Also, I'm personally enjoying this season a lot more than I think a lot of IDF is lol. Seriously, I actually liked quite a few of the country singers that didn't make it to this point (especially Jake Tankersley), and Christina has been one of my favorites since her audition, so I wouldn't mind her winning. I like the genre variety of this Top 8 a lot, and I think the vocal talent is great; even my bottom-ranked contestants are enjoyable and extremely talented. The biggest issue I have with this season is with the production and the schedule; I agree with everyone saying it's hard to get into it emotionally when you don't get to follow a singer's growth or journey. As someone who started watching extremely closely in Season 7 and followed it (and S8) extremely closely, I loved watching that growth, and that's missing here when you only get to watch 5-6 performances from the Top 8 contestants (only 1-2 of which will be live). 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
