Alex95 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Vance Walker (Season 15) So clearly I have no idea how American Ninja Warrior worked. I thought it was similar to something like Chopped where each episode is just different people running an obstacle course. I didn't realize there were season long narratives and only one person won in the end. And I guess the same people just come back and keep winning over and over again lol. Vance Walker was on S15. He dominated the first few rounds, but fell into trouble when he lost in stage two to Ethan Bartnicki on the Falling Shelves challenge. He had to do a runoff which he beat Alex Romer in and stayed alive. He made it to the final stage of the finals and beat Daniel Gil by about a second to win a million dollars. Vance is also in this game for winning S16 so I'll leave that alone. I figured no one would care if I cut one Vance Walker iteration. He's cute though. Save Shilpa Shetty 1
Alex95 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Home Free A country a cappella singing group sounds like an actual nightmare to me. Home Free are the winners of the 4th season of The Sing Off. I do not care for a cappella music so The Sing Off was not a show I ever tuned in for. Amongst their song choices were "Cruise", "Life Is a Highway", "Ring of Fire", "Oh, Pretty Woman", "I'm Alright", "Colder Weather", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" , and "I Want Crazy". So yeah, I know their vibe. No thank you. The runners-up Ten had some really fun songs, I wish they could have won! But alas, they did not. Home Free is still performing so good for them and their fans. I am not one. Save Brooke & Scott

*Wallace Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Gah only the first day of cuts and I'm already devastated over some cuts. 1 1
Solaris Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 Ive only seen 7-8 seasons of Strictly or partial seasons but Abbey slayed. Honestly has so many fantastic routines. 1
*Wallace Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Maggie Ausburn (Big Brother U.S., Season 6) Goshh I really struggled with deciding my last cut for the day. At first, I didn't really want to make a cut on Big Brother as we had quite a number of cuts from that show today. But I guess I ended up settling on this cut of Maggie today just to make sure she doesn't outlast any people I like more from that show I probably won't be able to save, I guess? At the time of the show, Maggie Ausburn is an ER nurse from Las Vegas, Nevada, who competed on and won the 6th season of the American version of Big Brother, which aired from July 7 – September 20, 2005. This was actually the season where I got back into watching Big Brother, as I initially watched the first two seasons when it aired, then I stopped watching it for a couple of seasons. Season 6 was quite a fun and iconic season with a lot of intense, heated and memorable rivalries and alliances. But I thought Maggie as a character was just meh. I can't really think of her contributing to any fun, entertaining or heated moments on the season, while I can for over half of the other cast members. Maggie was a good game player, for sure. There was a secret partner's twist that season. Maggie's secret partner was Eric Littmann, aka "Cappy." She was a member of the Friendship alliance, which was perceived as the unlikable/un-rootable alliance of the season, who were against the beloved Sovereign Six alliance. When Eric aka "Cappy" was eliminated, I believe around Week 2, the who Friendship alliance were SO extra about his eviction for such a long time, as if they were mourning his death which was just extra. They would get to see him after the season ended. Maggie was the glue and viewed as the leader of this alliance, keeping this alliance of herself, Ivette, April, Beau and Jennifer for as long as she could. Maggie won HoH only once, on Week 4, where she initially nominated James & Kaysar -James won the Veto and Janelle was up in his place and the houseguests evicted Kaysar. Good move for Maggie, I guess. But I certainly wasn't here for it. Maggie was nominated for eviction 4 times - on weeks 3, 7, 10 and 11. She survived the vote on Weeks 3, 10 and 11, while on Week 7 she was ironically veto'd by Janelle. Ooh and I am also reading/finding out, that on the live feeds, Maggie and James had a conversation during her HoH week where she revealed that she had someone covered up for her on a wrongful death lawsuit where one of her patients died. Fast forward to the end of the game, Ivette won the final HoH, evicted Janelle (ew) and took Maggie to the Final 2 with her. Maggie put up a stronger performance to the jury, in which she won by a 4-3 vote over Ivette. Oh wow, for some reason, I thought Maggie won by more votes than that. Overall, Maggie was just meh/eh to me. I don't think I actively disliked her, but I wasn't a fan nor really entertained by her. She was a good game player but was "just there" and meh for me. She was up against someone quite controversial and unlikable to some, so maybe that helped her win the game as well. Saving: Joe McElderry
FrogLenzen Posted January 9 Posted January 9 ugh I'm dreading again the thought of writing about people I don't know for the entire rankdown... but that's the strategy right?
