I said it on the spoiler thread, but I think that I can say it here, too.

Even if Gwen's most certainly not winning this season on a competitive level, she still won in a lot of other ways:

  • She probably assembled her strongest team in a while.
  • She actually got to be the Queen of the Four-Chair-Turn, for once, snagging more than she's ever snagged before with a total of six (a personal best for her this season!).
  • For once, she didn't get a single pairing or grouping montaged through the Battles or Knockouts.  (BEYA vs. Kay comes the closest, but that was a short-clipped Battle, which is only a partial montage.  She never got a total montage this entire season!)
  • She got her first-ever public vote into the finale that didn't depend on team quotes (with Sydney).
  • She had her first finale sit-down with Carson since Carter.
  • She's going to have her first coach/artist duet in such a long time.

I mean, it's clear that Sydney's more than likely not winning, save for a miracle.  But Gwen still had a good season in other ways and should be absolutely proud of herself.  Despite what her awful naysayers on here say.  *Glares daggers at the two members in question*

Right I love her reaction when Carson announce she has a finalist, she looked so happy.

Yeah I was overall satisfied at Gwen for finally having a finalist after so long. Last night was not Sydney's night, I'm still expecting her to get the last place but I'd be more surprised to see her bounce even further. But at least congrats to Gwen on that.
