The festival will take place in Southwest Florida with a range of star-studded performances. BMI singer-songwriter Scotty McCreery will wrap up Island Hopper with a pool party performance at Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach. This will be a ticketed event. buttons66 Posted September 30 Author Share Posted September 30 (edited) The Sanibel Captiva Guide 6m · The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest outdid themselves last night at “The Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina”. “iHeart Radio” were one of the sponsors and MC’d the event. The opening act was the talented Katrina Cain followed by the headlining act Scotty McCreery. Scotty was “American Idol’s” series 10 winner and is a recent inductee to “The Grand Ole Opry”. He put on a killer poolside performance. Everyone was singing and dancing along to a set that included a mix of his many hits and some well known country covers. The event nearly didn’t happen at all. The pool opened literally a couple of hours before the event. Hurricane Helene had dumped copious amounts of sand in the pool. So hats off to the Pink Shell for making this happen! A quick mention to another local company-Techtronics who supplied the amazing sound system. They supply audio and visual equipment all over the world. Thanks to the Lee County Visitor Convention Bureau, all the sponsors and participants. I know we had a blast!