FrogLenzen Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Nicole Franzel-Arroyo (Reindeer Games) New year new me. Apologies in advance to all rankers and all contestants in this game because I might be going even more sparse with my write-ups. Diana cut Nicole first in the game but this was still remaining. She must be a Sola fan fave because no one really reacted to that cut from what I saw. I remember her from the 2023 RTV game, she apparently won this cute little christmas special version of the show. Big Brother, limited series, Christmas, repeat winner, this checks off all the boxes to leave this game early. Diana seems to dislike her but she appears to be Big Brother royalty. But the reindeer games will not be tolerated by me for another rankdown Save the remaining Vance Walker win 1
FrogLenzen Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hannah Brown Toughest Test Okay well at least I know who this person is even if I didn't watch this program. Good for her for making it all the way through the toughest test, this show is unique in that they are just competing against the challenges and not necessarily each other. There can be multiple winners of a season! I think there were this time! That is no fun. Eliminate one by one and pick one winner. Even Ninja Warrior gives the title to only one person even though everyone who completes the course should win. Also I don't think Hannah is much of a fan fave these days, kind of surprised to see this make it through the first round anyway Save Jordan Fisher
Solaris Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 I wouldn't say Nicole is a sola favorite. I respect that shes done so well 4 times, winning twice. She doesn't have my stan card, but she could if she just owned that she was a villain. She is, but she just doesn't rep it. She started to in Reindeer games and I appreciate that. As for Big Brother Rankdown, I saved her only because rankers will gun for her and I thought she deserved to make a better run this time.
FrogLenzen Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Rookies (Frank, Jillian, Johanna, Nehemiah, Rachel & Tori) Gonna pick a random team on The Challenge that has too many people on it as my next cut. Also reddit tells me this team won by default because of some medical disqualification? Seems anticlimactic to me but some viewers say the other team was so annoying that it felt good to see them lose for literally any reason. I wonder which side I would have fallen on. Either way, if you want to be a big team winning this rankdown you should be a dance crew or an acapella group lolololol. Two big teams competing for a whole season doesn't necessarily pique my interest. I'm personally glad the rookies won because otherwise it'd be a list of 10 people who won this season rather than just 6 Save Talia Fowler
Alex95 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Okay yes the win may be asterisked but the other team was awful and got karmic retribution for mistreating Coral. Also Frank & Jillian deserved
Solaris Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Damn that's a lot of American Big Brother Winners eliminated already.
*Wallace Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Aww the Rookies team was kind of one of those really long listed Challenge teams I was hoping to make it far. Though not too upset with them going, as I don't remember the earlier teams that well. But how they "won" was reallly hilarious. The vets were annoying and the rookies were more rootable, or at least some of them were, so I was happy that they "won." I really enjoyed Hannah on Special Forces. Didn't expect that entry of her to make it through but kinda glad it did. I guess I liked Nicole on Reindeer Games too, but it was such a short season that no one really bothered or annoyed me on it. Though I was annoyed she won over Taylor.

