Both eh for me. Michael's song choices for his contestants were abysmal a lot of the times, (esp battles) but I didn't really disagree with any of his decisions. At least nothing egregious.

 

Snoop's song choices could be pretty bad but not to the same degree. Some headscratching decisions though, like advancing Christina over Austyns or Aliyah. He even admitted he didn't pick the best vocalist. " the one I'm going to select is the one that has the most room to grow"  like, the show ain't called learn how to sing..

I don’t think Michael did that well, he was just lucky some of the best vocalists picked him.

 

Snoop was great TV but I don’t think he understands the demo that much. Granted, he did better than Ariana expecting her 3 pop girlies to advance to the Top 12, but still.

Snoop is ehhh, I think i he is better as a mega mentor like back at season 20.

 

Michael's song choices pre-lives ruined him and I think they are experimental, hope that next season he picks better songs. What's good about him is that he sticks with good singers like his decision to keep Sofronio and Shye till the end.

The whole season was chaotic but great at the same time. We didn't value S21 as much as we should had, really.
