THIS IS SO VERY CUTE .... Family trip/birthday to Nashville

A birthday story by Avery.

Pops called and said Grami J wasn’t too excited about her birthday. I decided to treat her to a birthday week. First, Madi & I took her to Pullen Park for the Christmas train. It was REALLY, REALLY COLD. Aunt Ashley forgot her gloves and boots. She kept saying “one & done.” After Pullen Park, I had Grami jump on the tour bus with me, mom and dad. We took her to (surprise!) Nashville. The next nite, mom & dad let me spend the nite with Pops and Grami J in their hotel room. I had a great big bed all to myself. Grami J and I read books and played tug of war with her exercise bands. She also had these cool toys that shot out snowballs. Pops ran down the street and got us some Hattie’s HOT chicken for dinner. The next morning was her actual birthday. I took her to breakfast at Midtown Cafe. She let me have a little coffee. It was HOT! Dad said no more. He said I didn’t need caffeine, whatever that is. I facetimed Madi a couple times to let her know what what we were up to. The most fun was later that nite when we had dinner at the Oak Steakhouse. The mgr, Sam, was really nice and brought us all kinds of great food, including a little birthday cake & ice cream for Grami J. I helped by blowing out the candle and of course eating a little. Then, we were off to the Opry to see dad sing. I had a seat on the aisle. Santa actually surprised the audience and walked by my seat! He walked up to me, gave me a fist bump and some candy. It was awesome! I loved watching Charlie McCoy play the harmonica. Then it was time for dad to sing. He sang 4 songs and finished with an Elvis Christmas song. The people went crazy! I clapped and said Yay! Dad and his band had to catch the tour bus after the Opry show. The next morning, me, mom, Pops and Grami J all went to the airport to go back to Garner. Grami J had a great bday! Mission accomplished!