*Diana Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) Paola Mayfield I am honestly today years old learning about "GOAT" so in fear of being left with literally everything I know nothing about after this round I am going to mix it up and do a write up on a contestant I have no idea who they are now lmao. Paola Mayfield is the winner of the GOAT show which stands for "The Greatest Reality Show Contestant of All Time" Now I can't take this show seriously if that's the goal but you're telling me Grocery Store Joe from the bachelor was runner up. Oh no. Back to Paola, she was from 90 day fiance originally which explains why I have no idea who she is anyway she went on to win this show so good for her. Looking at the reviews, seems this show was a bit of a flop and Paola was the underdog winner. Not feeling like this is a big loss right now. Saving Ellie Leach & Vito Coppola Edited January 9 by *Diana
*Wallace Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Gonna claim this for now... cut: Chris Daugherty Chevel Shepherd save: Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough Cam Anthony
*Diana Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Whitney Thompson You had Anya (one of the most robbed runner ups ever honestly), You had Fatima, You had Dominique, You had Katarzyna... and Whitney Thompson still won. It still baffles me to this day. She wasn't a good model, had a really awful personality “my best friend is buh-lack" still makes me want to cringe. And she didn't take any good pictures. It was insufferable to watch her win that season for the sole reason Tyra wanted a "plus size" winner. She did go on to have what appears to be a successful career for a winner of top model I guess so good for her but her hateful spirit and problematic behavior will not be ignored when she didn't even deserve that win. Saving Tara-Jean Popowich
*Wallace Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Chris Daugherty (Survivor: Vanuatu) Okay I know we have a lot of Survivor winners, so like I said in my Big Brother write-up, I just want to cut someone from that show first that I don't care for rather than seeing some people I like or love go first. Gosh, I really wish I had my Survivor notes when I binge-watched the seasons I didn't watch in live time because that would be so helpful right now. But I will try the best that I can. At the time of the show, Chris Daugherty was a 33 year old from St. Vienna, Ohio, who competed on and won Survivor: Vanuatu, which was the 9th season of Survivor. This season aired from September 16 – December 12, 2004. Gosh it's crazy to think about Survivor in such low numbers like that. The early theme for this season had two tribes of 9 players divided by gender with men vs. women. The tribes did nearly evenly well on the immunity challenges and it was a back and forth track record for their wins. The women won the immunities on Episodes 1, 3 and 5 while the men won on Episodes 2 & 4. The women did have the upper hand in the numbers and allies and at the merge (and the tribe swap before that), they stuck together to get the men out one by one. This lasted until the Final 7 where it was 6 women vs. Chris. You would think the women would have gotten rid of Chris here. But he somehow managed to outwit and outplay some players, I can't remember how, but this led to some of the women turning against each other and then the women were voted out one by one from Top 7 to Top 3. The Final two were Twila Tanner vs. Chris Daugherty for the final tribal council. I can't remember how this tribal went, as I only saw it once on a quick binge watch, but Chris won in a 5-2 vote (and got votes from Eliza, Julie, Lean, Chad & Lea). Overall, Chris was just alright to me. He didn't do much or stand out much for me during his time on his show. I do give him props for how he maneuvered himself from an underdog position and managed to secure himself a win. That's impressive. But he's not amongst one of the more memorable winners for me. However, Chris Daugherty's name always stuck out to me as it reminds me of Chris Daughtry. Saving: Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough
*Wallace Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Chevel Shepherd (The Voice, U.S. Season 15) A quick fun fact, Chevel was one of the names I was debating on cutting yesterday but then I opted out for it. I'll go with it today. Chevel Shepherd is a country singer, who competed on the 15th season of the American version of The Voice. Chevel has always stood out as my least favorite female winner of the show and I think that still stands today. Let's get into her run. Chevel auditioned for the show, making her blind audition debut on Episode 3 where she sang "If I Die Young." She turned 3 of the judges chairs (Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson & Blake Shelton). Chevel maybe caused a bit of surprise and went with Kelly rather than Blake, which I was kinda here for. I can't remember all of the details so well on Chevel's run but I am certain that Kelly really loved her. She kept her straight through to the show and saved her in the Battles and Knockout rounds. Some songs that Chevel sang on her time of the show included: "You Look So Good in Love," "Travelin' Soldier," "Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout the Good Ol' Days)," "Little White Church," "Space Cowboy," "You're Lookin' At Country," "Blue," "She's Country"/"Country Must Be Country Wide" (duet with Kirk Jay), "It's a Little Too Late," "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain" (with Kelly Clarkson) and her original song, "Broken Hearts." I was disappointed and not very pleased with Chevel winning. Chevel was alright, I guess, but not really my cup of tea. She was only 16 on the show but I felt that her voice/talent hadn't fully developed and I don't think she was all the way ready for the show. She competed against 15-year old Kennedy Holmes, whom I felt was a much stronger singer/performer and I felt she was ready for the show. I guess I was in the minority as Chevel ended up winning the show lol. I was moreso happy for Kelly getting the win as this was her second win in a row (as she also won with Brynn on Season 14). I have no idea what Chevel is up to but I hope she's doing well. I'll link her blind audition below. Saving: Cam Anthony
