Rodney Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Eh. There've been worse ones. Eleven. Fourteen (to some people). Seventeen (to hear @TeamAudra tell it). Eighteen. Twenty-two.
nytsch Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 23 was worse in most departments, 16 and 18 (self explanatory), if we’re talking about results 15 and 22 were worse (22 was so bad the show overhauled its whole voting system) It’s definitely up there though.
QueenKalie Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I wouldn't say worst but it's definitely down there in the bottom 3 to 5.
Dai Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 S16 and S23 were worse but it’s down there with S11, S14 and S19 for me.
+Dany Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Format wise it's bad. Only 2 live show, 3 way knockout, from playoff to top 8. It's hard to find a worst format. But to be honest at this point I stop caring. I found snowflakes that I could latch on. Sydney finish 3rd despite everyone on IDF thinking she would finish last. Christina Eagle made it to the playoffs. The other contestant was interesting enough to keep me entertain and having fun each week. And IDF was fun. The more wrong choice NBC made, the more reaction we had on IDF fun ride.
AngelaKD Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 From which perspective? Worst talent, worst format, worst set of coaches, worst results? 2
Gustavo527 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I voted for the middle option just because S16 post-battles was so painfully bad that i don't think any season can be as awful as that one. S23 and S19 were also terrible. I wanted to give S18 a pass since the contestants couldn't even have the chance of sing live but if some of them managed to be bad on these pre-taped clips i don't want to imagine how they would have sound on a live setting So, bottom 5. If the finale wouldn't be have been as awful as it was it could have been a little higher.

peachfuz Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 not even close. we've had seasons with much lower talent ceilings (season 11), seasons with much worse formats (season 16), seasons with much worse results (season 4, season 22), seasons with much worse coach decision making (season 15, debatably season 23)... i would hesitate to call this season memorable or unpredictable or entertaining, and i think it pales in comparison to seasons 24 and 25, but its definitely not the worst and its definitely definitely not the season i've enjoyed watching the least also like, as genuinely mad as some recent seasons of the show have made at times, anyone who tries to call any double digit numbered season of the show the worst season clearly never waded through the trenches of season 2 1

Kenneth96 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 "The worst season ever" is way too hard for S26. S16 and S22 exist. The question itself is dumb. It's better to grade the season, about which we already had a thread. 1
peachfuz Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 let's say we wanted to theoretically put this season up to the test and compare it to the other post-pandemic seasons... yeah even then its not even close. i think its got seasons 22 and 23 beat for different reasons

Ofc, didnt deserve it over Juliet who was great from the beginning. 19 minutes ago, peachfuz said: 1 minute ago, peachfuz said: let's say we wanted to theoretically put this season up to the test and compare it to the other post-pandemic seasons... yeah even then its not even close. i think its got seasons 22 and 23 beat for different reasons It depends what people value.. for me, I value the quality of contestants/performances above all else, and imo the contestant/performance quality of S22 beats S26 fairly easily. Now whether that's enough to override the pitiful results for other users is another question.

New but Old Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) LMAO to the one who said it's the worst, I think they are bitter with the result . To compare s26>s22(undeserving winner ruined the show)>s25(Asher and Nathan are the only ones who stood out)>s19(DeSz and Cami are the only ones who stood out)>s18(boring covid season) Actually I think the Voice is declining either way. Mistake006 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I'm kinda surprised Season 22 is so disliked. For me, Bryce winning barely makes a difference. There were still a ton of great performances and its not like winning means anything anyways. Just like Maelyn winning hardly makes Season 16 better for me. It doesn't change the fact that most of the season was still a pain to sit through. As far as Season 26 goes, it was super uneventful, but it at least didn't include any awful format changes like Season 16, or devastating playoff eliminations like Season 23. So yeah, not much good or bad to say about Season 26. It was just kinda... there.
