Rappers/Hip-Hop Artists as Coaches And Contestants

The past few seasons have seen two hip-hop/rap coaches as coaches: Chance the Rapper and Snoop Dogg. We have also had a few artists attempt some kind of rapping over the past 10 or so seasons, including LiBianca, Kim Cherry, and Maddi Jane.

 

What do you all think about having hip-hop/rap coaches on The Voice? Which others rappers would you want to see coach? I’d love Kendrick Lamar, Quavo, Tyler the Creator, or Eminem, not to say those are realistic.

 

Should The Voice try to cast more hip-hop/rap artists? Artists who strictly rap? Or those who both rap and sing?

He's a little too cool for this show but Anderson .Paak is both a great rapper and singer, and just a very talented musician in general. This video showcases all three of those skills.

It's my understanding anyways that most of the vocal coaching comes not from the judges but the actual vocal coaches they hire behind the scenes?

 

In that case, I don't think i care o

whether coaches are singers or not. As long as they are relatively well versed in music and performing, give good advice, and make the right decisions.

 

As for more hip hop/rap artists. I don't mind as long as there's still singing involved..
