Weeks 3+4:

1. Ilona & Alan (+2) - Y'all know I love me an underdog story. Not to say that I "enjoyed" her tears, but I love when we get these raw and real moments out of this show, a show that has become so overproduced throughout the years. She's so damn likable and she's trying. I adore the passion.

2. Brooks & Gleb (+5) - Lol hear me out. I think the fact that they're playing the game so poorly is hilarious. Like they're trying to appeal to voters and blissfully unaware how they've isolated every voting bloc in America, yet have still made it to week five. I think Brooks is a good dancer. I think the commentary on them as a couple is valid, but I think much of the commentary has turned into slutshaming, which is making me more defensive.

3. Phaedra & Val (-1) - Phaedra is interesting to me because I feel like she's used to being the biggest personality in the room, but surrounded by these D-list celebrities there's lot of big personalities. I feel like we're seeing a different side to her that I like. There's layers there! I stand by the fact that she's one of the better Housewives we've seen on the show as a dancer.

4. Chandler & Brandon (=) - Lol that package was just a prime example of the producers overproducing to try to tell the audience she does have a personality. And I'm okay with it! Whatever it takes to stop her from getting robbed in 6th-8th place as expected.

5. Joey & Jenna (+4) - The Joey agenda is slowly working on me. He's a very good dancer and he is likable. I'll always enter a season anti the Bachelor couple, but occasionally we'll have a Melissa or Charity or Joey who does win me over by the end.

6. Stephen & Rylee (-1) - For someone I considered a lock to win preseason, he's falling into forgettable range for me. I think tonight's dance was a vast improvement over his first few. But also not as memorable. But I think that's the problem with getting stuck with a foxtrot on rock night. It's like the 2-3 unlucky people that get Latin routines on MMY. I think he can still win, but he's gonna have to find a way to take Joey down.

7. Reginald & Emma (-1) - Father . You brought a smile to my face for four weeks. Get some well deserved rest!

8. Jenn & Sasha (+3) - She's there! I think she's improving, these past two dances were actually quite good. She's just not standing out as a personality or a dancer though.

9. Danny & Witney (+1) - I keep forgetting this guy. Witney's doing a good job with him and I think the hype for her return season can carry them a bit. But he's very much getting lost amongst the bigger personalities and better dancers.

10. Eric & Britt (+3) - His panic-stricken face over not wanting to be associated with Anna's comments was the funniest thing he's done. Now he's eliminated and I'll likely forget he ever existed.

11. Dwight & Daniella (+1) - @Kamala what is your plan for stopping Dwight from making the DWTS finale over Chandler?

1. Chandler & Brandon - that cha-cha was fantastic and her jive was also great, though it lost a teensy bit of steam right at the very end. (=)
2. Joey & Jenna - the jive was a ton of fun but needed cleaner footwork, and his tango was all-around excellent. (=)
3. Stephen & Rylee - he moves like a mathematician; it’s like he’s trying to plug everything into an algorithm in his head to hit all of the moves, but he’s missing the musical, fluid side of things that’ll make everything flow together. He has improved his footwork & musicality quite a bit, so if he can manage that last puzzle piece while fine-tuning everything he’s already worked on, he’ll really start to shine. (+1)
4. Jenn & Sasha: the real fever dream element of the week is not one, but TWO of Sasha’s routines featuring minimal goofiness. Hopefully that energy continues through next week and beyond. (+3)
5. Ilona & Alan: she’s significantly stronger in frame than out of it, although after a shaky start to her jive it ended up being decent. Hopefully she’s able to move past the hiccup of tonight and have a good week next week. (+1)
6. Danny & Witney: questioning the necessity of a backflip in a foxtrot, but other than that no complaints here; just didn’t find either routine as exciting as some of the others. (-3)
7. Phaedra & Val: their quickstep was a touch messy with some good moments, and same with the paso doble; that said, neither of those routines was bad enough to warrant lower than a 7 at any point. (-2)
8. Brooks & Gleb: as corny as the choreo and the showmance are, at least they’re generating entertaining discussions. (+1)
9. Dwight & Daniella: the cha-cha was a “hell nah” but the paso wasn’t terrible, though their struggles to get into frame were evident there. (-1)
10. Eric & Britt: Not the strongest dancer for sure, but props to him for moving around the floor as much as he did while he was here. (=)
11. Reginald & Emma: I feel weird calling an old man “adorable” but I really don’t have a better word to describe the vibes of their foxtrot. As for their cha-cha, I’m gonna do them a favor and say less. (=)

Week 5:

1. Ilona & Alan (=) - The joy radiating off of Alan's face...I just know he's having the time of his life. They're so mom and dad. Need them in finale for freestyle.

