Weekly Rank The Couples - DWTS 33

Recommended Posts

  1. Chandler & Brandon: his face at Carrie Ann’s feedback and Chandler asking in the tiniest little voice “tell me how I can improve” broke my heart; they absolutely should have had a 30/30 last night and nitpicking without explaining what she needs to improve (if anything) is just petty, tbh. (=)
  2. Joey & Jenna: super cool concept, and he’s clearly the best male dancer left by a long shot, so… (=)
  3. Jenn & Sasha: I was checking everyone’s social media yesterday and she was so, so excited about getting to do a contemporary on the show; while it wasn’t nearly as flashy of choreography as some of the other dances, she was working her backside off to get her emotions into the dance and selling the story. Carrie Ann’s comment about needing to earn a 9 felt so damn catty given the routines she followed, given she had actual dance steps and didn’t fumble them…and to go from that high of her best scores yet + her dance off win to the low of being the first true shock elimination of the season after everything she’s already been through on ABC’s prime time shows? Sickening. (=)
  4. Stephen & Rylee: I had a feeling when he was first announced he’d nail a contemporary or jazz routine & I was right; he’s mostly dragged down here by his dance off performance being the absolute mess I kind of expected it would be. (+2)
  5. Ilona & Alan: In a world where the judges were basing scoring off of actual content performance and not just vibes, a 24/30 would’ve been spot on; given the scoring system for the rest of the night, however, she was NOT a full four points worse than the next-lowest dancer. (=)
  6. Danny & Dwight: bungled beginning of his dance kind of ranked him this week, but his dance-off performance wasn’t half bad. (-2)
  7. Dwight & Daniella: I should’ve expected them to make it through again after seeing they got assigned a contemporary dance, but while Daniella herself was amazing as expected, he was underwhelming at best. Also, Jenna & Ezra’s faces at the announcement of the cha-cha dance-off winner say it all. (=)

-Please no "strategic ranking" (this isn't a game, no need to rank a popular couple you like low just because you wanna see someone you like more rank higher overall)

-Please don't edit your posts. I like adding up the rankings as I get them. If you feel you have to change something, just rank again and let me know that you're ranking again. I'll use everyone's final rankings in the tally at the end of the week.

-Please include all the couples, including the one voted out this week, in your rankings

  1. Chandler & Brandon: she is an icon, she is a legend, she is the moment - and major congrats to Brandon for getting his first ever perfect scores tonight! (=)
  2. Stephen & Rylee: loved their Viennese waltz (Mark coming in to help with frame 100% saved their backsides this week) and honestly didn't think their instant dance was terrible beyond the one questionably executed jump. (+1)
  3. Joey & Jenna: Good content that was well executed in both dances, but I was kinda underwhelmed and can't really explain why? Idk, still wouldn't be that mad if he wins though. (-1)
  4. Ilona & Alan: she's clearly got the massive, massive fan base to back her up, and her quickstep was a big step in the right direction even if her instant dance was a misfire. (=)
  5. Danny & Witney: he got a bit "in his head" during the quickstep and definitely had an advantage in the instant dance since he'd just rehashed his jive last episode, but overall, about what I expected from him having to go back in frame for the first time since his foxtrot. (=)
  6. Dwight & Daniella: in the words of Ariana Grande - "thank u, next" (=)
