I'll just talk about Shye for now. She had one of the weirdest trajectories I've ever seen on The Voice mostly because some of her early song choices (except "Superman") were not good, but her voice was ALWAYS impeccable; she performed well even when she was given ill-fitting song choices.

 

Her Semifinals and Finals songs were among the best of the night. (I think she had the best Semis performance by far, but I think she outdid herself on "Falling" last night. "Falling" felt like one of those performances that goes down as one of the greatest in The Voice history.) Her song choice helped her there; they were all fantastic choices for her. I wish she'd figured that out earlier, although TBH, I'm not sure there was any way anyone could rival Sofronio.

Sydney: the duet with Shye