2. Chandler & Brandon (+2) - Okay, we had our fun critiquing her, now hand her the 10's already.

3. Brooks & Gleb (-1) - Cunty till the very end . The fact that they were shocked is so fhduafhjhdjsfabksjhf. Delusional legends

4. Phaedra & Val (-1) - I don't like how she's falling under the radar. She's got too big of a personality.

5. Stephen & Rylee (+1) - They're cute!

6. Joey & Jenna (-1) - Congrats on the win Joey & Jenna.

7. Jenn & Sasha (+1) - Just not clicking for me. I know they've got it in them, hopefully they have a breakthrough next week.

8. Danny & Witney (+1) - I mean he's good. The fact that he's bottom two just speaks to the strength of this final nine.

9. Dwight & Daniella (+2) - Maybe I'm delusional, but I do think his time is up sooner rather than later. He's not quite having the moment that Iman had on the show.

1. Ilona & Alan: after such a rough time with the jive, seeing her redeem herself and be both badass and graceful in the same dance was so satisfying. (+4)
2. Joey & Jenna: Jenna does a solid Viennese waltz, and Joey’s proven to be consistently capable of pulling off the choreography she gives him. (=)
3. Chandler & Brandon: I wanted to like this more than I did, but even though I was a touch underwhelmed I still think she executed the content in the routine well except for the final lift. (-2)
4. Danny & Witney: her contemporary routines are always a treat, I just would’ve preferred to see something where Danny wasn’t just lifting Witney for most of it. (+2)
5. Stephen & Rylee: I love ‘em, but the fact I remember literally nothing about the dance after the pommel horse routine speaks volumes. (-2)
6. Jenn & Sasha: a step back in terms of choreography, but they made the best they had of a mismatched dance style to a song that was important to Jenn. (-2)
7. Phaedra & Val: she looked gorgeous, but the routine felt like it once again focused on Val over Phaedra. (=)
8. Brooks & Gleb: the emotional whiplash given they followed Derek & Hayley…although their shock at the results was a little bit funny. (=)
9. Dwight & Daniella: the song didn’t fit a rumba and the routine just didn’t hit for me. (=)

1. Ilona & Alan - Someone had to knock Chandler off my top spot and it was always gonna be her. She alone is so radiant but her chemistry with Alan breathes so much life into these episodes

2. Chandler & Brandon - By far the best dancer and it isn’t close, as much as they want us to believe Joey is neck and neck. Sick of the underscoring, but hoping it creates a storyline that people will vote for!

3. Brooks & Gleb - THEE reality TV what not to do. The aloofness to public perception PLUS they’re 2 hot people AND she can dance decently well? Obsessed. Of course the Brooks Experience had to end but I came around on the hilarity in full this week  

4. Phaedra & Val - She’s destined for elimination but she continues to be wonderful TV during her 5 minutes per episode!

5. Stephen & Rylee - It sucks cause I really like Stephen and want to root for him to win but he’s just not improving IMO  I worry that Rylee may not get him there

6. Jenn & Sasha - Sasha sucks the life out of all of her potential and it’s frustrating to watch, idk. She deserves a better pro, better choreo, better everything! This was supposed to be her season!

7. Joey & Jenna - He’s a great dancer but the cakewalk to the mirrorball that they’re giving him is souring me on the whole journey. And he’s hot but there’s not much else there

8. Danny & Witney - More boring version of Joey

1. Chandler & Brandon - the show will never be able to convince me that she isn't the best dancer there 

2. Joey & Jenna - Joey is very charming and fun to watch, but that didn't really come through for me in his dance this week which was a bit disappointing. still love them tho! 

3. Ilona & Alan - the more i think about it, the more i realize how she really is such a breath of fresh air to the show! even if she's not the best dancer, i think it is necessary that she sticks around until the end (or close to it) because she is an important contestant amongst the cast - in terms of representation AND bringing the cast together with her vibes  

4. Brooks & Gleb - they were super fun because of how delusional and messy they were. i wish the general public was able to appreciate the mess of their partnership rather than sl*tshaming Brooks the whole time and taking everything so seriously… same with how they also took everything Anna Delvy said in a deeply serious manner. this is a show where C/D list celebrities learn how to ballroom dance - it is never truly that deep. 

5. Danny & Witney - i feel like the contrast of his nonchalant attitude with Witney’s personality is starting to make me root for them a little bit lol. hope he can keep up the momentum!

6. Stephen & Rylee - they're losing me  

7. Phaedra & Val - i agree that her fading into the background a bit feels weird, since she is such a fun person. need more content from her! 

8. Jenn & Sasha - i really want to root for her i just do not enjoy Sasha's choreography. 

9. Dwight & Daniella - glad his weak dancing is finally getting the general public to turn on him a bit!
