is they're all problematic so I don't trust that Michael doesn't have some skeletons in his closet 👀

I was really curious to hear about Drag Race Global All-Stars but haven't heard or kept up with much of the reception of it. 😮  I really liked the concept of it so it's a shame that it was kinda not well received (from what I'm seeing in here so far). I do know Alyssa was one of the few I knew from it.

Oh dear.... was not really aware of the Adrienne stuff. Gah disappointing how she ended up as I did really enjoy her on ANTM.

Ahh gosh, I do remember watching Bachelor Pad and liking it, but it's been so long since it's aired that I forgot a lot of what happened and most of who took part in it. :haha:  I do remember Jake/Vienna being apart of one of the seasons, which was..... reallly rough. 🙈 Kinda sad it didn't really take off as it was a fun challenges kind of show but oh well.

Team UK (Chris "CT", Dee, Jordan & Rogan")

Chris "CT" Tamburello, Dee Nguyen, Jordan Wiseley and Rogan O'Connor representing Team UK are the winners of The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2. I don't understand how this season went down as I'm pretty sure CT & Jordan aren't from the UK. I don't know much from the wiki regarding this season what went down exactly but it would appear that CT, Dee and Rogan weren't in an elimination challenge all season. Jordan was in 2 elimination challenges. The finale consisted of 3 teams of 4, I would've probably been rooting for Cara Maria's team to win. I like her. CT just annoys me so I am biased. I do like Jordan though. Don't exactly have much thoughts surrounding Dee & Rogan. Anyways, I'm cutting a mix of people I know and people I don't.

I liked everyone from Team UK winners.  CT is excellent, Jordan is the GOAT, Dee was a solid addition to the winners circle and Rogan is hot.

MICHAEL VOLTAGGIO

Michael Voltaggio | Food Network

Damn, Michael Voltaggio is fine AF. Kinda regretting the cut but also idk him soooo yeah. He is the winner of Season 6 of Top Chef. He competed on this season against his brother Bryan Voltaggio who was the co-runner up. So, it would seem this family really knows how to cook. Michael won 3 challenges and Bryan won 4, damn! Michael was high 6 times and only placed low once. I think that is a hella impressive track record so seems like a deserving winner to me! I normally used to like these cooking shows but then as I got older, it kinda faded but maybe I need to give Top Chef or Masterchef a watch again. Anyways, sorry to any Michael fans, I'm just cutting some peeps I don't know.

LOL to this day, it still cracks me up how there was only one true Brit on Team UK. :dead: It's so misleading. :haha:

I feel kinda differently to you on this team. :dead: CT and Jordan are The Challenge legends and I do respect them for that. I did like Dee for the most part (I think I did for this season) but sadly outside of show drama disappointed me. I remember finding Rogan really annoying. I was never really a fan of his on the seasons he's done the show.

VIENNA GIRARDI

Vienna Girardi - IMDb

Vienna Girardi is the winner of Season 14 of The Bachelor. She won the heart of Jake Pavelka but that ended up being messy and now they hate each other. They had a huge fallout on national television and that was intense to watch, I did feel bad for Vienna because Jake was brutal. However, I don't particularly like Vienna either tbh. Vienna was the villain of the season and I just didn't connect with her nor did I like her personality. On a season that had Tenley Molzahn and Gia Allemand, it was such a bummer seeing them get eliminated at the end of the season because Jake chose Vienna. Like damn, but anyways they were too good for Jake. Also, lol I just Rozlyn Papa was also on this season, icon. Anyways, Vienna was just an unlikable person and I am glad to be cutting her from this Rankdown.

Ahh yeah.... I think Akshar said it all perfectly on Vienna. I wasn't really much of a fan of hers (and also loved Tenley too! ) Vienna was a good villain, I suppose, but still wasn't really a fan. I liked Jake at the start/during his season but then... he showed a really nasty and brutal side of him on that special and it made me change my mind on him. And made me sympathize/feel bad for Vienna. :( Phew, they were just toxic together.

And also lol that Vienna got cut when I just mentioned remembering their time on Bachelor Pad. :haha:
